ogohiochola: My friend and his wife got married since 2015 and the Marriage is blessed with 4 Children but there's no True love, he feels nothing for her and she's like a stranger.
What can he do?
His feeling is normal...with 4 Children...his wife is over burdened with taking care of the kids...even with additional hands to help it's still not easy.
Arrival of children in a marriage comes with its challenges part which is stress, dearth of romance and spousal abandonment.
My suggestions:
1. Stop giving birth forthwith
2. Help with taking of the kids...bathing etc....this will lessen the burden on his wife and then she can have time for him.
Who will fund the cost of diesel for run the electricity generators used by MNOs to power their mast across the country.
The overheads incurred by the MNOs in providing power for their mast is humongous...and for them to operate within profit margin, the service cost will remain high.
AkuYAY: YBTC News-The Executive Vice Chairman, EVC, of the Nigeria Communication Commission, Professor Umar Danbatta, has revealed that the Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy is planning to reduce the cost of data from N1,000 to N390 per gigabyte.
Speaking to journalists in Kano on Saturday, Mr Danbatta disclosed that part of the plan was the new national broadband plan for the year 2020-2025, which says Nigeria must provide broadband connectivity, cover virtually all parts of the country and deploy 4G infrastructure also across the country.
According to him, the ministry was tasked to come up with a digital economy policy and strategies, adding that all the efforts put in place are intended to bring the cost of data down to N390 as against the N1,000 that Mobile Network Operators, MNOs, are charging. “Actually the cost has come down to N1,000/gigabyte of data, but the government is saying that we should be targeting N390 in the next 3 to 5 years. To achieve subsidized data cost, according to Mr Dambatta, the country must provide pervasive broadband data infrastructure.
“We need pervasive broadband data infrastructure because at the landing point in Lagos, where we have all the submarine cables. You know, that is why we have them. There is the main cable, 133, West African Sea Cable (WASC). And there is the other one which Glo company is trying to deploy. “This, combined, have data capacity of 40 terabyte. This data capacity is at the landing point in Lagos.
That is from the coast, where there is ocean. Until and unless you move this massive 40 terabyte data capacity into the hinterland because the undersea cables are terminating in Lagos. “Hinterland consists virtually all the major cities of the country and the 774 Local Governments of Nigeria. Through this way you will be meeting demands for data with appropriate or commensurate supply of data.
This is how it will enable Nigerians to pay less data tariff. “But this massive capacity of data at landing cost can’t move itself. There is the need to build fibre cables that can carry this capacity to the hinterland. “We are indeed pursuing the plan.
There is infrastructure and company licensing framework that could give the companies the ability to afford to sell the data to the retail agents, who will sell the data to the citizens,” he explained. At the moment, he added, the plan is not happening but is what the country intends to do to bring the cost of data down from N1,000 /gig to N390/gig, adding that the plan is an important policy of the government of President Muhammadu Buhari.
The EVC however said Nigeria is among the countries with lowest data cost in the whole Africa. “Following observation of the ranking, which was carried out by reputable global organizations, the commission had found out that Nigeria stands in 4th position among the countries with lowest data tariff on the continent,” Mr Danbatta said. He said Nigeria’s data cost is more than $2, adding that South Africa, despite her economic development, sells data higher than Nigeria and the country is not even among the lowest.
“It is true that Nigerians are yearning for low data prices. Nigeria has one of the lowest data tariff in Africa. When we observed the rankings by global reputable organizations, we discovered that in the rankings of data services and cost, we are like number 4. “Virtually all the African countries were listed in the ranking. Our data price is $2 and a few cents.
“In South Africa, despite their economic development, they sell data higher than Nigeria. To be honest with you, South Africa is not even among the lowest. Cost of data services doesn’t need to come down,” he said.
codedguy1: My take is that you cannot say/give what you don't have.
If this was the speech and it came from a sincere place then we wouldn't be in this mess in the first place because it would be assumed we have reasonable people at the helm.
The truth is this govt cannot be reasonable either in their actions or what they say. They have demonstrated it time and time again.
When there are people like Adesina, Garba and Onochie speaking on behalf of the presidency how would anyone expect anything reasonable from them.
This speech can only be given by a govt that has been reasonable from time and we can't say same about this govt.
Earthstorms: This is to document the process of creating a 50 ton per day palm kernel processing plant.
This project is in 3 phases. 1st phase will process 10 tons of kernel per day.
Some planned costs: will update the actual cost as we go on.
Location: Delta State Land cost: 700,000 naira Machine cost: 5 million (1st phase, more machines to be installed as we go along) Building: 2.5 million Electricity connection: 500,000 Installation: 300,000
Presently bearing all the cost from my savings and loans. Might accept investors when the installation is finished and we are ready for production.
I am excited about the project and we are forging ahead.
Good one. I like to ask....do you have hands-on experience on palm oil processing and the value chain?
made4naijamusic: A video making the rounds on social media has shown the moment a lady rejected her boyfriend’s public proposal.
In the video, her boyfriend could be seen standing on his feet as he begged her to close her eyes tightly while stretching out the engagement ring towards her.
As she opened her eyes, she saw him standing on his feet to propose and she got offended that he didn’t go on his knees to propose to her.
Her boyfriend on the other hand insisted that kneeling down doesn’t prove anything. He turned down all her efforts to make him kneel down and she walked out immediately.

mrcoolautofix: Hi there, there is this strange feeling I get when my car stopped me halfway to my destination in the middle of traffic or nowhere, and I coud tell lot of you have been through the same lane of frustration & you wonder, what happens that within the chunk of population of cars and people passing, not one of them is a mechanic?
The answer is, there are mechanics among them, but it's only outskirts that you could get those but in abuja city, motorists are terrible, I have once upon a time to do some road rescue mobile mechanic, with most necessary tools and parts in my trunk, when I met people who are stranded, & each time i get close to ask, I get these, I have my mechanic, another is a suspicious look like fishing something different from my primary care & intent, most of them are mostly desperately looking for a towing van if their mechanic can't come around, and the worst of all on my part is where I get to put the prospect emotional state at the forefront while my interest comes second, but i always get hit by these decisions becouse at last, the motorists who is attempting to get a towing van that will cost between 10k to 20k depending on the distance, gets his or her back to order by me, but now comes the terrible act which is how they left me feeling, Which is, please manage this N500 or N1k i didn't budget for this, & this Knicks me out, cos he or she was desperately trying to get a towing van to tow it off to a safe location, at least 10k but after fixing the car, I get that piece of shit saying manage this N500 i don't have much here or i don't budget for this.
And I could relate this to be the reason why if a mechanic sees you and your car in bad shape in the middle of the road he will not even get closer.
To Nigerian mechanics who has faced this similar situation, I don't implore you to stop, but to continue with a change of your attitude, you don't let your good heart get ruined by another bad one, instead change your mindset,
Like take your time to put your job first in the road rescue situation, observe the problem, then give the motorist a cost, agree on a fixed amount before doing the job,
The one i did last night on 10th july 2020 was stucked in the middle of the road creating traffic situations, i got the car started up and she fold the two papers and tell me i don't have much on me lets share, i thought it's 2k but reaching home, hmmm bro it's N400
I know if her mechanic get to come out that odd hour, the cost will double the normal charge as for off garage it will be 3 times. But this is the last thank you note any good mechanics wanna try, there are chances of damaging your expensive scanner cos you want to get it fixed asap which will create a bypass of safety measures to catalyze the diagnosis & fixing speed.
I don't know about all you, but every good service have is not free, nothing is free as important as where you are going so his.
BlowYourMind: Nothing tangible will come out of it, the rep committee on Niger Delta will just collect their share of the loots and sweep the matter under the rug.
You have just stated the bitter truth.....
The members of Panel are already planning on how to enrich themselves from the whole drama.
As a young child, I remembered members of AG in my neighborhood in the South-West, have regular meetings where they invite and enlist new members.
So where are there over 70 registered Political Parties in Nigeria. Why have they all gone into sleep mode? They are all so quiet both on social media and conventional media. By now they should have known that they can't beat APC and PDP with fire brigade approach.
I feel they should be in the trenches now...
1. Canvassing and recruiting members 2. Selling their Party Manifestoes and educating Nigerian on their agenda 3. Providing a strong opposition to the ruling party. 4. Preparing in-earnest for the next general election.
Waytolife: Pls I have a question, am not trying to be rude but just inquisitive, if I decide not to join in prostrating, what will happen? Will i be arrested or cursed?
Nothing o.
Those prostrating or kneeling probably did not plan to do so.
No consequences attached. It's just a way of showing respect for the royal father....And most Obas do not insist especially if you are not from the Yoruba race.
But when you see very senior men prostrating and elderly women kneeling effortless before the king, you will try to do something even..... if na to bow so that you won't be the odd one out.
