spagettiluv: there you go again,SW towns, cities always have the ancient part and the new part.
Why Pull drone view of areas with ancients buildings in ogbomosho compare with areas developed less than 5yrs ago just to deceive his gullible people? Do not forget same Nsukka as ancient part as well.
I know ogbomosho well,next time,show views of estates,new sites,GRAs,beautiful areas in ogbomosho
There are no beautiful areas in the whole Ogbomosho. From taki to Stadium no area with beautiful houses in the whole Ogbomoso.
You really don't have identity, you abandoned the topic and started claiming what you are not, just to sale a lie and misinform the public, what you gain is still a mystery to me, seun put a lot of work work to setup this forum, but your likes are bent on killing it with tribalistic inputs.
FatherOfJesus: The dick measurement between southeast and southwest is not new to anyone here in nairaland and as someone who has toured both regions extensively, I have some observations to make so both parties can relate to it. Kindly note that in this analysis, I'm not including Lagos state, Lagos is miles ahead of any state in southeast or southwest, hence I will focus more on the other 5 states in southwest.
1. Foreign large-scale Industrialization: My observation is that southwest is more industrialized that southeast in general, particularly the states of Oyo nd Ogun hold more industries than any state in southeast. However, states like Abia, Anambra and Enugu are more industrialized than Osun, Ekiti and Ondo.
2. Local industrialization: There's seem to be more of industries that are locally owned in southeast than southwest, particularly in Anambra and Abia. However, in Ogun nd Oyo, many local production are also taking place.
3. Agriculture: Southwest is far ahead of southeast when it comes to agricultural production including livestocks etc. I'm of the knowledge that southeast is more of a consumer market when it comes to agriculture except from Local rice production happening in Ebonyi state.
4. Standard of living: I will give this to southeast, southeastern usually don't like living in rickette and old looking houses as much as people from southwest. It is why when you look at the landscape of a town from southeast compared to that of southwest, southeast will most likely look better. Southeasterner invest a lot in buildings than southwest.
5. Commerce: We have more commercial activity in southeast than southwest, Abia and Anambra are more commercialized than any state in southwest. This is not to say that Oyo and Ogun are not doing well here as well. After Lagos and probably Kano, no state in Nigeria compares to Abia and Anambra when it comes to commercial activity.
6. Federal government presence: Southwest has more federal government impact than southeast. Southeasterner seem to be more independent of the government in whatever they do.
This is a decent overview and it should help us reach a common ground on this dick measurement.
Your opinion should be accepted as decent overview?
Hate will not allow you to be objective enough. Even as I read your trash, I can hear and feel the hate oozing from your soul. But whatever rocks your boat nigga I really don't care. But one thing is certain, SE is way above SW by every standard.
So why can't you and your people stay in the southeast, why are you running to every nook and cranny of the southwest every night and day. 98% of the east is run solely by the igbos....why run from developed place to a non developed place. Ant brain pls reason.

Lol, you guys are not smart at all. The basic reason why Igbos have the highest standards of living is because they are in every country making money and sending remittances home. Same thing the Chinese and Indians are doing and that's why they're pulling millions out of poverty. Yorubas can't even afford to modernize their towns, cities or villages due to lack of disposable income. However, look at Igbo cities, towns and villages and see how modern they look.
Poverty circle has hit you guys badly and that's why your places are not experiencing any improvement.
skj1377: . The Chinese hardly come to Nigeria with their families besides their presence in Nigeria is strictly business. They serve as agents for goods produced in their home country. The Ibos in Lagos come to make a life in Lagos. They don't produce what they are selling in most cases as they import them. Infact their economic activity is not exactly beneficial to the economy of both the region they reside in as well as the country at large.
You succeeded in saying a whole bunch of nothing 😂 The Chinese are in Nigeria strictly for business but igbos in the southwest are there for sightseeing?
You even did some acrobatics and started tapping about how igbos don’t produce what they sell😂😂
Which tribe in Nigeria is more involved in indigenous productions?
Oga you raised no points at all in this your muddled and almost irrelevant response

I don't need to look at igbo town and villages cos u dolts can't even stay there. And I am guessing the money you make from the southwest falls from heaven. You need us to survive....Southwest is your london. People from all over the world goes to the china and india you just mentioned but guess what nobody goes to your shithole. In the affairs of things in this country and the world at large southeast is inconsequential.
[quote author=itsIYKE post=127569079] Yoruba claims of sophistication is very well manifested in multitudes of your women and girls hawking agbo all over the streets of Onitsha and Aba
Well, as you said in your own opinion that the analysis you gave is decent...you're on OYO.

Tmb78: When you read what these igbos write online, I understand why some yorubas see them as duplicitous. Haba! Is it not the same igbos we know on our streets? The ones we went to secondary and university with? Or another Igbo? You see them in remotest villages with their families doing menial jobs where me a Yoruba can't even live But they will be here forming billionaires, forming landlords So pathetic!
when you see them talk online, you begin to wonder who are now the igbos that hawk all sorts of things all over here.
skj1377: . Oga it's not the same thing. The Chinese in Nigeria or Lagos are they trying to be governor or looking for political positions reserved for indigenes If Ibos come to Lagos for strictly business the issues in the last election will not arise . You have your region of the country that belongs to you yet you migrate to another person's region and start struggling political positions with them ! Oga tell your people to face their business while in Lagos just like the Chinese. They can go to their region and play politics
Has anyone Igbo man contested for the governorship seat of Lagos state before?
In all sincerity, I want you to answer this question
spagettiluv: but 90% of those in SE are ibos, why haven’t any of those tiny backward villages you called cities not civilized like Lagos ?
I need you to be confident in the knowledge that some of the places you chose to call "tiny backward villages" are more infrastructure developed and economically ahead than some of your major towns in the southwest.
I have traveled round Nigeria, the number of igbos in oyo is not upto 0.05% of igbos in kano , but kano people will never make noise about the large trading igbo communities in kano but yorubas will not let us sleep if there are 5 igbos in ibadan
I thought you people said igbos in Lagos are the ones making Lagos the most successful in Nigeria

Maybe you haven’t seen the slums in southeast.
Southeast has the least development and the worst of slums are in Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu and Aba.
It’s because people have been silent and nobody think about the east. But we don get their time to expose their deteriorated region online
