After words the doctor should place you on some testosterone therapy to bring it up to normal level.
Being shy around your fellow man is NOT right. Don't listen to any one telling you to embrace it. Shit is not normal. This is how some people with this issue graduate from that to transgenders, all because of listening to people who said it was ok.

Shyness is a normal concept that exists with being humans, it's not a diseases, the last time I checked testosterone deals with the secondary sex characteristics development and high sex drive or libido or low sex drive. Being shy around anybody whether with your fellow guys or ladies is normal, it's a stage thing everyone gets over it in due time, most people have passed through that stages before when they are passing through the stage of self development and eventually gets over it. Some people are still passing through this shyness as we speak, it's just that they don't come online and create a thread and talk about it. Doesn't mean the OP is the only one passing through this. There are others, but they don't discuss about it.

It's not normal...though the world is trying to normalize it.
But truth is that it is not sustainable to have another gender aside male and female.
You are most likely a biological male but a psychological female. So you need to work on your psyche so you can start thinking, talking and acting like a male. It's not going to be easy.

Some things are difficult to explain but the same reason why you are not happy after the act is a psychological problem but you feel more fulfilled doing the same thing with a babe you have been crushing on.
