A man, identified as Marcel Udeh from Umunneochi LGA of Abia State has been nabbed by the Police, for allegedly killing his son.

His son’s offense, according to a community source, was that he returned home and ate the last portion of food in a pot inside the family’s kitchen.

According to the story, Mr Udeh was enraged that his late son could enter the kitchen to take food without getting permission from his father.

In anger, he was alleged to have dashed into his room, brought out a gun and fired at his son, leading to the victim’s death.

Mr Marcel Udeh was promptly apprehended by members of the community who tied his two hands and placed him on the lifeless body of his child.

Another account of the incident claimed that the suspect used a sharp object on his son, leading to his death.

Udeh, who was begging for mercy, blamed his actions on the devil, saying that he regretted what he did.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of Abia State Command, ASP Maureen Chinaka confirmed that the incident was reported at the Umunneochi Division, adding that the suspect has been arrested.

Yes, we got a report at Umunneochi Division, the suspect has been arrested and the matter has currently been transferred to the SCID for discreet investigation and will be charged to Court afterwards”, said the PPRO.

I am not happy about it.

But it should teach misguided Igbo people a lesson. They were busy shouting "Igbo people are not complaining". Now, this incident has proven that Igbo people are also feeling the heat.

Meanwhile, Jennyclay is excited about this news.

The stomach doesn't lie. But damn, this is an extreme case.

"Agụụ na-agụ anyị"

We haven't seen anything close to this in the SW or any other part of Nigeria. Yet, nairaland is replete with threads mocking the SW!

My brothers from the east have gone mute. If this was in Ogun state or Katsina state, they would have invaded this thread with ebi npawa nonsense. When you live in a glass house, don't throw stones.

You hit the nail on the head.. they are fond of mocking others while they pretend to be better.

When they were insulting and abusing Yorubas with unprintable names on this forum, the owner didn't do anything, he allowed them operate freely but when Yorubas started giving them their insults back in multiple folds, they started crying that tribalists want to ruin the forum.

This is anger. Has nothing to do with hunger. To bury his son will cost him more than a plate of rice.

The boy is bad angry

He won't go to school

He won't go to farm

He won't help his mum

He won't help his dad

He goes out to smoke hemp and come back late to be abusing and fighting everybody

I don't blame his father here for shooting him, it had nothing to do with hunger but the boy was just too stubborn cry

there is hunger everywhere in Nigeria, nowhere is free from hunger, thanks to the misrule of the APC government in power.
Hunger is indeed a junior brother of a madman.
this mad man must face the full weight of the law.

No that's not true. He was a naturally stubborn child cry

It's just that at the time he was scheduled to die he had just finished eating. Now my emilocorn members want to twist it to say that it's the food that killed him sad

Nigerians please try to build your house with garden space around it. So you can plan fruits, vegetables and even yam and potatoes. These things are not hard to plant. Na only fish, meat and salt suppose de carry us go market because most have farming background.

Even our soil in bucket is very fertile.
