ollah2: I honestly don't know the kind of warped brains you guys have. So Atiku will make all these moves to weaken himself? The position he has been vying for since 93, he will then knowingly weaken himself just for you. A typical Nigerian politician will do that? Same way some people believe he will rule for just one term. Same stories Buhari used and worked for him is employed by him. How dunce are some of you? By your warped logic, I guess you are a fool for believing in, and voting for tribalist Buhari in 2015. You should get it into your thick skull that we are looking at two different situations here. Atiku is a successful businessman that has huge investments in Nigeria. He knows it is in his best interest that Nigeria makes progress. He knows and has publicly concluded that Nigeria must restructure in order to make progress. He, as the President, will drive the push for restructuring. He will be ably assisted by Peter Obi, an equally successful businessman who also strongly believes in restructuring, and whose region also strongly believe in restructuring. In the case of your lifeless one, he is strongly opposed to restructuring which he misconstrues to mean secession. He is more committed to handing Nigeria over to his Fulani ethnic group for perpetual domination (as informed by his pattern of appointing only his ethnic people into important security positions). His vice, Osinbajo spoke against restructuring, while his region the Southwest seem to value the post of VP more than restructuring which they actually support. Get enlightened, buddy. Stop being a zombie. Let us unite and rescue Nigeria from total destruction by tribalist Buhari. Join the civilized, detribalized Nigerians in #Atikulating for a better Nigeria. |

Themandator: Atiku has never told anyone that he would restructure by fiat. He said this much during the presidential nomination chat he did with Silverbird. He told the nation that it would require the national assembly to restructure butnthy can take it from him that he would personally lead the lobby across the zones of the country and the national assembly.
He is not a new convert to the idea. The same idea for Hima query from Obasanjo as a sitting vice president. It also got the northerner elders to castigate him but he explained that only the lazy ones are against it.
The national cannot embark on restructuring without the support of the executive and Buhari had said that those advocates of it are bad losers . His deputy also goes the same line by saying good governance and not restructuring is what Nigerians want. There is nothing Rigi about restructuring if the president is determined ... If Obasanjo could get the national assembly and Nigerian state houses of assembly to amend the constitution to accommodate his third term agenda that was ,against the entire interest of the nation, how much more something that no legislator from the entire south and north central dare to against On point. |

Dannyset: Abi ooo! These people have failed to see the true picture. How many of the Legislators they have seen talking about or backing that call? Many forces are against it yet they think the said and do has come. Am sure he will be telling the northern elites too that he is just deceiving them because presently no Northerner is bold enough to call for restructuring.
We are telling them the truth they are beating their chest. In the case of you Buhari supporters, your man the tribalist Buhari is personally against restructuring. How do you expect the legislators to pass restructuring bill? A lot of the good bills they passed, eg Petroleum Industry Bill is still awaiting assent by your lifeless President. Atiku has been speaking out in favor of restructuring. This is a different ball game. |

positivethought: look Atiku himself has on several occasions admitted that the president can not complerely restructure the country alone but certainly there are some aspect of it that the president can through executive orders do while working closely with the NASS to do the rest, truth is Buhari a hard core conservative n fanatical northern bigot does not support or agree to the idea of restructuring for the simple fear of losing political dominance but Atiku who is urbane n pro nationalistic in approach understand that true unity n inclusiveness will serve the whole country better is very willing to give it his very best, you people should start coming up with better ways of countering the Atikulation tsunami, propaganda deciet n lies can not help buhari/Apc this time.I hope buhari has got his certificate ready because after INEC publishes the candidate credentials n buhari is found wanting,he will surely face legal actions no amount if threats will stop it. fk001: Even if Buhari approve the restructuring of this country some bitter soul from the east will not vote for him.
They hate Buhari for no reason Buhari should not bother about them, after all their vote is inconsequential to him. Why should people vote a tribalist for President of multi ethnic Nigeria? How come there is no Igbo represented in the top echelon of the security services? Have you not observed the pattern of the security services aiding the Fulani militias in their targeted attacks all over the country? Have you not observed the nepotism of Buhari regime? How come the militant faction of the Miyetti Allah and the Fulani Nationality Movement, that both threatened to violently take over the country, which they claim belongs to the Fulani, have not been arrested? I guess you don't care about these concerns. But I do. And reasonable humans should. No decent Nigerian should vote tribalist Buhari. |

Dannyset: It is a big joke to see an Elder statesman would fall for this social media gimmicks of Atiku restructuring Nigeria. While am not against his advice, I still think he should know that it is not the sole responsibility of the President to do that.
To begin with, the National assembly as at today, whether we like it or not is indirectly controlled by Saraki and Dogara even before they defected to the PDP. And these two from the on set have been against this government policies. So, those clamouring for restructuring should have taken the advantage and start through them(National assembly). Saraki himself even made mockery of Atiku openly, saying those promising restructuring should not be trusted as they can't do it without the legislative arm of government.
Another point is, Buhari cannot be bullied to do what is not his agenda simply because one failed party is fielding a candidate that is taunting some people with what is constitutionally rigid to achieve.
My own view is, if you want restructuring, lobby your Senates and Reps. Let them fly bills that are pro-restructuring, then you will really know those who are truly against it. You are just ranting. Atiku truly believes in restructuring and would send bill to that effect to the national assembly. His election will mark the first time we have a President that actually wants to restructure. The National Assembly just needs the initiative to come from the Presidency and they will do the needful. Also, Atiku picked a running mate from a region that passionately believes in restructuring. |
