This place that I'm seeing is not that bad.
It looks decent. I don't believe this is her reason to quit the job.
I read somewhere in her post where she wrote that she walks in the sun to bring lunch to her boss which wasn't in the job contract. I think that's it.
Well, there are two sides to a story. Let's hear from her former employer.
the girl is too arrogant abeg.

Both parties aren't doing each other a favor however, employment contracts should be honored.

And how did you know the employment contracts based on listening to only the side of the lady's story??

Did you read the employment contracts for you to be able to know the terms and conditions that was given to her??

There are three sides to the story..

Her own side

The company side..

And the truth..

Every time you type, I just cant help but ask myself if you even went to school, talk more of having all those degrees you once bragged about here.
The company stated they were offering an accommodation, did they state that they were offering a luxurious accommodation??
It isn't their fault that the employee had high expectations of a paradise in her head!
I mean, what does it take to clean up the place to reasonable standard, especially when its most likely the outgoing staff that even messed it up? Its not like she's doing any renovations or anything and it says a lot that the place even still looks decent after her obvious concerted efforts to make it look bad...
and yes, when a company in Nigeria offers you free accommodation, they're doing you a favor.

stop supporting thrash all in the name of forming woke.
you're embarrassing your last name.

The room is actually in bad taste- no space at all plus sharing toilet and all. That said, a more desperate job seeker will manage it. Also, she should have "put yam on fire while using sense to look for knife"undecided

I hope they pay her for the one month she endured in that "accommodation"

Eyes and minds focused on problems.

I'm 1000% certain that if handed same apartment, I'll get hypo and jik, have the toilet washed and throughly revamped.

I'd get floor cleaning fluid and clean the floors. When dried, I'll get a rug.

I'll fix the bunk, and get a foam. And focus on my job

They say 90% of graduates are unemployeable because they can't think and make decisions. This is a classic example. And you're one yourself. Let her go home and go and continue to sleep. Serious candidates will take the offer

That accommodation I am seeing so is a luxury compire to the one I stayed in for 18 months in a remote village close to Cameroon in Akampka LG

95% of Men that find themselves in that position would have adjusted and manage the situation pending when something better comes up...

Remembered when I gut a job as an excavator operator what they promised me was not what I saw when I resumed. Especially the accommodation.

Spent 18 months in a remote village with a shiity accommodation clearing forest for a multinational company who didn't give a fucck about my wellbeing but I did my job anyway. 18 months later I was more experience, more hardened and more financially buoyant than those that left because of the working conditions then. Today I have a small company I manage for myself 70% of the capital used in opening that came from that job.

Some of my colleagues then are still carrying files up and down looking for a job with acomfortable conditions/environment.

It is unfortunate our minds have been so wrapped in slavery. People making excuses for the company and painting the employee evil.

Sir, nobody is making excuses for the company. Nigeria is not a perfect system and unemployment is still 33.33%. You will never get a perfect company or organisation in an economy with Nigeria's metrics (borrowing cost of 14% and inflation rate at 18.6%.).

She needed the place painted and a few other things fixed. Meaning, the place is not entirely bad as other 6 staff are living in the same staff quarters before her arrival. She could improvise or approach it differently. Lets be realistic, that company has a choice. Unemployment is 33.33%.

She seems to be at war with the company. She is on LinkedIn begging people to help her make the post go viral. Causing all kinds of problems within a month of employment. Do you think people will want her drama going forward?

She can't manage crisis and not a team person. She is demarketing herself.

You are not employed as a management staff for Christ sake. That room there is OK, you just need to tosh it up to your own taste.

Or manage it like that and collect your salary.

That isn't part of the condition and the company isn't doing her a favor. If you say the job comes with an accommodation, the accommodation should be decent and conducive enough for living. She shouldn't be fixing their property. People should watch out for such greedy employers as they can never do any better.

Why not start a business and employ the one you're looking for job for to understand how running a business is about

Evil employees. Employees from hell. Always running amock to cry falsely on almost everything. If all the men in your genealogy were men enough, you won't be looking for employment. Evil doer. I hate the " Quick Call-out Culture ".

Companies are folding up. Not just nationally, but globally. In their bid to improve humanity, some people do their best in their capacity to provide job opportunities only to be repaid badly by employees from Hell

Post the picture where you stay, let's have a look at that before we comment on this. Low-life shanty squatters always forming posh.

Some of you talk like you are the only ones who have travelled abroad to work before...

It depends on the job offer and the conditions...the accommodation might just be a "BONUS"...even many jobs in UK do not give free accommodation to its staff..and if the accommodation happens , it becomes a bonus.. not an entitlement...it is not salary...

The house is not well-kept..no proper hygiene...but in terms of size and taste....I have experienced it in Leicester,UK.. make una rest...

When you state accommodations in the offer, make it worthwhile, it’s an entitlement, you listed it in the offer, it’s not a bonus, it is a bonus is she asked for it and they offered, but the employer offered in the job offer, so rest. Read well, companies hardly give housing, but if it is stated in the offer, then make it worthwhile, you are not employing an animal, the uK own, you can complain to the company about what you want, PUT VALUE ON YOURSELF, raise your self confidence, you are the prize. When you know your worth, they need you as much as you need them especially if you are highly skilled.

The greatest value one can put on ones self is to start a business not seek employment opportunities.

Abroad hasn't improve your cognitive prowess one single bit.

That's where you're stvpid. Did you ever learn the difference between rejecting an offer and calling out people because they don't meet your lofty standards. Can she rent a single room apartment on the island. Can you there rent a single room on the island.

Since she's a big girl like you, she could have rejected the offer, rented a room and go to work from home na.
