Maybe it has much to do with the absence of protean fluidity in most women who think that they are smart. I can easily blend into a gathering of idiots and vulgar plebeians in a local beer parlour just as easily as I can engage sharp dudes in robust intellectual discussions in an upscale environment. But 'smart' intellectual women would speak fake 'Queen's English' even to their suya man, just as they would defiantly explain to me why Mouth Gig is unhealthy or why doggy style is demeaning. A person who is intellectual is completely different from a smart person. Most of us don't realize this simple mistake. A woman intellectually brilliant than her peers might find it difficult to settle down but a smart woman will always reason her way to the altar.

E.G- An intellectual woman- SAT score of 1950, I.Q score 125 or more, First class undergraduate degree, Suma Cum Laude Graduate degree would definitely not want to settle with an average joe!

A smart woman- graduated university with 2.2, had 3 different boyfriends in school after serving NYSC became more religious and because she's got a hot body and appealing personality is about to be married to a rich oil tycoon, engineer or politician. Life is all about perspectives!
