HELLASJ:

Minna is very free, the day I applied the following day was free for booking appointment.

If you want to get it in days, you'll have to pay extra for urgent service.

It's better you know someone before going so that everything will be finalized, you just go, capture and wait for your passport at agreed date/day

Am interested pls, I heard i can collect same day at Minna. Pls am in your dm for contact. Pls

This DM thing will take time, can I pls give you my WhatsApp contact

Please I want to change my first name on my passport and I was told to go to Abuja and was given a contact who told me to pay 170k. But I feel it’s extortion. Should I go ahead to do it myself online?

Will there be complications?
Please I need urgent answers🙏🥹

Standard passport
Thanks, I noticed it's only the 5years option that is on the page. I thought there's 10years passport or it has been cancelled?

Perhaps passport booklet paper for 64 pages is very scarce.

Choose 34 pages/5 years.

I even tried 64 pages but didn't change to 10years and that 10years is the real deal.

Good day, people. Please, does the last item in the screenshot have to be ticked before I go for the passport? I applied via DIY & captured on November 7 last year at Festac office, Lagos.

HELLASJ Good day brother. My capturing is next week In minna, but I’ve never been to the state/city. My questions are
1) When the passport is ready, how can I get someone to waybill it for me? I live in a far place
2) how many weeks maximum before the passport is ready?
3) you said something about signing the guarantors form for #500 in the NIS premises, do you mean the oath stamp? Or I can see someone to use as a guarantor there?
Thank you for your input here, you actually influenced my going to minna for capturing because u said it fast and DIY friendly, regards.

Good evening brother.

1. I don't know really, you can discuss with them, they'll have a way to helping
2.Takes maximum of 6 weeks to be ready (mine took 5 weeks)
3. Yes, oath stamp(N500) and about the guarantor? I'm not sure, unless you want to pay extra, then might find someone else for you from within.

Go get your passport, there's high chance it's been produced already. They don't usually update those things most times.

HELLASJ, bro what do you think I can do about this?
I did a correction on my NIN DOB and it’s suppose to have been corrected before today(Friday) but anytime I check in the NIN app the corrected has not been made. Now my capturing is early next week.
Should I go and capture first or wait till it’s done? Will I be able to do it anytime after my appointment date? Please help

If your DOB on your passport reg. doesn't tally with that of NIN, you won't be able to capture.
Go to NIN unit at immigration office there, they should be able to rectify it for you, before capturing or go to NIN office where you did the change and lay a complaint.

Please i have same issue o but mine is age, they keep saying they havent gotten the update
olig:

Thanks for your response.

That is not even the issue. A NIMC official has helped her to check. The data on NIN is correct.

A NIS official also checked and told her that the remaining thing is for Abuja to confirm her change. He showed her the page and what they wrote there is that there is mismatch in surname.
NIN has change to her new surname while NIS has not. She still has her former surname in NIS.
And that is why she applied for a change (due to marriage).

We still don't know what to do or how long it will take NIS to change her surname

NIS website seems to be having issues lately. Hopefully, it'll be sorted out soon.

Avoid Abia State immigration command by every means if you're using DIY.

Just like what I heard about before going, I was forced to cough out 12.5k today for logistics today when I went for biometrics. Even after that, my file was dumped because according to them, I needed to entrust my application to an officer to process it for me.

The servicom officers there are as corrupt as other officers.

I waited till pass 5pm before I was attended to. This came after I couldn't wait again nor come back there, so I had to also sort myself out, because they were ready to frustrate me because I did DIY.
