What actually happens in most cases is that the adopted child becomes the dad's favorite - sometimes he is not even officially adopted

You have already answered the question, you were not the one that gave birth to your adopted boy. The one you gave birth to is your first son. While your adopted boy still remain your step son no matter how you twist it.

My question makes no sense? Let me ask it another way; Have you read ALL of the 3 abrahamic scripture accounts , on that particular issue? Or you are just assuming based on something you were told?

If you read my post very well, you will see I used “illegitimate” in quotation marks. I used the word because of the story above And I used the quotation marks because I know different folks have different versions/ perspectives on it.
Recall my response to you from earlier.......

Both sons came from Abraham's loin with Ishmael arriving more than 3 decades before Isaac. So the story itself does not fit in to the context of this here topic. undecided
