Semd them an email or go to your bank branch, write a letter, make sure they acknowledge your own copy. Let them know you have no idea of the the transaction as it wasnt initiated by you. If a case of fraud is initiated against you, that email you sent or your acknowledged letter will serve as part of your defence.

good heart or not, such money can get u into big trouble. It could be a case of money laundry, fraud, kidnapping or any other nefarious activity transfered to different people to make dem seem clean. The moment investigation reach ur side, the only explanation you've is if you've contacted your bank before for investigation.

I remembered one of my guy man, him receive alert of 700k from unknown person, sharpenly, as guy man for street na, him quickly go withdraw 200k use am flex; buy phone nd clothes. To cut story short, bank later froze him acct nd they tell am say if him no return the money back enh him no go fit operate any bank for Nigeria nd even outside the country bcus him info they with them..the one wey fear am pass na when bank say them go report him give criminal investigation department. Oboy, my guy fear...well, he later find 200k comeout o....Since that day i believe say notin like Miracle Alert for Nigeria again o, all alert is a death trap.

Don't touch that money pls. It's a trouble lurking around the corner. I mistakenly sent 250k to someone's account last year and I was able to use the account number to get his phone number from his bank through a friend. Called this dude to refund my money but dude insulted a hell out of my life and went ahead and withdrew the money.

I got all his account numbers that are attached to his BVN block with the help of court and bankers order. Weeks later the fool was arrested when he went to his bank to complain. He was instantly bundled to Portharcourt to face me. I got my money Wella and trust our black uniform guys, the make sure the guy accounts were emptied before his freedom ��

Please, i also have the same issue. My sister was given government school feeding program slot. She asked me to use my account, i then used my account to process it. Now, government has sent up to 154k to my account but my sister has not been participating in the program and they keep sending money. I'm afraid to touch the money. Please, what do i do?

But the legal ownership of the money stops the moment the real owner begins to look for it and traces it to your account.

It's similar to the case of an abandoned property. The occupant/user of an abandoned property can lay claim to it in the absence of the owner.
