gurunated49: When it comes to the issue of making a career choice, I am always of the opinion that the individual making the choice should know what he/she wants. People's opinions have little or no impact in becoming who you want to be. The question you should ask yourself is that: Where does my passion lies? What do I love to do? |

Jago2244: Dentistry and Medicine are like two sides of a coin. The two are similar in most aspects though not exactly the same. In Nigeria, Dental students are accorded the same respect as medical students. They are both doctors. They are both under the same body (MDCN). They have the same salary scale and earn almost the same amount. Dentistry is as lucrative as Medicine both home and abroad. 1 Like |

Jago2244: It is lucrative abroad, same salary at home in public hospital sha. Its less demanding in terms of work hours compared to MBBS. But the process to get certified to practice abroad is a bit more steeper compared to MBBS. You do more research on in on Google if you have more questions. |

I am in your shoes too. Did anatomy and graduate with second class upper. Came for my mbbs but was denied admission the year I served. Strike came and 2020 covid. I was 25 that time. Now, I'm 28, I was just given the admission and we've resumed. Along the line of waiting, I applied for msc which i am about to round up with my defence. My brother, let's pray all things augur well with the country. God gives us life and good health, we will still be alive in the next 6 years without having anything to speak for if we don't pursue this. Now, people will expect me to go for Phd. Definitely, all my friends will be shocked when they see me in class this month. But does that mean that my calling lies In that, NO. My candid advice, never look down on your age. Never looked into your age. Pursue your dreams. As long as there is a will, there is a way. Perhaps you can reach out to me for better discussion via WhatsApp. Zero eight one zero one two three one two five two MedicalFlame10: 5 Likes |
