You may be right, when you factor in the layovers.
Unfortunately for our Super Falcons, no easy way to get to Aussie-land.
JohnBullMySon:
Lagos to Australia can't even be 27 hours unless you're just counting time spent in flight. I'm guessing 40hours at the very least. There will be one overnight layover at least due to the exotic nature of the route and about two layovers in total. Anything shorter than 40 hours is probably too expensive.

Obviously someone with little or no knowledge of women's football in America.
FYI... there was the USL W-League and the WPSL PRIOT to 1999. Do some research, young buck.

I presume reading and understanding clauses in bylaws and regulations might be a struggle for you - like I once stated earlier, stick to what you do best - videography!

Cheers!

The most annoying thing is arguing with someone who knows nothing but acts like they know everything. In 2000 the first profession league was formed in America. Before that the players didn’t get paid. Mia Hamm and Co didn’t play professional football in America until the 2000s.

South Africa squad in dispute with FA ahead of World Cup

Reuters
July 2, 2023

JOHANNESBURG, July 2 (Reuters) - South Africa's Women's World Cup preparations were plunged into chaos on Sunday when a shadow national team including a 13-year-old took on Botswana in a friendly as the squad selected for the finals were locked in a dispute with the national association.

The match was supposed to be a send-off for the squad going to the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand before they continue their preparations outside the country.

But a dispute with the South Africa Football Association (SAFA) over bonus payments and their contracts for the tournament meant the World Cup-bound squad did not play.

Instead, a hastily put together side with no senior national team experience lost 5-0 in front of bemused fans at a packed Tsakane Stadium and a watching television audience.

South Africa coach Desiree Ellis acknowledged the tensions behind the scenes and said the national team would have to sit down with SAFA and "plot the way forward".

SAFA officials did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Reuters, though the organisation’s football manager Mzwandile Maforvane confirmed the issues to the SABC.

"There are challenges that we have with regard to the team and I believe the governance structure of SAFA is dealing with those issues," he said.

South Africa's Minister of Sport Zizi Kodwa released a statement calling on the parties to find an amicable solution and said he would meet the country's players' union on Tuesday.

"I urge the team to be focused on the major task that lies ahead ... I will be meeting with the South Africa Football Players' Union on Tuesday to hear the serious concerns expressed by the team," Kodwa said.

"The meeting will consider issues pertaining to the government's commitment and support to the team, the team's working, welfare and health conditions, including transparency and accountability related to the signing of contracts."

South Africa are due to meet Costa Rica in a final warm-up game in Christchurch on July 15.

They have been drawn alongside Sweden, Italy and Argentina in Group G at the World Cup, which kicks off on July 20.

Rinsola Babajide
Monday Gift
Esther Okoronkwo
All in one team? Hmm🧐

How will the Coach set up his attacking line up to accommodate all this players, Monday and Babajide plays mostly from the Left though the 3 of them can play any of the positions upfront though..!

Anyway UDG Tenerife attack will be filled with Pace, Skills and a lot Power, couple with that Ivorian Skillful and smallish winger Koko Ange N'Guessan

Yea. It depends on how the coach sets up though. Gift Monday played more of a midfield role (on the left wing) than she did attack. Didn't like it quite frankly, but understand that's the coach's strategy.

They seem to be doing some recruiting so they may just setup differently next season.

I just hope whatever tactics the Coach going to employs next season is going to favor our players..

I so much believe in their talents especially Esther Okoronkwo, that girl is such a confident baller, skillful and Clinical in front of goal

Couldn't have said it better

Does she have weak foots? Haven't observed her enough to know. This is one of Alozie's negatives, it's something I hope she improves on so she's more lethal in attack.

Okoronkwo is Left footed, she also look too aggressive in a style of Play for someone who grew up in America unlike Alozie, Payne Sisters and Onumonu...

Alozie doesn't have a weaker foot.

I watch her in the NWSL regularly where she plays as a striker so I know what I am saying. She's good with crosses and passes, but when it comes to striking the ball close to or inside the net, she doesn't hit well.

Alozie uses both feet's effectively unlike Esther Okoronkwo who's Left footed with a weak right.

Yes Alozie does. Should have been more specific with what I meant by "weak foot". Refer to my last comment for context. She won't be playing as a striker for us though so shouldn't be a problem.

This way rather Gift on the Left, Esther in the middle and Rinsola from the right. Though she and Rinsola can swap wing occasionally..

Infact the 3 of them can Play any position upfront..

Onyi Echegini is arguably my favorite since Okobi isn’t in the Squad… Again we all must also take note that the whole of Nigeria, Africa and the World at large are really waiting to see what she has to especially with the dropping of Ngozi Okobi.. I just pray she doesn’t disappoint because with this kind of Opportunity she might hold on to that AM position for long if she delivers..

Imagine Christy Ucheibe 22yrs, Onyi Echegini 22yrs.. I’m still waiting on a Central Midfielder of same age with them to step into the show soon.

Again I just hope she will be able to deal with the pressure of Playing at the Biggest stage of Women Football. Onyi Echegini is a complete baller, the Energy, pace, Strength, skills, mentality, Passes and many more are there… I know the experience isn’t there yet.

Again Nigerian are waiting to see how she delivers as her name have been ringing as the one or should I say one of those who replaced experienced Ngozi Okobi..

NFF must invest in the youthful players and bring them on. Players like Nicole Payne, Peace Efih, Flourish Sebastian, Esther Onyenezide, Ajakaiye etc should all be drafted into the Super Falcons after this world cup no matter the outcome

Hmm🧐

Peace Efih seems to have lost it one way or the other, her coming back to the team she have to contend with Onyi Echegini who seems to have 1.5leg in the SuperFalcons midfield now. Though every Coach have his/her choice to make in terms of player’s selection
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Deltamani: 1:13pm On Jul 04, 2023
Another thing i must say I’m beginning to like is the Inclusion of Deborah Abeodun. She will be 20 by November but common this young girl can pull those Kante defensive moves in the Midfield, then allowing Ucheibe to go box2box with Echegini in the attacking midfield role..

With the likes of Ayinde, T Payne etc playing the role of Veteran when the time comes.

We all will say the Coaches knows best YES I AGREE but Randy decision not to go with Nicole Payne really bothers me, I see a lot of talent in her, You know how demanding it’s right now for Full Backs as far as the modern game is concerned..

Nicole should be the quickest FB in the team, her burst of pace going forward is really something the Coaches really need to take advantage of just like what Selma Bacha is doing for Lyon, I remember when she ran with the ball from defense to the Canadian box during the friendly game, even though Onumonu couldn’t anticipate the final pace but that was a great one from her.

You all should take note of Rofiat Imuran at the World Cup too, that girl is one for the Future…!!

Gk- Chiamaka Nnadozie

DF- Blessing Demehin, Rofiat Imuran, Akudo Ogbonna, Onyi Zogg, Nicole Payne, Chidinma Okeke

MF- Christy Ucheibe, Onyi Echegini, Peace Efih, Deborah Abeodun, Esther Onyenezide

AT- Rash Ajibade, Monday Gift, Maclean Chinonyerem, Anam IMO, Flourish Sabastine, etc are certainly for the future as they’re all below 24 except Onyi Zogg

We still competition for Chiamaka Nnadozie

The future is probably bright for the Super falcons with the right coach if only the NFF tone down politics and interference in player selection.

You forgot to mention she has the lungs of a horse.
Was watching the SF matches against Costa Rica and New Zealand again over the weekend and that girl covered literarily every blade of grass on the field. Left channel, right channel, center, defense, attack, back and forth, nonstop. Her level of coverage is scary.
Wish her all the very best!
