If those nurses leave Zimbabwe, more illigal Zimbabwean migrants are gonna come to SA in search of medical treatment but refuse to pay for the treatment afterwards.

Even South Africans pay for their hospital files.
kalu081:

Am sure your country pays well and your leaders visit this hospitals. Unlike Nigeria, where the leaders travel to the same UK that the doctors/nurses are migrating to for better working facility the same leaders can not provide.

For the value of human lives plus their efforts to qualify in becoming medical practitioners, I support them to travel for better working facility and for better pay not for your selfish motive

Wow!! Did I say Zimbabwean nurses are illegal immigrants? grin grin grin

Is it the availability of nurses in Zimbabwe that will prevent the migration of Zimbabweans into SA illegally? Where's the correlation?
Re: Medical Brain Drain In Zimbabwe: Government Blocks UK-Bound Nurses (Video) by Nobody: 9:43am On Oct 20, 2022
In as much as I feel for them, but my country and my fellow South Africans come first.

It hurts me seeing my fellow South African not being able to get admitted in a government hospital simply because the hospital beds are full of Zimbabwean illegal migrants who are gonna refuse to pay for their hospital treatments afterwards and run back to Zimbabwe.
Treasure17:

I get your point. But we can't stop people from seeking better environment they feel they can flourish especially when those saddled with the responsibility to develop their countries have failed to do so.

Since I'm xenophobic, then let's stop this discussion right here, right now.

No need for you to engage with a xenophobic person.
CheapHomes1:

I don't need to call you xenophobic. You have done it yourself.
Pls what does the topic say? What has the topic got do with SA? Was SA mentioned in the topic?

Good move. Nigeria must do this next.
African countries can't be training medical and health practitioners for 1/50 the cost of the UK. Only for the same beneficiaries to leave the system and be of use to a society that did not train them.
Insult me all you can but when you or a loved one is having a medical issue and you are stuck with an auxiliary nurse and you have to be on a 3hour queue because there are few doctors on standby, then your eye will clear. Unfortunately, you will blame Buhari or the next president.

The love blaming presidents instead of using their heads...

U guys just dey funny. Since u guys and the useless government u have in Nigeria and Africa as a whole don't want them to leave, then the nonsense governments should at least give them 50 percent of the benefit they get from those countries they travel to.
I can bet u that many medical practitioners will stay back in Africa, if only they can get half of the benefit they get from those countries they travel to. Na who nor want better thing for this life?

Instead of the useless government to address the issues that are making them leaving, they rather focus their attentions in blocking them from leaving.

Africa and useless government na 5&6

Shameless leaders! Quite shameful conduct!! Other world leaders would do well to ostracise Heads of Countries who clearly are performing below expectations. Imagine Buhari addressing The United Nations!

What if the health professionals here attended private universities? You won't employ and pay them well and yet don't want them to leave? Is that not slavery?

Go to Federal hospitals to seek for a job as a health professional. They'll ask you to bring N2million bribe. It's an open secret.

Nigeria does not have the right to stop any health professional from leaving.

What is the policy of the south African government regarding illegal migrants receiving medical treatment in south African hospitals based on what you have said above?

Do illegal migrants walk into government hospitals and request for service without an ID?

What checks have your government put in place to prevent the scenario you painted from occuring over and over again?

If you saying it is still happening, why has your government not put measures in place in SA hospitals to prevent such occurrences?

That's the thing, the Zimbabwean economy is very bad, I think even Nigeria is better than Zimbabwe economy wise.

As a result, a lot of Zimbabweans are unemployed and they can't afford to come to SA legally and pay for the required treatment.

That's why they come to SA as illegal migrants and run back to Zimbabwe after the hospital treatment in order to not pay.
