Nobody is exactly sure whether or not there are spiritual consequences for adultery. It is all about superstition and assumptions. Bad things happen to good and bad people.

Even from the Christian bible, the remarkable stories of David and Solomon shows that God loves adulterers. Imagine God making the adulterous David the man after his heart.
