emmaodet:Normally a country should access herself by what she could become, not drunk on the idea that she is doing fine because others are worse off. There are simply no reasons or justification for how Nigeria has degenerated because compared to those countries, we have the population, resources, arable lands, and human resources. How dare you compare Nigeria to Togo? It is like comparing a lion head with a chicken head. It is a shame for a lion to eat grass simply because it can't hunt, and Nigeria is the lion. They are pathologically, realistically, and organically different. Nigeria has lived a disgraceful existence, and there is no palatable way to slice it. For that false comparison, I hereby declare that you surrender yourself to the village square for thorough beaten by transgender masquerades lol. |

CaveAdullam:Omo mr Cave, you don vex o. Chai ![]() I can feel the anger, helplessness, and possibly hopelessness vibrating out of those sentences concerning the almost irredeemable state of Nigeria. I feel your pain bro, it pains me to my soul as well. And the more I go down the rabbit hole, the more helpless everything seems. First of all, in comparison to our population, Nigeria is actually a poor country. Nigeria is more populated than Brazil but Brazil is bigger than Nigeria almost ten times. The same goes for Russia, there are bigger than Naija about twenty times but Naija is more populated. Lagos has more population than Kazakhstan, but the country is bigger than Nigeria three times lol. The bigger your territory, the more resources you potentially have. Apart from oil with huge market value, which other resources do we have sef? Naija is simply broke by its very geographical nature. Our saving grace should be our human development like every other developed country with few resources (eg Germany, Japan), these countries have almost no resources, they knew that and quickly developed their people to be experts, improved sciences, and now, look at them. Meanwhile, Nigeria chooses to underdevelop its people, starve them, exploit them, and blame them. And as the law of compound wealth dictates, only time will multiply anything you plant. If you plant a mango seed, you will be rewarded with a mango tree. If Nigeria refuses to develop itself and its citizens, then time will reward such laziness, and more and more Nigerians will not only become useless to themselves and to others but to the country as well, which is very dangerous. Nigeria now is at its last straw, a breaking point, and its very existence is on the line. Sadly, we have a few redemptions left. The money we make may not be able to even pay our debt this year ending, the smartest ones living in mass, and the dumbest of the dumbest who occupy leadership positions are still busy embezzling in this survival mode. I am laughing as I type this, just to mask the anger because alternatively, I go just cry like a woman. You are a smart man, sha fastens up your plan and Japa, and don't look back. No be you destroy Nigeria, and don't let it destroy you also. Save yourself first, get strong, then decide if you want to come back, but for now, japa. |

I worked in the banking industry for 9years as a relationship manager. In March this year, I asked my boss to nominate me for sack (when you are sacked they pay you a few millions depending on your level). The day the sack list came was the day Canada stamped my passport. I arrived Canada last month, I'm resuming work on the 2nd of next month (on my 59th day in Canada) as a credit analyst in one of Canada big 3 banks. My annual pay is a $65,000 not a bad start at all. People with $100k combined income (husband and wife) are buying houses here and there. I encourage every banker to run away. |

Thunday1005:Utter crap! While Zenith Bank was busy amassing hundreds of billions of PBT every year and dashing it's CEO "online awards", they withheld the promotion of Operations staff for seven whole years! But kept on promoting marketing staff because they felt operators add no value to the organisation. Guys became wiser and decided to count their teeth with their tongue. The OP's article is incomplete. No other bank has been experiencing system downtime as much as Zenith Bank in this past 2 years. It's because ZB for now is the worst bank to be in as an operations staff. Aside from moving overseas, the operations staff are also moving to Globus and Providus Bank, on a daily basis. Zenith is now what you'd call a giant metal statue with bronze feet. Massive at first glance, but ready to collapse at any moment. Let them continue to be dashing management online "awards". |

CaveAdullam:Majority of Nigerians are sick and illiterate . Sickness of the mind and psyche. At least 20,% are in a state of learned helplessness 50% suffer from Stockholm syndrome the rest are divided between illiterate, religious fundamentalist and tribal bigots. For a significant group, they suffer from a cocktail of these illnesses . The sane ones are in the minority of the minority. How does anyone make the mistake of entrusting his future in the hands of such a people? I feel bad for the trapped minority, made up my mind a long time ago and they only regret is the 10yrs minimum Nigeria steals from everyone who is born and matures to adulthood in that contraption . For those who believe in elections in an underdeveloped country. Look at the stats above again. Miracles do happen anyway... cheerio |
