Yes naa. Buy out does not mean it has been delisted or suspended from trading. I even sold off above the N7.00 they paid in buy out.

RabbiDoracle did it around 2018.

Within a week, market fell.

From my observation here, I am of the opinion he knows how to predict a bear market better than a bull one.

Lie investment one does same as well deducting N50

emmanuelewumi:
rote author=essentialone post=120596763]3 reasons why I will be completely quitting the use of Meristem stockbrokers by Q3 of this year.

1. Of all my stockbrokers, only Meristem stockbrokers deduct #50 from the money I deposit into their account, per deposit.
2. Of all my stockbrokers, only Meristem stockbrokers will not allow you to use all your deposited money to buy shares. They will always hold back N100 to themselves. The money is small but the reason is unclear and most likely invalid.
3. Of all my stockbrokers, only Meristem stockbrokers does not have the option of placing an order that can remain valid for 30 days. The maximum number of days that an order can remain in Meristem stockbrokers is 14 days.

I have tried to complain about these three things to them severally, but I think their Management does not care about feedbacks and complaints. Please if their agents are here, tell them ooo.

I agree with you.

Of all the stockbrokers that I do business with, it is only Meristem that will give you a margin loan on insist on the shares you must buy. These shares are reviewed every quarter.

Once I have provided enough security cover I should buy whatever stock I want to buy. You will hardly make money from their margin loan facility, I believe they are always late to the party as per the stocks on their list

Won't say much but only drawing people's attention to where the events could emanate from - - - western countries' bond crisis or something external.

So we watch and see how it plays out.

Just read that FO earns nearly a billion naira in dividend from his FBNH shares. I wonder if there are ordinary Nigerians who live on dividend. I actively trade but now I'm seriously considering switching to accumulating for dividend
Btw, does anyone have comments on Moody's downgrade of some Nigerian banks due to govt debt exposure

There are investors who live off their dividends and others whose dividends constitute more than 50% of their total annual income. These sets of investors should be about 5% of the investors in the market.

If your annual dividends can pay your rents, mortgage and utility bills, you are doing well and you are on the right track to building a solid dividend income in the next 10 years.

Then if your annual dividends is 4 times of your rent, mortgage and utility bills, you are super doing well and can decide to opt for an early retirement or semi retirement. It will take an average of consistently investing in solid stock for 20 years and having a good personal financial strategy in place in order to achieve this.

It will get to a stage whereby the total annual dividends earned will start growing faster than inflation

My opinion though.
