Yes i will but Iโ€™ll correct a few mistakes i did while courting. Iโ€™ll say this as an advice, as a man wanting to marry someone around your age, do not go over board showing her all the love & affection. Love her just enough if you want to be in control of your home. I dated for over 10 years & married now & i regret the way i over loved her especially cooking always & going on errands because I wanted to be sweet. Now itโ€™s used against me, long story short, i spoiled her. Donโ€™t show you love her too much, youโ€™ll spoil her, women are like that.

May lightening strike you and your useless single mum who raised you.
Same applicable to your useless aunt who's still a single mum whose husband ran away from her because of the singlemum tags following your mum's family.

I m waiting for the mod.
Stupid male-slut.

What irked me was the stupid mod that hid my response to him then left his there.
Funny enough he was raised by a single mum and his mum's sisters are either divorcees or their husbands ran away from them, yet he had the effrontery to open his useless mouth to fabricate lies against me,like he knew me personally, the same way this doofuz also came to my other thread trying to love-vendor me to one of his fellow bastard,I kept him kwayet....make lavylilly try nonsense with me again, maybe he dey think say I be new nairaland that he can peddle lies on,I go use ham set example publicly on this forum, imagine this stupid druggie

If she's been your sister or mother, would you have changed her during the windfall?

How long you think the wealth will last? What assurance do you have that the fine woman will not bring your downfall?

You get the woman destiny assigned to you. Like Yoruba would say, marriage is a place of education, a school that is.

If your wife is bad, make her good.
If she's good, make her better.
If she's better, make her the best.

Don't stop improving the women in your life. Whatever you do through them will come back in folds to you. Never mind their weaknesses.

Do they accept they have weaknesses?

The answer is no, I would have insisted on not marrying her, because I saw all the red flags, but eventually bowed to pressure now I'm suffering it alone.

What kinds of red flags?

You're right, they don't. You just have to continue doing your own thing irrespective of their weaknesses, because they will never agree to their weaknesses.

Just like them, each of us have our flaws, like the time we stay on social media and forums and other bad habits they know of. If we are confronted, we find an excuse.

I didn't o grin and my post wasn't meant as an attack, just a statement of fact from someone who doesn't like rigma-rollers and rigma-rolling around issues.

What he did is something I often encounter online and offline. It just made me think what is wrong with these people sef, how did they manage to pass exams in school? When they skirt around issues and don't answer questions directly.

The thing is not rocket science na. If you have it good say so and tell us why. If you have it bad say so and tell us why OR don't tell us anything at all. But what I don't want to hear is this philosophical dogmas about marriage it is exasperating.
I don't take their comments as a serious one too. Just scroll pass their reply next time. But the way you came on strongly with that your reply actually shocked me o. No vex abeg. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

I married my wife when I was much younger. I didn't understand life so I chose her because of breast and nyash.
So now that I am older and wiser and have seen life and known that everything is vanity upon vanity, I'll still chose my wife because of breast and nyash๐Ÿ˜†

Someone telling you she has nowhere to go to and that you should throw her loads onto the streets doesn't sound very fine to me.

lol you expect everyone in such situation to come on public forum like this and open their family affairs? Some women wey dey always chop correct beating from their husband go still dey tell their friends outside say my husband is lovely and caring like say na jazz the man dey use for them. Do you expect me to come on nairaland and be say my wife is these and that? Not every cloth we fit dey wash outside(openly).

Most of dem are just a bunch of liars. They are saying yes " because their wives know their user name on this platform...I can bet you this opinion didn't represent a typical Naija husband. Most of them are regretting... because of their entitled mentality "Wives they have married....tueh "
No be me dey follow you suffer for your marriage....keep on suffering and pretending....till death do you part

Your mum must have taken your dad's eye to see shege. I get it, you can't give what don't have. Not every marriage out there is like the one you are witnessing between your mum and dad.

Nothing to hide, we have seen plenty of Nairalanders creating threads to share their bad experiences concerning what is going on in their marriages.
Even on Facebook, many married people are saying it as it is that they regret marrying their partners not to talk of nairaland which is a faceless forum.
