Hi Lianna,

Thanks for your time.

I am just seeking people who had used their spouses and children as home ties, but later applied for them to join in Canada.

How does one do this successfully? How can one package the application well?

I thought this practice is common? Or am I the only one who did this?

Lianna2020:
This application was not well packaged and home ties wasn’t addressed well.

I’m wondering the content of the letter of explanation.

People keep asking the above forgetting that nobody here is an admission officer and nobody here can say YES or NO.

Provide the relevant admission requirements and ensure you have a work experience in the desired course.

Thats the best i can advise you.

Hi to every one,pls
I wanted to find a way to better my life by running abroad (cannada).
But I don't just know how to,
So I saw this agent and he gave me some list of expenses,.
Please gurus how true is this

First stage

Admission processing and documentation 300k

Second stage

Visa processing

Visa fee is 119k depending on dollar rate
Police character 7k
Handling fee 50k
Statements of accts 100k

Service charges after visa issue is 150k

JESUS!!!

Please... RUN for your LIFE..

You can get all info you need for admission and visa here therefore i see no reason why you are being charged 300k for documents that are not that hard to find. To apply for admission is easy bro..

WTF is handling fee pls..

The agent is indirectly charging you extra service fees as per the bolded

Please do not ask an agent to organize a bank statement for you otherwise YOU WILL BE BANNED FOR 5YEARS.

Your result is competitive for any school in Canada. Considering your desired program will likely be a research masters, below rules will help you.

1. No supervisor, no application. You don't determine your schools before hand. Wherever you get supervisors are your preferred schools.

2. Apply to 3-5 schools where you get supervisors. No supervisor or school can guarantee your admission. You will increase your chances by applying to more than one schools.

3. Check each department website and target supervisors in schools that offer funding. Your GPA will likely get you a full funding if you do things right. A full scholarship will save you a lot of stress when applying for a student visa.

I have to tell you though that the admission process require some time, experience and luck. You came a bit late because September 2022 deadline are almost here. Most first timers are usually not sure if they really want Canada nor put in the effort required. All the best.

Good evening everyone.
Please I really need your help.
My flight is meant to land in Toronto but there is a layover in Montreal.
Due to all the Covid and quarantine requirements will I be allowed to move to my final destination and quarantine there? Or will my journey end at Montreal?
Please help me. I am so frustrated and tired of canceling flights.

Hello Raymondrain

1. In as much as the closing balance is important, the transaction history i.e inflow and outflow of a statement of account is also very important... The Visa Officer also looks out for the inflow and outflow of an Account... Even though I have seen on this thread(part 16) of a self-applicant getting a Visa with a closing balance of 500k (after paying his full school fees)such cases are very rare... So this is my advice as regards this, If you are resuming next year Fall i.e September of next year, let your mum build her account for a few more months before you apply, since she gets money regularly into her account...

2. 1st year payment of fees is what is expected and you must show you have funds for your living expenses and Missileneous for a year...

3. You must submit her Statement of account and the relevant documents since she is your Co-sponsor..

Peace

Hello Gurus,
Please I have a question I would like to ask.
I'm a self sponsored applicant , I'm applying very soon for my study permit , my mom is my co sponsor .
1. She's a businesswoman , she has a good inflow and outflow funds in her account but not very good closing balance due to the fact she utilize her funds for her building projects( she's a real estate developer and also a lessor ) can I use her SOA like that even though she's a co sponsor.
2. I'm going for a 2 years PGD and I have all the funds covered for the first year but not for the second year ( I've got a steady income monthly in my SOA ). I paid for the first year already and I got like 6.5m left in my account. Is it enough or I need more for the first year ?
3. Can I apply for the SP without her(Mother) SOA. since she has like 1m closing balance but with great inflow and outflow .I have enough documents to backup her source , proof and availability of funds , I'm just worried about her closing balance .

Please I hold someone can help me answer some of my concern .

Actually I’ve submitted an application for M.A Economics in Concordia university since October but I’ve not gotten a response yet
But it’s because of the issue with my transcript
My school made some mistakes on my transcript then they reached out to me saying they noticed some discrepancies and I should tell crescent university to send my official transcript before they assess my application and they’ve sent that since December 1, But no response from them yet

So I’m scared they’ll not accept me

But now I’ll apply to other schools including university of Manitoba

Hello Everyone,

After waiting since August GCMS note is finally out.

Kindly assist with your interpretation, I was refused based on 'Personal assets and financial status" by our popular VO AH0389

Are you self-sponsored? If not, what's the existing relationship between you and your sponsor? What document validates your relationship with him/her? What's the length of your program? What percentage of your sponsor's balance is required for your CoS?

Your GCMS note is quite straightforward. I see no reason why you shouldn't be approved after reexamining your application using the above questions as guide.

School is 35,000CAD, 2-year program.
my dad was my sponsor.
Yes, he does.

Okay, thank you.

Gift212:
How much was your school fees plus living expenses? one or 2 year course? Also, who's your sponsor to you? Does he/she have other dependants? Maybe the VO factored how much of the sponsor's earnings and other responsibilities compared to the amount needed for study and thought it modest.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by MJ1000: 9:05pm On Dec 12, 2021
Hello Makano,

I am currently working on all of that.

Fees is about 35,000CAD .

The sponsor had a 25m closing balance and a fixed deposit of 20m. Landed property as well with valuation.

makano:
Hello MJ

Based on what you have shown as your finances they believe that spending the amount of money on your proposed course would not be reasonable. You will need to explain why you are spending so much on the said course, the Visa Officer may feel you have the said course also in your home country, so why not study in your home country which will be way cheaper compared to studying the course in Canada which is way too expensive...

So it's your duty to state why you are spending so much to study this course, dwell on the importance of studying this course to your career, and also the benefits the course offers in your home country after the completion of the proposed program..

Also, what were your tuition + living cost, and how much proof of finance did you declare.

Peace

Hello JustMellow,

My sponsor is my dad and he had paid my first year, as well as the acceptance fee. He is a civil servant and there was no lump sum.

JustMellow:

Hello MJ1000,

Give more information about your sponsor and the commitment made, employment situation, monthly income, and was there any lump sum deposit? This will allow people to assist with information.

From a presumed point of view, it seems you have dispersed inflows and/or sudden deposits.

Best of Luck
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by MJ1000: 9:10pm On Dec 12, 2021
Yes, I included a reference letter from my organisation, no I did not include my personal bank statement.

Thank you for your time.

JustMellow:

Did you demonstrate your employment situation and did your sponsor show any commitment from the presented funds and how much was committed. Also, did you include your POF as a mature or gainful earner?

Financial availability is not assessed based on the sitting bank balance but by the actual commitment made towards the intent. Landed properties are not POF or demonstrate financial availability, strength, or sufficiency.

Best of Luck

Hi everyone

I want to share what is going on with my admission
My school made mistakes on my transcript
So I uploaded without noticing
The school reached out saying they noticed the year on my 400L is 2017/2018 instead of 2019/2020, So they wanted me to upload a new one. So I used that opportunity to go through the transcript.
I saw they inputed the wrong grades too
But the school no fit know that one
So I told crescent to correct the year for 400L and also correct the grades. I sha uploaded a new one
Now the school reached out saying they noticed some discrepancies such as change of grades by comparing my old transcript with the new one i uploaded.
They sent a mail saying they need my official transcript sent to them by my school.
They have sha sent it

N.B: I finished with a CGPA of 4.44 in Economics and I’m applying to Concordia university for M.A economics.

Do you guys think I still have a chance with this whole transcript issue
You don't have a problem. Your official transcript will acquit you of the Graduate Office's suspicion.

Hello Lianna, hope you and yours are coping well over there.

In your own case (correct me if am wrong pls) you applied alone using your husband and child as part of your home ties right? After you travelled, you now applied for them. I guess that's what the poster did and I am preparing to do that too but when I saw her post, I became scared.

Can you throw more light on this because if we say our family was not going to accompany us and after landing, we apply for them, can that be seen as lying? Some people on living in Canada thread are saying so.
