@OP, this is my humble contribution to your `enjoyment of the single` topic.

1. Go & marry if you have the means & of age. I want to assume that you are up to 28 years of age & above & with whatever God has blessed you with as daily or monthly income. Do not fall into the mistake many have fallen into thinking that they are having the best life ever because they do not have any responsibility at the moment & squander whatever they make `enjoying themselves`. If you are not married now, use that `enjoyment money` to build or buy a house where you stay or intend to stay. When you eventually decide to get married it will come very helpful. Remember that you will have at least two beautiful children & will stay or rent, if you do not build your own, in a house of at least two bedrooms. When your two kids eventually starts school, I know that you will not pay anything less than N800K to N1.5M per school year for both (Nursery & primary level oo). If you do not build a house now, add that fees to the rent of about N1.5M to N2M for the two or three bedroom house you will stay.

2. Secondly, if those very expensive phones are not for SERIOUS SERIOUS business, buy instead a `small cheap` phone for calls & social media things because MANY buy these BIG phones only for social status & are only used for calls & social media.

3. Do not forget that even if you are not married now, you will some day. Do not squander your money `enjoying the beautiful freedom of the single`.

4. Hehe...read it again until it makes sense to you. EXPERIENCE COME BY PERSONAL INVOLVMENT OR BY LEARNING FROM OTHER PEOPLE. Luckily God is there to teach us wisdom

So many benefits of being single but don't get carried away with the benefits and stay beyond the single Life after allowing good and great girls slip off your fingers due to your carelessness. Remember, you can't stay single for Life.

There are still good girls out there. Just have the belief you Will meet One and don't mistake the quality of a good girl to a bad girl when you meet the good girl so that you don't miss or loss the good girl.

There are "good" girls out there (whatever good means). Only few guys will be extremely lucky to have them. It's tears for the rest of men who will be married to these useless leftovers.

Being single has its own downsides but most men who don't get married are not missing a thing, not getting married, except tons of problems.

Around last year my girl broke up with me

We had a very serious relationship but she say she dey go

While dating I had no reasonable job and no apartment for my self

We meet at friends place to knack

After she left , I had to sit down and restructure my life

Now I have a manageable job

I have a standard apartment with all necessary gadgets

I have a running business and I'm living a very good life

Makes me really think this relationship thing can change ur thinking and the direction ur life goes

OP I get your points but I think this is relative to the age, status and maturity of the individual in question. I used to think like this but time and the experiences of others have thought me otherwise.

Now I see several people here saying they like being single so they can avoid several responsibilities. So who takes care of your own responsibilities? You or someone else? If you are young, remember your guardians/parents would not live forever. If you are independent, remember you could die and leave everything you have worked for behind with nothing left to show you were even born. If you like build a 12 bedroom mansion and buy several rolls royce. Without a spouse or kids, your siblings would be the ones to inherit your property when you die and leave them to their own spouses and their children to inherit what you worked for.

When you get old who would take care of you? Your siblings would be old too and need taking care of. What's more? their spouse and children would likely be there for them, supporting them financially, emotionally and physically. You would have nobody to fend for you then, you would be full of regret.

There's no joy in the carefree nature of single life that equates to the joy of companionship, knowing you have people who love only you including those you brought to the world and who would carry your name beyond the grave.

Be wise.
