@Amicableoga...You do not need any transit visa if you are going via cairo have taken it via london and USA before and i slept over in the hotel there and the airline arranged all that because is part of the ticket. Check your ticket for the hours of layover if is more than 11hrs then the airline will be responsible for your stay at no charge and to even be doubly sure go to any Egypt air ticket office they will tell you you do not need any transit visa.

Thanks so much, the layover is 4hrs before moving to Toronto.

Egyptair is cheapest now, need to book their flight .

Do VO denies visa for PGC study in Canada? Been hearing lots of stories around PGC study visa denied.

That's totally a FALSE STORY

Lot's of folks on this platform and some that I know outside this platform have gotten their visa approved by going for a PG.Cert program.

You just have to make sure there is Academic/career progression in what ever program you want to go for

- If your interests is to go for a PG.cert, you have a 2.2 or an HND with no obvious study gaps (like you graduated two to three years ago), you can go for a PG.CERT program related to your degree

- You can also go for a PG.CERT program related to your work experience but doesn't relate to your work experience

Look at this illustration,
I graduated with a degree in Microbiology (2.1) with 5 years experience as an Administrative officer.
In the above scenario, I can't go for a Microbiology related PGCert program cos of my Study Gap, that being said, I would be looking forward to apply to PG.cert programs such as Human Resources Management (HRM), Public Administration cos it aligns with my 5years work experience as an Administrative Officer.

- 2.1 graduates.
Most time, a 2.1 graduate with no study gaps is expected to go for a Masters degree program, but some applicants success stories here have mentioned that they got approval for a PG.CERT program with a 2.1. They stated that they had to convince the VO on their SOP with strong cogent reasons why they are going for a PGcert program.

By the way, there is more to Visa approval than what your question states

E.g

Ties to home country
Proof of funds and type of sponsor and lots more.

Await more input from the house on your question.

Good luck.

Please All, I need advice on travel to Canada.
A friend registered for classes Fall & Winter terms while permit application was still under processing. But dropped the fall classes in Mid September and passport request came in last week.

This is the question, can he travel to Canada now or he must wait a month before the Winter term start?

A month to Winter term is December and tickets are always expensive by then.

Thanks

He must wait a month before going or he will be denied entry. Also he can book flight tickets by now for December

Hi

Would only be able to answer your no. 1 & 2 questions. Await response to your other question.

Don't know if you can go for an MBA cos you are not a Bachelor degree holder (Even with your work experience) . Do await the response of the gurus, and other members of this platform

Based on your Civil Servant job in the Taxation department, there are lots of ACCOUNTING in TAXATION, so you might want to check for Accounting Graduate Programs. Also check Business, Economics, Financial Planning related graduate programs. If you google TAXATION and the above mentioned programs, you gonna discover they relate well with each other.

Do your research on the following PG.CERT/Post Degree programs, check the program overview, course curriculum (course outline of the program) admission intakes, tuition amount for international students etc. then apply for the one that suites you based on your academic background and work experience

Things I did that may have been different , not sure if it had any impact .

I submitted app august 4, immediately requested for gcms note even tho I knew them no touch my app. I knew it would take time to come either ways.

When I read from one of us saying she sends mail weekly to Nairobi. I had to put on my writing skills.
At first I didn’t know where my file was so I sent an emotional email to all ircc office in the world (lol).
Cairo replied that they checked their database and my file is with Nairobi . Then I limited my email to Nairobi.

I send four emails daily to Nairobi ,they don’t kuku reply aside automated response and I didn’t care, I continued.

At first my husband’s Medicals updated to pass august 31, then my sons Medicals updated to pass September 11.

Still I woke up every morning to send email as if It was my breakfast. September 15, bvl dropped for my husband, na so I sidon Dey refresh my app but nothing dropped after.

Omg village people don get me o, I lamented. Next thing, I emailed my mp with a strong emotional mail and she replied that my passport letter is being processed . I was so happy yet I didn’t stop sending emails on a daily .

I also requested for written authorization for my family.
I only applied just to speed things up in my own knowledge (lol).

20th of September , woke up by 9:30am to send my usual email but this time made it five because I mean they owe me a decision now.

When I was done, casually decided to refresh my app as I don already login n boom profile updated n it was PPR for hubby , I went to baby’s app and same PPR . My omg was omored.

I forgot to add that I prayed like my life depended on ircc especially midnight prayers, I even gave God a deadline of early September and surprisingly it worked grin
Thanks to my nairaland family, I learnt so much on this journey and I won’t trade the friends I made from here for anything.

I wish everyone God’s speed on their application.

It will end in praise for everyone still holding on .

what did u find in ur GCMS note.I feel like I want to request 4 it.applied in August though.i wanted to wait till NOV but u are inspiring me to apply since I know I will get it by November if I apply now.
Also if u dont mind ,how did u apply 4 yrs and how much did u pay in naira? thanks
