Good day All, please I need advice. I applied for VV for my family since April 2022 uptill now we haven't heard anything. I want to now apply for SOWP for my Husband and study permit for my children. I have 4 kids two and above 5yrs and two are less than 5. Please I need comprehensive advice on how to go about it and the list of documents we will need. Hello I don't have a comprehensive advice for you but the little I have is this;
Apply for SOWP ,vv is stagnant these days.
For your children for 5 yrs and above apply for study and below no need but fill in their names with vv application no you did for them and later explain that in LOE.
Then you will write an invitation letter inviting your spouse and family.
Let your Spouse write an SOP explaining the reason why they want to join you.
If your spouse is in biz , submit CAC or biz registration .
Submit home ties of building , cars
Pics of aged parents will be good
And if the spouse is a employed , submit photocopy of Id , pay slips , leave approval stating they expected back just to convince the VO you will be back after the stay.
Statement of account
Your statement of account will also be good as a back up
If you are working u can also put your pay slips
Any investments in Nigeria to show you will come back will be good.
Get all this documents and prayers will push u through , remember other people may have superior advice's

Sis In Law left on student visa January 2022.
Visiting visa for my brother and daughter was submitted same January 2022 and the wait started.
In August after reading plenty feedback here, I suggested we apply for SOWP for hubby and study permit for the daughter.
Application submitted August 18 and Medicals done upfront as well.
Another wait started up on till yesterday morning, there was still no movement on the application. Towards evening, we noticed movement (as we kuku dey check almost every sec..lol)
Voila...the long awaited arrived same 24th November.
My brother is yet to believe what just happened sef. God proved himself again at the 11th hour.
To those still expecting, please explore all you can..I can't even say specifically how we arrived here. Above all, God made it happen!!!
To those who probably submitted VV before and wondering if to proceed with SOWP....I will advise that you do and leave both applications open.

I got banned tonight and now inadmissible to Canada for the next 5 years. I am devastated. This is the saddest day of my life beside my father's death

I just got my cas for my admission in UK and at the stage to apply for study visa to UK having paid my tuition fees. I am considering requesting for refund of my fees but I see from the school site that there must be tangible reason to request for refund e. g Visa refusal, I have not been refused UK Visa yet because I have not even applied. Visa application fee is too high for an application that has very slim chances of success. It will be double pain to proceed with the Visa application and be rejected and the school seemingly not ready to make refund without a concrete reason.

Why where you banned from Canada and why do you think UK will reject you? Also a tangible reason for refund is if you don’t get a visa.

We are such a lucky family through God our Strength. My Wife's admission and PPR was approved in less than 2 months. Now our SOWP application has been approved in less than 2 months.

SOWP Application = October 9th

Biometrics = October 10th

Passport Request/Medical Upfront Update = November 22.

We give God all the praise.

POF = Naira account - 8.5m
= Dollar account - 20,000 dollars

We did all the application our selves, but had Makano (one of the guru here to review all our documents before upload!!)

(POF was 36mil although 23mil was in my husbands company account and others spread across his 3 personal savings account). We reapplied on 28th October with more funds (42mil but we had recently moved 28million from company account to his personal savings account a week prior to this and had 14 million in his 2 personal savings accounts ) we also got a notarized letter of sponsorship stating that he will pay our bills. We got my youngest child on a daycare waitlist too. We got another set of refusals on 25th November. We have ordered for GCMS notes on Monday the 28th of November. Please when we are reapplying , what can we do differently. Should we include my husband in the new application? We didn’t include him in the first two applications because of the issue of home ties. What category of visa should we apply for him and our kids this time?
What explanation can be used to demonstrate why the whole family is suddenly applying? ( I stated in the letter of explanation for the second refusal that he is very busy and travels a lot hence my decision to go with my kids). Thanks as i anticipate your response �

You are super lucky you already have yours approved. Firstly, what is the duration of your course? I will advise you travel first and then later work out how your family join you. You should have applied for VV for only the 4 and 1 year, leave the other two. If you persist on the whole family at this rate you might get your study permit reversed.

Thank you so much for your suggestion. My course is for one year. It has actually crossed my mind to apply for the younger two kids. I just wanted to know if there’s any possibility of applying as a family so I can weigh my options before reapplying.

Pls a friend of mine got his approval on Tuesday the issue is that as his bvl dropped , medical request dropped for his Kid's he instantly uploaded the e form for the kids but his ppr dropped and his kids are yet to drop now he doesn't know which way forward I was suggesting to send web form but I said let me seek for other advice here.

I would advise you wait for the note to better understand the reasons for the refusal.

Yes, It is better to include your husband and apply for SOWP for him. You can apply for study permits for the 9 and 7. As for home ties, a leave letter from your husband's workplace can help. Since he even owns a company, that's another tie. If he has parents or siblings, they are also a means of demonstrating ties.

To start with, do you intend to go to Canada with your husband or just the kids?
Also, is there a reason you didn’t apply for study permit for the 3 older kids?

You can use your husband's company and other available assets as home ties.
I suggest you move the funds to your individual/joint account, not a company account.

Please, relax and review your storyline again.. It will end in praise.

How are you going to be studying with a 2 years old boy? If you have decent funds to be able to afford accommodation and daycare it is fine as it can be boring alone.

You can travel without him for now, he will be just fine and running around while you are gone. The benefits outweigh the demerits

Does this mean that for someone studying a one year course, it is impossible to bring your dependents with you? I’ve seen two family applications that were approved for an applicant who is studying a one year course.

I have ordered for GCMS notes on Monday. And I didn’t write an explanation on the source of the funds . I assumed that since it was a business account and I have provided all the necessary papers for the business, I didn’t need to explain. I’m only just knowing that I should have explained the source of funds properly.
