Op, u can also use snippers with kerosene on the bed. Expecially the furniture.

I used to have this issue, hiding inside microwave and plate racks. I bought Green leaf cockroach powder and sprinkled weekly for 4weeks. I sprinkle, clean the house after a week and sprinkle again. This was January and I haven't seen cockroach since then.

I intend sprinkling my house again because it's been a while.

NB: Though, I still spray my house with insecticide every 2weeks. I bought the cockroach powder in Lagos for #50/sachet.

It affected my aunt sometimes in 2019..she was not even aware as most times she will be seeing little drops of blood on her floor tiles each morning and think witches were sucking her n her kids who loves sleeping on the cold floor when there is no electricity until one day she found out it was bed-bug!

This is how she overcome them; she quickly started talking the chairs and mattress outside the hot Sun....the heat drive them out n she will be there killing anyone trying to run off. Then inside the house, she mixed comfor, and salt, then sprinkle on the edge of the rooms especially in btw the lines on the tiles, cracks or holes on the walls...she did this same practice for a week n bed bug all disappear!

See, bed bugs disturbed me for years until i explained my predicament to my course mate back then and he told me about a certain pesticides "NO PEST" which he used after we left hostel for our various homes after our academic session.
At first i didn't believe until i tried it, bro it worked at least for 6 months... But wear nose mask when spraying cos e dey cause catarrh..
One is sold for 500 naira, i bought and mixed with kerosene to dilute its efficacy..
But since last year june that i changed my wall from painting to wallpaper coupled with the fumigation... I haven't seen anyone since then.

Bro, as someone that successfully overcame an infestation, make I tell you my tori.
I had only heard about bedbug 25 years ago my brother and I visited a dpo in his office. I sat down comfortably the couch only to notice my bro was using eyes to signal me. He insisted on standing. When we got out of the police station he told me about "students" ie bed bugs. When we got home, he made me strip before entering the house. Lo and behold, he showed me bugs on my trousers by the belt area. Na so we burn the cloths.
Last year I got a househelp. She brought bed bug into my house from the compound boys quarters.
How did I find out? One night my last born daughter woke me up that ants were biting her. I went to her room and found bugs on her bed. Na so I enter Google confirm say na bed bugs. I checked my bed and others, omo I was shocked.
Next day I fumigated my house. Stuffed all the cloths in washing machine and dried them. Sprayed the matrass with fumigation and sunned them for 2 days.
Happy I had solved the problem. For where, 2 days later bed bugs again. I repeated this 4 times, for where?
I threw away all the mattresses, my parlor chairs, bed etc. We started fumigating every 2 days. For where?
Solution. I reserched on the internet.
Get a blow touch. The type that uses can. Also get methylated spirit. Pour the spirit in any spray can. Spirit is the deadliest thing to bed bugs. The issue is that it has to contact the bug.
Finally get machintoch. Ie those water proof bed bags. It is sold for about 3500 at matrass shops. Give to to obioma ie tailors to resow it round so there is no space between the threading.
You don't have to throw away your matrass as I did. The bugs inside will die of hunger. Even your wall sockets for electricity, briefly flash the flame inside. Flash I said oh, don't burn your wires or house.
The methylated spirit is the daily koko. Every day, at least once a day look around the edges of your bed sheet and the makintoch you wore on your mattress, you will see the bugs or and their eggs, spray with spirit.
You cloths, nko, dispose of those you don't need and wash and sun those you need. Your wooden furniture especially your sofa, sell the sofa to aboki. Keep your matrass in the floor and keep your wooden bed outside your house ( if you cannot afford to throw it away)
After 2-3 weeks you will see that gradually the amount of bugs you see around you bed will reduce untill they disappear. Continue the ritual for another 2 weeks. They will gradually die off untill you don't see them again.
I suffered this during the covid period last year and only and only got off it early this year. It cost me over 2m in furniture and remodeling my home.

From experience, truly it will be difficult but not impossible. I tried most of the advice dished out but to no avail. Finally, I left the room for a period of 3-4 months. The reason was to starve them as I researched to know that with a single suck from their host they can survive for up to 6months. Try cos it worked for me and I didn't have to burn any of my things including my mattress. Good luck

Bro firstly bring out all your furniture and bed out into the sun and spray them with sniper kip doing this every weekend wen u are at home and kip spraying corners and everywhere axis before you live for work in the morning du this within one month then u thanks me later

Mix otapiapia(sniper), grinded camphor and kerosene. Spray it on the matress and the wood around. Just know you won't enter the house for almost a week.

Those bastards dealth with us in unilag hostels. They dealth with us for a whole academic academic session and after vacating they packed with our belongings to continue dealing with us at home.
Solution: bedbugs is not an insect that you would want to eradicate using only one method, like chemicals application which is most common. You have to go into integrated control, chemicals alone can solve it. Apply cultural practice like Maintaining good environment, aside using sniper or any chemicals, spray it in all cracks and ceevices on walls, make sure your bed is not worn out, if it is den evacuate it, spray d bed frames and woods, clear your rooms and put ur cloth in a tidy condition, avoid resting your bed on d wall of ur room cos they may get into ur bed from d wall. Mind u bedbugs can stay a yr without food and spreading ur bed in d sun won't help either

Fumigate

My brother let me tell you the truth. Buy DD force, the one they sell for 1200 then use half of it miss it in a fumigating pump, spray every part of your room, chairs tables evey part you know they are try it two more times you will see a difference

Rent a new apartment with everything new including cloths. Shoes and any material they can penetrate. Burn the foam bed sheet . Don't let anyone stay with you again. And sometimes bed bugs that are Sturton and can't be cleared is a sign of witch craft in that compound or area.
Always pray before you sleep.

Hmm. Bros to show you how far I went, I bought a professional Bosch heat gun. It kills them, but the breeze from the heat gun disperses most before the heat kills them. But the flame from the blow touch kills them instantly.

Take out virtually everything you have like clothes and the mattress to sun them..Get Sniper to flit the house or fumigate if you can. Or buy another mattress but ensure you still fumigate

Bed bug is a menace they multiply so fast like Baxter and leave micro babies invisible to the eyes.

You will have sleepness nite if you don’t take care of it.

If u have mattress- replace it

If the mattress have a wooden bed frame - replace that too because they can survive on wood or blood.

Wooden furniture- replace it

Get a fumigation company to fumigate the entire house 2wice .

Also furniture too

2. Get a black soap. Ose dudu
4. Put a live bed bug inside the cowery.
5. Use the black soap to seal the bug.
6.Go and throw the cowery where you dispose waste materials.. Preferably Ori Akitan.

I used Sniper when I had an epidemic of bedbug during my service year. No joke. Couldn't find the exact one I found online so I ended up buying Sniper at the supermarket I went to.

I actually sprinkled it directly (no mixing) around the foam edges and on wall cracks and along floor tiles where they made their homes. Then I sprayed the one I mixed with water on random surfaces like curtain. Because of the potency, I did in the morning and stayed out all day. Came back that night with a Macintosh( plastic foam cover) and covered the foam. I didn't see them after that. Whether they all died or retreated to their main hideout, I can't say for sure. I left after two months though so I also can't say if they came back once the potency of the Sniper wore off.

For my clothes, I washed them all and left out under hot sun for days. Then packaged them inside my box immediately.
