But i made sure i spend a minimum of 500k on their house yearly, this is enough for me to rent a decent mini flat in lagos, one year i fenced the compound , another year i put a roller gate, another year I floored the compound. Living with my parent helped me reduced being too promiscuous at that time because they monitor every female that comes to visit and that helped my life to a great extent. No friend or girl would label me as being broke because it was evident that i could afford my own apartment but i chose to stay for my own personal reasons.

Stop the cap and face life reality. its not living with or outside your parent's house that determines your success in life. Keep doing something.

this deserves an accolade! It's not about living in ur parents house that matters abi if you move to another place, will money start coming to that house? Use sense before them use am for you undecided

Bro. You actually have not failed. Just that this part of the world children tends to run away from home all in the name of I'm now a big boy/girl. Mean while parents still need us around. even if you have a good job. There's nothing bad in living with your parents till when you are ready for marriage . we see people abroad do this and there's nothing bad in it. Plus maybe your mate look down at you because you always Cary your babe to their house to straff. Accommodation is pretty expensive in Nigeria. Except if you want to get a shared apartment in a flat. That's what most people do now. And I wouldn't advice you rent a face me n slap you apartment.

I have read a lot here.I want to state here that life has stages,when it's time for a child to walk and he's not doing it,then there's a problem.If at 30 you're still living with your parents,then there's something wrong somewhere,either from you or your upbringing,a whole lot of water has passed under the bridge.I can see that you are the relaxed,sedentary,choosy,unadventurous,unambitious and myopic type of person.What i mean here is that,you're not desperate to live a good life,you're too relaxed about the issues of life until they stare at you on the face.You're the type that waits for the rain to start falling down before taking a cover,if not you should have taken to any kind of job to actualize your dream,you can start with a cheap one room apartment and become responible,from there you will climb the ladder.Do not squat with friends if you have any,they could distract you from your dream.Throw pride away and work,work,work,there's dignity in labour,it's the end that matter.

Lastly, try to check web developer jobs on LinkedIn, you will see one job posting with over 600 applications, wake up youths and take back your country
