Please Fellow Peugeot users, how often do I change my car timing belt (Peugeot 206)? Somebody advise that I should change it yearly regardless of whether there's any wear sign. The last time I changed it was April last year when it has almost cut... |
| Re: Peugeot: Cars With Attitude! by gambus007(m): 10:47pm On Apr 23, 2022 |
Nafizzey:If you can get OEM timing belt and roller(s) that should take you for 4years or 80,000km….even PAN this day don't really have good belts like gates and dayco. The last belt i got from PAN for EW10 was not gate or dayco and i was told to change after 50,000km.Exchange rate has made price of replacement parts very expensive…as for 206 engine(TU3 i guess)get the OEM belt from PAN or any reliable source. |

Please Car gurus here I need your input here, my Car 206 check engine light has been blinking for days now from Tuesday precisely, though I don't feel any changes from the car making me surprise what could be wrong. I call my mechanic to explain he said since the car is still moving fine, I should manage to weekend when he returns from Sallah break. I hope there's no danger in still moving with the car though i don't do long distance, just office and work? from experience Car gurus here please Gazzuzz |

Greetings everyone. My vehicle (Peugeot 406) have some AC issues. When the AC is on, only the air vents on the passenger side will be chilling while the 2 air vents on the driver's side are not. What could be the problem and how can it be resolved? I have visited several AC technicians and they seem clueless about the issue. Pls help a brother. |

God evening great minds. I recently bought a peugeot 206 from a friend. I discovered that the radiator fan is connected directly Invariably indicating that the thermostat has been tempered with. My question is can I buy a thermostat and install without having issues with the car? |
| Re: Peugeot: Cars With Attitude! by Nobody: 9:19am On Jun 12, 2022 |
nomaison:yes, you can, but d thermostat might have being removed, probably d resistor that controls fan speed in front of d car got spoiled (happens sometimes)...instead of buying & fixing it, d kazeem electricians just connect d fan directe, d worst ones even remove d thermostat while doing d connection...Pp2000 can show if d resistor has spoiled as it would log an error dat shows radiator fan slow speed isn't available & u have bypassed d fan |

Good day, Peugeot Lovers Pls I would like to know, how much for an OEM speed sensor (3pin) for a 206. I was told by a mechanic it's 8k. How true is this? |

Pls guys, my Peugeot 206 fuel consumption is killing me. My thermostat is working perfectly and I have restored my fan back to factory setting. The only thing I’ve noticed now is that when I start it in the morning the rpm needle fluctuates until the engine is warm. I’ve spent a lot trying sort out this issue but nothing yet. The mechanics are confused as well. I even bought new injectors and no improvement |
| Re: Peugeot: Cars With Attitude! by gambus007(m): 3:36am On Jul 12, 2022 |
Martinss4140:Sorry about your car issue but why did you change your injectors? did you run scan to know if it got fault code?Take you car to a good PEUGOET Mechanic or get someone who has Peugeot specific scanner and paste the fault code(s) here. |
| Re: Peugeot: Cars With Attitude! by Solomonmartins6(m): 7:44pm On Jul 14, 2022 |
gambus007:It was what my electrician told me. I still have the old injectors. I kept them. They said that the one in my engine had something like a 4 point sprayer and they changed it to one with a 1 point spray according to them. No improvement yet. I’ll find a person with a scanner in Benin here. If you by chance know anyone in Benin, I’d love suggestions. Thanks |
| Re: Peugeot: Cars With Attitude! by gambus007(m): 8:04pm On Jul 14, 2022 |
Solomonmartins6:Serious abuse on that car….You need to get that car scanned. |
| Re: Peugeot: Cars With Attitude! by Solomonmartins6(m): 1:32am On Jul 19, 2022 |
gambus007:I finally got it scanned and it was discovered that my oxygen sensor wire had been cut and then the scan also revealed an idle air control valve issue. Will go and get a new oxygen sensor as soon as possible. I’ve learned my lesson. I’ll never let Mechanics guess work on the vehicle again. I don’t know if I should fix back my old injectors but the new ones seem to be working fine. |
| Re: Peugeot: Cars With Attitude! by gambus007(m): 5:22am On Jul 19, 2022 |
Solomonmartins6:If you are sure that the current injectors are for your car, no qualms but if not, return to the previous injectors asap. |
| Re: Peugeot: Cars With Attitude! by Solomonmartins6(m): 5:28pm On Jul 20, 2022 |
gambus007:I got a new O2 sensor installed and so far, the consumption has been very low. Unlike before. I’m still observing the car tho. The places I went to in a day, ordinarily my fuel gauge would have dropped but so far it’s been okay. I’m no longer going to do guess work on my vehicle when it concerns the car. Will soon place an order for my personal scan machine. I’m grateful guys. This platform has been more than helpful |

Since I restored my thermostat and cooling fan back to factory setting. My fan kicks in about 97c and goes off at about 92c. And after a long drive, when I restart my car, the temperature gauge goes to about 100 and the fan comes on till it drops to about 92c. Is this normal? |
