This is the old method. The new method is to make an application to CBN online on their trade platform. They will process it.

Yes there is a "new" CBN input but it is still done at bank level.

https://www.tradesystem.gov.ng/landing/index.html

You register your BVN with CBN, upload passport, ticket and visa, the TMS sends you OTP, you take it to bank and you get FX.

The banks still handle everything. CBN just used it to sidestep banks reporting FX usage. The FX isn't paid or processed by CBN. The DMBs still do all the customer facing.

In Nov 2021, "we" traveled for company retreat to an African country and over 100 of us got FX the "old" way.

Re: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by Arigee: 9:37am On Mar 31, 2022
Please can u share these tg groups and ur contact.i need a date for Abuja F1 visa appointment against August resumption.

BizErikah:
Hi!!!
There are tg groups where members manually search for dates every 10 mins or so, it's like a roll call

You either join or pay someone to monitor and get you a closer date..

Though I didn't know of the tg prior to scheduling mine..but I paid someone to find me a closer date.

Good morning house, thanks everyone for all the insights. I got my B1/B2 renewed last week and thankfully the green card petition my brother did for me 8 years ago was approved on Tuesday and has been sent to DOS for further processing. Please who has an idea of the duration of the process at NVC? Secondly, I am planning a trip in may, what is the covid requirment? Is it still negative PCR test or vaccination? Thanks again for a prompt response

Lol you are right he’s my sis-in-laws husband’s brother but that story seemed long so I just put friend.

Anyway his wife just got a B2 based on past pregnancy complication. Apparently some people have been getting that as I mentioned in my last post to @fkj950ax

He may be lucky with appointment as I assume they have someone that helps with that cos of how fast his wife got the B2 appointment.

I thought so too. I think he has a better chance with B1 cos one could reason that it’s been 6YEARS since his rejection and the only reason he is attempting US again is cos of the conference otherwise he may never apply again. Other than why come back to apply for Holiday to the US after 6years ? I dunno sha

Thanks alot for your advice sir

Good, you get the point. Reason for "they should rethink their November plans". So there's no issue. The only person left without a visa is the husband, let him check whatever he's filling on his DS 160, he can also profile his previous visa transcript so we can see his questions and response. In all, he can prepare well and go for the interview again.

Best of luck to him

Congrats to you, but please, do u have an how did your brother went about the green card petition and how long have u traveled to the US before your brother made the petition?

My eldest brother has applied and been trying get my Mum’s own residency done but no response yet from the US Embassy/Consulate and that made him not to also reapply to renew her B1/B2 Visa via the interview waiver(IW) along with mine even though I’m yet to get an available data since I reapplied more than a month ago.

To make 2weeks that i attended the followup interview, my application status remains on "Administrative Processing" since on the 17th of March.

what do I do?

fekeoshomoshi:
As at today Friday, 25th March 2022, status still on "administrative processing" over a week I attend the followup interview.

I pray for positive outcome.

Fingers crossed.

fekeoshomoshi:
Hello Everyone,

I submitted my document for IW on the 1st of March(the exact date my eligibility for IW expire, I got date on 28th of February).

my document status shows "refused" on the 3rd of March, picked up my document from DHL on the 9th of March and was asked to come any Thursday for followup appointment. I was there last week Thursday, 17th of March, 2022. The followup interview went well, just two questions was asked and the VO said my document will be ready within 3 business working days.

I tracked my document today, status show "Administrative Processing" last updated on the 17th of March, 2022, the day I attended the followup interview.

Am worried, because I expect it should be on "Issued" and probably "ready for pickup" by now.

what could be the cause of the delay in processing my document?

Thanks for your responses.

He used the i 130 for family based petition. I did my masters degree in the US and I have been getting my visa renewed since I came back in 2006. For your mom, the petiton supposed3 to take 6 months but for the backlog and covid....but she can apply for a visiting visa while waiting for her petition to be approved. That is what I have been doing....A pendipetition does not prevent getting a visiting visa...

Having a pending petition does not affect a visiting visa but ensure you answer the ques abt it on your form.

There is a que abt it , just indicate Yes that your brother filed . That's all .

We have been doing same since my sibling filed for us .

Hi everyone

Just wondering if anyone who submitted on 17th March (IW) has received their passport? I know the SLA is 2 months but I know people have received their passports back in less than 2 weeks. Tracking info keeps saying my passport is still at the consulate.

Thanks

Dear all,
Thank you for the spirit of Ubuntu on these pages. For those who have successfully scheduled IW dates for Abuja, did you get the standard Dropbox confirmation letters or the consular appointment confirmation?

Good afternoon the gurus in the house.
Thanks for the great work and all the help.
Some of us are not so lucky with IW as we are few months away from the less than 24 months requirement.
Please, my question is, how can one get interview date? The closest as at yesterday was 2024.
I need appointment for this year to be able to attend my nieces graduation, I represent her parent. I have also missed vacation (with family) in the US due to Covid.
Is there any group to join to expedite the process? Is there a manual process like someone refers for IW telegraph group.
Grateful for helpful response.

Tbh, i'm confused too. See screenshot below. Drop-off used to be at DHL office, but it's a bit different this time.

Hi all,
Is there people here that are still expecting decisions for Fall 2022? Is it a red flag if I am still expecting decision for Fall 2022 at this time?
Man pikin is getting tired.

Guys, you don’t need to be confused . If you just patiently read through to the end of the instructions, you’d have seen drop off is at DHL.

Hi people,

My DH had his IW interview on the 17th of march but was refused on the 23rd.He received a pickup mail yesterday and has picked up his passport today.
A white paper was attached to the passport indicating he should come with a passport photograph not less than 6 months.

Please does he need to book another appointment for that?
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by bali233: 3:29pm On Mar 31, 2022
Pls I need help. I tried renewing my parent s b1/b2 visa. They already have a profile on the appointment booking. My mum is the main applicant. I was able to edit my mum s details and edit to her new passport no. But wasnt able to do that for family member (my dad). His old passport no is still there. Should I just book it like that then he carries his new passport along to get his visa? Because the appointment confirmation print out will bear his name and old passport no. Kindly advise pls

Don't book it like that o. Call the consulate and they will change it for you. Same thing happened to me, couldn't change for a family member until I called them.

for a couple who their profiles are locked together, can either of them book for date?. of they would be limited to only the principal applicant being able to make the booking for visa appointment

Congratulations, as at 1st week in March , you need to have both a negative covid test and your vaccination card with you.
I know someone that was unboarded simply because he didn't have his vaccination card with him. He had to spend a few days in Dubai , fortunately he was given a visa on arrival . Then got someone to DHL to him in Dubai .

If you don't mind sharing , what state did your bro file for you from and what year exactly?

We have a pending petition since September 2013 and as at a few days ago when we tracked , nothing new.

Looking forward to hearing from you .thank you
