Let her learn handiwork or get her PhD to lecture. You just needs to be more enterprising and inspirational or the condition will continue. Thanks! |

A big thank you to everyone.
I am taking notes:
1. Look at the option of starting a restaurant. 2. Get a better location and re-invest into the foodstuff and frozen food business 3. Learn new skills that can yield income 4. Consider taking a job as a teacher 5. Improve on herself professionally before seeking paid employment
I am still attentive and open to further suggestions. |

Hello Fam,
I need candid advice from everyone.
My wife has been a stay at home for over six years now and she is not happy about it.
We have been brainstorming on what to do.
My mother thinks she is lazy but I know that is not true.
Even her mother has been putting pressure on me to establish her(my wife).
I am determined to see her productive this year. But the days are counting very fast.
She lost her job just after our wedding and since then she has not been able to land another one.
I really don't want to bore you guys with the many travails(emotional and financial) we have gone through trying to secure a job for her.
When paid employment was not forthcoming, she went into selling foodstuff and frozen food business.
She was happy doing the business but patronage was slow and she was not good with prices so she made loses and we decided to close the shop because I kept giving her additional finance to keep the business afloat.
She has MSc in Social Works.
Please kindly help advice on job/business idea for a stay at home mum.
Please, she cannot do any MLM stuff because of nature.
Thank you all.
Waiting patiently for your counsels.

The fo.ol was begging me to buy 5crates and I refused and then asked for my money back. You have been long enough on Nairaland to know that stuffs happen. There are people who have struck genuine and highly profitable businesses, investments and deals here on NL. People come to Nairaland with the intention to genuinely help others than run into unforeseen business loses. Some come to Nairaland to solely to scam others. You don't have to take it personally. You have got investors already. As soon as they start getting returns on their investment, they can come and share their experiences. If I were in your shoes, I will just allow my work and my satisfied investors speak for me when the time right. |

Youngzubi: Since most of the African countries got their independence from the whites things have really changed, there have been vast improvement in everything around us ranging from our way of life e.g(culture) to our environment, most things we're prone to see in the late 80's and 90's have been replaced interchangeably with the modern ones some of which are mud houses for the brick ones, black and white tv for the colored plasma tv and so forth.
Vast improvement in our way of life is a welcomed development but when we ought to forget our own culture in place of another man's own is quite unfair and harmful to our future generations, even the so called whites that we seems to emulate have something called museums where they safe-keep their cultural materials, art works and others just for future reference simply because they know that as they advance towards better development there's still need for future research which might call for reference to those artifacts.
Here is images of some of the things we Africans do in the 80's that are now hard to see among our people must especially in the cities, so for the sake of the young ones lets have fun as we share them, discuss and make references.
Your contributions are important though. Pic 1:I wish I will one day have the opportunity of apologizing to the families whose privacy I and my crew invaded all in the name of watching TELEVISION. As-in we have the guts to pull the curtains without asking for permission. |

yemisi10: Please nairalanders l need your urgent advice how do l handle a colleague at work that use to engage in fraud l mean stealing money have caught him several times and l have evidence against him.
l am thinking of reporting him to the management or confront him Please advice If there have been cases of pilfering and the management is not aware, it means the audit/cash control system has loopholes. If you don't want to report him, just insist that management improve the audit or cash control system. |

Mutemenot: Fish farming is good if you have a good pond and enough money . People fail when they depend on foreign food to feed. As it stands local and foreign food are expensive but local is still the best option after one and half month of using foreign feed . Remember what you give in fish farming is what you get . Feed them less and have stunted growth . How do you manage marketing. As a novice I took good care of my fish. They came out very well but the marketing was disaster. Those women Ehn! |
