Good day. Please I’m experiencing difficulties filling a new form. The web page keeps refreshing and when I try to retrieve application it says surname is incorrect. Is anyone else experiencing same please? I was up all night. I’ve used even Mozilla fox browser yet no headway.

It appears that Abuja is opening a small number of dropbox opportunities every day. Just to note, from the way they seem to be managing their appointments, it appears that everyone has an equal chance to obtain an appointment whether they use a visa agent or not. In short I would encourage you to save your money and to make your own appointment without using an agent if you qualify for Abuja's interview waiver.

i applied under Abuja, when i heard they were not giving dates in abuja again, i had to cancel appointment and reapply under Lagos

Hello everyone.
My mom has an interview date for 2024 but qualifies for drop box.
What are the next steps? An agent is asking for N200K or more to get the dates and said the new date is from Feb for Lagos.
Can we get dates by ourself? The form was bought in April.

And they say it needs to be filled 6months before the date.

Please advise and also if I can know the best steps to take.

He or she is fooling you. An invitation is a waste of paper, the visa officers will adjudicate your application based on whether they think you and your wife are qualified for a visa.

Yeah I’m trying to fill it myself but the page keeps refreshing. I don’t know if anyone else has tried to fill a fresh ds160 form and experienced that. I tried all night and different browsers same issue.

This won't fly with the embassy. Why would a friend want to sponsor you and your wife? He will cough out thousands of dollars for a fun trip for you guys? Ok oooooo
They also don't bother with invitation letters.

Okay I understand, is better to choose Lagos, I’m regretting choosing Abuja, my appointment is yet to be canceled I know it will be canceled definitely by embassy. Is good they are giving opportunity to reschedule canceled appointments with location option without requesting for another visa payment.

You shouldn’t say he is fooling him, most people abroad do not have idea that US embassy in nigeria don’t look at invitation letter and is possible to sponsor someone abroad but visa officer won’t take you serious is you indicate that in your application except you are student.

Yes. It was extended to cover 48months so even if your last visa expired around Dec 2018, you should be eligible.

However do note that you must have paid your visa fees by May 2022 to enjoy the interview waiver service.

A few people have opined that they were able to get dates and confirmation even with MRV receipts made after this time so feel free to confirm this when you're scheduling your date.
