This is not true .......in 2018 right after my NYSC a job was already waiting for me . I quit from another place in July 2022 and a week after I got employed . In fact I had three Jobs waiting but went for the one I thought will be better .

there is no much future in tech like you presume. the next 30 years will show that. if you are wise and want relevance, always stick to anything human-centric. technology changes, humans never change. health will continue to worsen as we move into the future, go and get involved in health related domains with a focus on mitigation and care and you will have a future everyone will envy. leave the Fad called tech, it doesn't hold as much water as people ascribe it.

Tech is the future. It has what it takes to turn around the fortune of a whole nation. Indians are the highest paid nationals in America because of tech. Go to Google, Microsoft, Amazon...they plenty die. These are jobs that pay over 100 thousand dollars. There are millions of Indians in IT industry yet the field isn't saturated.

African countries should focus on tech and leverage on it. Outsourcing of tech jobs is the next big thing as the globalisation surge. Nothing as sweet as earning in dollars and spending in naira. Ask yahoo boiz.
Just imagine if millions of those yahoo boys actually go into tech. That's a big plus for our nation.

Gas and oil already has its day and will soon lose relevance. Maybe in another decade or two.
Six millions electric cars were sold last year out of 69 million, that was 10 percent of all cars.
Commodities will always be relevant but it had never brought prosperity to any African country despite huge commodity export yearly.
Tech and manufacturing are major sectors that can reduce unemployment significantly on the continent. Unfortunately we can't compete with the Asians when it comes to manufacturing, it only makes sense to leverage on tech. Enough about this commodity export.

If you jump into tech just like people started selling recharge cards years ago because mama Ugo and Daddy Azeez said ''it's what is moving now'', you are OYO.
I spoke to a friend about robotics 12years ago and he said such things can't earn you money in Nigeria. Today lego/ arduino projects yapa full schools in Lekki.
If you aren't creative, you'll barely make a difference anywhere you are; tech or not.
Tech is huge. Its not just backend and front end. Talk of nanotech and biotech. They must all sync. The trick is find a way to sync with the growing realities of the future.

I have a friend I taught Blender, today he does cool stuff behind movie scenes. Earns a decent
sum and is not a salary earner too. Tech is anything that syncs with the digital leverage, solve problems and improve lives...
UI/UX guys, Figma or Sketch.., you seldom code or not, even though its an added advantage if you do. Reminds me of the Dreamweaver age; Drag and drops to design webpages.
Just do what you do well. Sync with the current realities and be futuristic. You see things and embark on them before others understand what you're doing. Learn from America, copy like China.

There are lots of soft skills over there that can fetch you thousands of dollars.

Many companies pay for something as "insignificant" as social media handler.
All you do is post updates on their Twitter, Medium, Discord handles.

If you can write, you can apply to post articles for them (usually twice a week) and get paid weekly or monthly.

Oga forget.. I didnt even have skills in Ux design nd yet i have seen months i close deals approximately a million. Dont underate tech. Some guys are cashing out big with UI and Ux design.
Having tech skills isnt enough .. Some are masters in monetizing it nd im part of such

They don't know their onions. My first job in tech is 450k net. That was years back.
I have a friend that's into UI/UX. She relocated to Europe last year through that.
However, we still have people earning far less, as little as 120k, doing far more than what people earning 350k are doing.
It's all about packaging and marketing yourself.

Tech is the future,,, that's all I gotta say.

Everybody loves Tech but unfortunately, not everybody has the brain to learn tech as it comes with complexity and needs consistent learning and practicing. At a point you will even feel you are wasting your time. But it worth it if you have the brain to code and decode
