Congratulations to everyone with PPR. Just like I was told by those already in Canada when I got mine... Lemme quickly say it to you all as well. This country is boring o. Especially if you are coming to St. John's, Newfoundland. grin

I know most people won't believe me. That's fine. All the best.

There is nothing like anywhere is boring, it depends on your personality and how you're able to mix with people. I remember when i was coming to Abuja almost 10 years ago, people were saying haaa it is boring, you wey be Lagos boy, you no go like am, its not fun blah blah. Guess what? In 6 months when i 1st arived, i had so much fun that i concluded that i wont return to Lagos again and that was it.

As long as you can relate and mingle with people, you will never be bored!!!

Wow! This is good news, thank you for the update

Madeincanada:
If you traveled to another country as a result of the travel ban, you don’t have to stay there for 14 days to travel to Canada. You only need to present a Molecular test result from a third country. I travelled through Gambia, did a PCR test next day, received my test result next day and left for Canada same day. I was allowed entry into Canada today although I was told by the immigration officer that I will be quarantined in the facility provided by the government(Sheraton hotel) for 2-3 days during which a molecular test will be carried out. All expenses paid by the government.

On a lighter note grin

I think this is good news, there is pressure from WHO & IATA on them to lift the travel suspension as it is getting clearer daily that Omicron is even milder than Delta variant. There have been 2 different updates in the last 48 hours from IRCC Canada, so we should expect more updates in the next coming days and hope Omicron is not found in another Nigerian again, everything is looking positive so far. #ThereIsHope

Hello, welcome to Canada.
Please explain this again cause it is not the interpretation of all the updates we have been getting from them on this ban. What status of visa did you with? Were you in Canada before now or you travelled for the first time?
Also did you go from Nigeria to Gambia before proceeding to Canada?

Hi Kate,

The notes are quite detailed so you now know were to tackle, so what course are proposing to go and study? From the note it is different from your experience and what you have been doing in the intervening years.

How much did your bro show is his statement, did he state how much he will be contributing to your pursuit? Does he have dependents that rely on him as well.

You need to work on the course you are going to study
Marry it with your experience
Show that your bro has funds available to take care on himself and his dependents

Wait for the house to chip too

Hi everyone

I want to share what is going on with my admission
My school made mistakes on my transcript
So I uploaded without noticing
The school reached out saying they noticed the year on my 400L is 2017/2018 instead of 2019/2020, So they wanted me to upload a new one. So I used that opportunity to go through the transcript.
I saw they inputed the wrong grades too
But the school no fit know that one
So I told crescent to correct the year for 400L and also correct the grades. I sha uploaded a new one
Now the school reached out saying they noticed some discrepancies such as change of grades by comparing my old transcript with the new one i uploaded.
They sent a mail saying they need my official transcript sent to them by my school.
They have sha sent it

N.B: I finished with a CGPA of 4.44 in Economics and I’m applying to Concordia university for M.A economics.

Do you guys think I still have a chance with this whole transcript issue

Firstly redact the sensitive information on your GCMS notes, this is a faceless platform.

This information is false.

Please if you're an international student coming from Nigeria, please stay in countries you go to first for minimum of 2 weeks before heading to Canada. It is explicitly stated by IRCC that only people that have not lived in one of banned countries for that last 14 days would be allowed in.

sparkletoy:

I want to encourage those still stuck in Nigeria
I am a PR holder in Canada and I equally know a student who just arrived
You don't have to spend days in Ghana
Leave Naija for Ghana or wherever you choose
Do your PCR test
Wait for the result to be out and negative
Book your flight to Canada and be confident
Quarantine on government purse is still free
I am sure they will soon review their Quarantine policy like they did in the past where you will need to pay almost 2k cad which is non-refundable.
CSBA can't send you back because you have right of entry which is your study visa
When filling arrivecan, your departure airport would be Ghana depending on your departure country, but you will be asked if you have visited any one the red list country, say yes and put Nigeria
Be truthful, you may be scrutinized on your study plans by immigration. For instance , you can be asked to login to your school account to proof you have made payment.
India students also explored this 3rd country option without the 14 days clause. Check youtube for videos on indirect route from India to Canada
Fear has no place in our lives
Take action now.
It will end in praise.

Ok sir

sparkletoy:
No one is forcing anyone to leave immediately. It's your choice if you decide to stay in a 3rd country for 2 weeks and how do you know the information is false since you don't know anyone who has arrived? IRCC has always said. Even when there was a total lockdown, foreign nationals still came to Canada. My post was not to mislead anyone but to encourage. More testimonials of students arriving would still emerge then you will blame yourself for staying in a 3rd country for 14 days after spending all your POF. Be smart and be wise.
