Cartoon it's more educational and exposes you to life globally compare to zee world and Africa magic that repeat the same old stories. I am 40yrs I still watch adventures and good narrative cartoons with my kids because it enhances my communications with them.

Those animes are loved and painstakingly created every year by many grown men and women-- many of them now in their 50s/60s-- who also have responsibilities, some even more than you can ever dream of shouldering. Stan Lee, for example, continued pushing his comic dreams well into his 90s and he had responsibilities too.

So stop hiding behind these useless tales typical of folks who are merely under-achievers with nothing but excuses to offer the world.

I can bet you, I can mention many cartoons I've watched more than an average Nigerian, at some point I was a cartoonist, drawing cartoon characters, and I still have friends that draw cartoon characters for fun.

Yes I still love cartoons don't get me wrong, but in this part of the world, you and I know that the chances of having a career in that field as an animator/cartoonist is low plus I'm not that talented, also it's different from my discipline.

And the fact that I'm an "under-achiever" is enough reason to put my hands to something achievable that I can offer to the world or at least my immediate environment.

2. Oh, please! The reason that Nigerians don't even attempt such feats has to do with herd mentality and lack of innovation. You said you used to draw cartoons so what stopped you from pushing on to writing and maybe even working on cartoon shorts here and there? The average Nigerian would rather go out and do what everyone else is doing to make money than try something entirely different. That is the major reason why there is near no animation industry in Nigeria even though talent dey if you search well.

There is nothing wrong with the man, he has no issues with the woman watching cartoons, all he wants is for his wife to know where to draw the line. He wants the wife to act like an adult sometimes. Acting like characters you watch in cartoon should be for kids not adult. When you switch roles with kids they subconsciously disrespect you and start seeing you like a playmate.
You can't tell if the wife and one of the kids have been acting tom and Jerry throwing objects at each other which prompt the man to share his problem and seek solution on social media.

I watch cartoons. My parents watch cartoons too.

I really don't understand what the problem is here.
