Pls I need u to answer just one question, how did yoruba betray u or ur ancestors?

For the first time a south-south man became President of Nigeria, youruba led by thinubu fought tooth and nail to remove him thereby betraying the south-south and replace him with a fulani!

Now that Fulani romance is not favouring the yorubas they are now shouting self determination!!

They are giving you crumbs and you think you're first class citizens. Abeg, park well!

That is where you're muddling it up, dude. Speaking about an agreement to dissolve presupposes that there was an initial agreement to be together. Let it be known to you that the peoples that constitute this immoral contraption never at anytime agree to form a single unit country. It was the brainchild of Imperial exploitation by the British. And when there was a call for complete exclusion of Britain from running the affairs of what they tinkered up, otherwise known as independence, initially conceived and spearheaded by brilliant minds from the South only and later supported by the North albeit reluctantly, 3 politically independent regions where birthed with gargantuan exclusive responsibilities while the federal government was only saddled with minimal responsibilities part of which was defense. All this occurred under the supervision of Great Britain.

This was the only arrangement. There were no 6 zones.
All being said, the white man that invented the pencil also made the eraser. God didn't come down to establish Nigeria. When the old Soviet Union was balkanized, nobody referred to any old agreement nor needed the permission of other constituents to leave.

Self determination of a people is both a legal and moral right and no obnoxious 1999 constitution can stop it. Thank you.

Well there will be no further need to linger on dis discuss for it would appear dat we are on the same page I also want this scam of a Country to break up let's have decorum and peace from the ruin dis Union dishes out on a daily basis

Firstly, Yoruba nation has nothing to do with Tinubu being on the opposition during Jonathan government . Secondly, Tinubu has never led Yoruba nation. Thirdly, the Yorubas fought for Jonathan to become President, no IBO fought the battle.

The negotiations that led to Amnesty for Niger Delta militants was led by Prof Wole Soyinka under Yaradua. Tunde Bakare led the mass action that made Jonathan the Acting President, Obasanjo singlehandedly fought the political theatre battle that made Jonathan the President.

Yorubas did not benefit from the highest oil boom in world history and the highest revenue in the history of Africa and the greatest looting under Jonathan.

Yet an IBO gave the bitterness of IBOS against Isaac Adaka Boro and Ken Saro Wiwa the Ijaw heros and the Ijaws as stated below. In the IBO attack against Ijaw he mentioned Yorubas as responsible for the death of Isaac Adaka Boro - what a bitterness. Pius Anyim and his people controlled Jonathan's government after the Yorubas fought to make him the President.
They celebrated 100 years of amalgamation of Northern and Southern Nigeria for one year.
They said the best thing that ever happened to Nigeria is unity.

The truth, if Jonathan had ruled till 2019, the South would have still come back to exploitation and oppression. The looting under Jonathan can never pay back the continual exploitation and oppression of the South.

Below is an online battle between an IBO man against an IJAW man.

eagleu:

Nobody ever succeeds with a false history. Your kind Ijaw people are destined to perish with your false narratives!
Adaka Boro was a corrupt and misguided youngster who thought he knew more than his elders, until his so called friends cut him quickly! So did Saro Wiwa, though that one was allowed to enjoy his own false narratives of love a little longer.
Remain lazy, and refuse to do a proper historical search of true events, because laziness is part of your DNA.
Igbos have been paying the ultimate price for Nigeria since 1940s, no big deal, but don't ever come back here to complain about how this government is doing your God forsaken people wrong, because short sighted folks like you ain't seen nothing yet

Pathetically irresponsible and false history. Boro was educated and nurtured by Igbos who had no animosity based on tribe or religion, they even elected him SUG president at UNN. He tried his hands on teaching, customs, and police work, but like a messianic teenager, he rebelled not against Igbos, but against his own local chief, administrators, and officers. Fortunately, or unfortunately for him, his noise attracted the attention of those in the west who have been looking for openings into eastern Nigerian affairs. They promised him heaven and earth, and eventually Yoruba army officers killed him like the dog he was!!!
Saro Wiwa, like Boro understood the tragedy of his sabotage of his own people all in the name of fighting Igbos, but it was too late. He even begged Ojukwu for help as his "friends" were leading him to the gallows. Boro could have been alive a little longer to mature and grow some sense, but his own "friends" could not wait!!!!!!
When you reconstruct Adaka Boro's history try a little research, and stop sounding lazy and foolish. Prominent Ijaw chiefs were the first to propose Biafra, the first to support Ojukwu, because all over the north Ijaws, Efiks, Ibibios were equally massacred as Igbos. Next you will shout our oyel! And I would say, shut up your dirty mouth, because the people who own your own oil gives you less than 13%, and it's still not helping you at all.
Your landlock fantasy is a mirage, because Okirika continues to lie as ruins in PH as all your shameless efforts to steal abandoned properties of your Igbo masters. Most importantly, after Diette Spiff, and other lazy Ijaw leaders who were rewarded by Gowon, Rivers State will never be ruled by Ijaw people again. As long as we have democracy, Igbos will continue to rule your miserable selves. Go back to Yenagoa, build it, develop it, and be reasonable for once.
Yorubas made Boro feel special, then they struck him from behind as he was "gallantly" inspecting his conquest of Biafran troops!!!.
Gowon paid, encourage, and promoted an untrained Adaka Boro to major to the envy of long serving Yoruba soldiers, and like all fooolissssh men, he got carried away.
Instead of kids like you to learn from his error, someone has been busy making up history such as " all families contributed troops to Boro" Boro was a fugitive, even to his own people at that time. Find out how many Ijaw chiefs were against Boro----- homework for your lazy self!

History
Main articles: History of Lagos and Timeline of Lagos

Lagos was originally inhabited by the Awori subgroup of the Yoruba people in the 15th century.[23][37][38][5] Under the leadership of the Oloye Olofin, the Awori moved to an island now called Iddo and then to the larger Lagos Island.[39][40] In the 16th century, the Awori settlement was conquered by the Benin Empire and the island became a Benin war-camp called "Eko" under Oba Orhogbua, the Oba of Benin at the time.[41][42] Eko is still the native name for Lagos.

Lagos (Portuguese for "lakes"wink was a name given to the settlement by the Portuguese. Throughout history, it was home to a number of warring ethnic groups who had settled in the area. Following its early settlement by the Awori nobility, and its conquest by the Bini warlords of Benin, the state first came to the attention of the Portuguese in the 15th century.[43]

Portuguese explorer Rui de Sequeira visited the area in 1472, naming the area around the city Lago de Curamo, which means Lake of Curamo. Another explanation is that Lagos is named after a major port in Portugal—a maritime town that, at the time, was the main centre of Portuguese expeditions down the African coast.

In Britain's early 19th century fight against the transatlantic slave trade, its West Africa Squadron or Preventative Squadron as it was also known, continued to pursue Portuguese, American, French and Cuban slave ships and to impose anti-slavery treaties with West African coastal chiefs with so much doggedness that they created a strong presence along the West African coast from Sierra Leone all the way to the Niger Delta (today's Nigeria) and as far south as Congo.[44] In 1849, Britain appointed John Beecroft Consul of the Bights of Benin and Biafra, a position he held (along with his governorship of Fernando Po) until his death in 1854.[45] John Duncan was appointed Vice Consul and was located at Wydah.[46] At the time of Beecroft's appointment, the Kingdom of Lagos (under Oba Kosoko) was in the western part of the Consulate of the Bights of Benin and Biafra and was a key slave trading port.[47] In 1851 and with pressure from liberated slaves who now wielded political and business influence, Britain intervened in Lagos in what is now known as the Bombardment of Lagos or Capture of Lagos[47][48] resulting in the installation of Oba Akitoye and the ouster of Oba Kosoko. Oba Akitoye then signed the Treaty between Great Britain and Lagos abolishing slavery. The signing of the 1852 treaty ushered in the Consular Period in Lagos' history wherein Britain provided military protection for Lagos.[49][50]

Following threats from Kosoko and the French who were positioned at Wydah, a decision was made by Lord Palmerston (British Prime Minister) who noted in 1861, "the expediency of losing no time in assuming the formal Protectorate of Lagos".[51] William McCoskry, the Acting Consul in Lagos with Commander Bedingfield convened a meeting with Oba Dosunmu on 30 July 1861 aboard HMS Prometheus where Britain's intent was explained and a response to the terms were required by August 1861. Dosunmu resisted the terms of the treaty but under the threat to unleash violence on Lagos by Commander Bedingfield, Dosunmu relented and signed the Lagos Treaty of Cession on 6 August 1861.[48][52][53]
Map of Lagos' initial city boundaries, showing its contemporary districts. This definition is rarely used in the present day; the expanded metropolitan area is now a more accepted definition of Lagos.

Lagos was declared a colony on 5 March 1862. The remainder of modern-day Nigeria was seized in 1887, and when the Colony and Protectorate of Nigeria was established in 1914, Lagos became its capital, continuing as such after the country's independence from Britain in 1960. Along with migrants from all over Nigeria and other West African nations were the returnee ex-slaves known as Creoles, who came from Freetown, Sierra Leone, Brazil and the West Indies to Lagos. The Creoles contributed to Lagos' modernisation and their knowledge of Portuguese architecture can still be seen from the architecture on Lagos Island. Since the 19th century, Lagos gradually transformed to a melting pot of Africans and Europeans.[54][55][5][56] Railway links and telephone cables connecting Lagos to London had been established by 1886.[57][58][59] Electric street lighting was introduced in the city in 1898.[41][60] Lagos experienced rapid growth throughout the 1960s and 1970s as a result of Nigeria's economic boom.[61]

Before the creation of Lagos State on 27 May 1967, Lagos, which was the country's capital had been administered directly by the Federal Government as a Federal Territory through the Federal Ministry of Lagos Affairs, while the Lagos City Council (LCC) governed the city.[27] Lagos, along with the towns from the then Western region (Ikeja, Agege, Mushin, Ikorodu, Epe and Badagry), were eventually captured to create Lagos State.[27] Lagos city was split into the present day seven Local Government Areas (LGAs), while the other towns now make up 13 LGAs in the state. Lagos played the dual role of being the State and Federal Capital until 1976 when the state capital was moved to Ikeja. Lagos was adversely affected during Nigeria's military rule.[62] Also, on 12 December 1991, the seat of the Federal Government was also formally relocated to Abuja. However, Lagos remains the financial centre of the country, and also grew to become the most populous conurbation in the country.[27]

Why wasting your time on foolishness and illusion. Anybody can post jargon and nonsense on Wikipedia and other online media. Overnight, history can be conjured and co-joined and placed in Wikipedia and other online media without verification and ratification.

Oba Akiolu caused the major problem here. Under Late Oba Oyekan, all these co - joined and manipulated histories have no place.

So, the Benin fought war with Aworis for Ado to become the first ELEKO? You people are very funny. Even, in the Wikipedia, while there are references to the Olofin who migrated from Ife to Lagos, no reference to Benin conquest of the Aworis. Those books written in 2009 (Yaradua era) after Oba Akiolu ascended to The throne are junks. The history of Kosoko, Dosunmu and Akitoye further exposed your illusion. When was Calabar the capital of Nigeria? I think tomorrow, somebody will go and edit The co - joined fabricated history to include Calabar as the first Capital of Nigeria. I caught them.

Prince Sultan Adeniji - Adele (Snr) can give the fake 2008 / 2009 historians the true and detailed history of Kosoko, Dosunmu and Akitoye rather than the junks in Wikipedia.

Èkó is a Yoruba name. The Palace of Oba of Lagos Iga Iduganran was a pepper farm of the Ijebus. Iganran was Ijebu pepper. The IDEJOs are the owners of Lagos. They are Aworis. Aworis migrated from Ife to Lagos.

From the structure and hierarchy of Lagos state do you see any other tribe or cultural heritage competing with Yoruba hierarchy in Lagos State? Or do you see any Igbo person as High chief in Lagos State?
Lagos State has a cultural heritage and Yoruba people are Lagos State....Lagos state is for Yoruba people.

Prince Sultan Adeniji - Adele can give the fake 2008 / 2009 historians the true and detailed history of Kosoko, Dosunmu and Akitoye rather than the junks in Wikipedia.

Oba Ado the first king of Lagos was an Awori from Isheri because the Oba of Benin recognised the Awori could never accept a Stranger as King.

It was Oba Ado’s Mother that was a Benin Princess or have you ever seen Oba of Benin dragging Lagos?

Lagos can not be the capital of Oduduwa Republic, unless they can pay back the billions of Dollas that have been invested from the resources of other parts of Nigeria.

Ogun state and Ondo state have access to the sea so Oduduwa Republic can make any of the two states their capital and develop it like Lagos with their resources from cocoa.

What about the Trillions Nigeria had made from our Lagos port. Are you paying them back.

Ikeja, Lagos which Awolowo built out of a jungle where Elephants were still being sighted regularly was Capital of the Western Region

More than 90 % of Today’s Lagos was developed by Awolowo’ as Part of the Western Region

Lagos Island is Undisputed Yoruba Aworiland

Enough of Fulani madness under guise of One Nigeria.. we're self sufficient and we have everything.

SOS to whom it may concern, I won't leave Nigeria and her problems to Odualand harbouring Igbos. Everyone must go back to their region else the whole movement is in futility.

I repeat we won't allow Igbos live in Odualand. Let them all go to biafra and do as they please there.

See this weak feather weight. There are many of you paid fulani agents here.

Did Igbo vote him when he chose Igbos as VP? No, because Igbo have foresight and hindsight. Something you will always lack, even if all your people end up in exile. All they did was dangle beef before you and you bit the bait out of hunger. Belle-Before-Life. Did I tell you that between now and 2023, it'll be hot for you for your stupidity? Just watch and see...You'll cry "They told us o"

Igbo people are always known for political failure since 1960....which foresight and hindsight do you have that is always producing failure and frustration for you? Presently, the entire Igbo race is already wailing and crying....if Nigeria continues after 2023, the best hierarchy position your tribe can cling unto are Ministers as you have it now....
Most of what your people called achievement and are beating chest about is what other tribes have achieved without making a noise but the moment a Igbo man attained a position....they will start making jest of other tribe....lineage tribe of viper and cobra...i wonder how your people want to manage your Biafraunding Republic If it is eventually given...because the level of acrimony among yourself called for a big question....you can not unanimously adopt a presidential candidate and you want to create a Republic.....disaster is imminent.....and it shall always end in tears and pains...
