TOPIC: 7 BOMBSHELLS AGAINST DEPRESSION/HEAVINESS
BASIC SCRIPTURES:

We triumph without glory, when we conquer without danger. Problems are real! So is winning! The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands in times of pain, challenges and controversy. Welcome to today's devotional! In this end of year season, lots of unplanned battles/trials show up. Indeed, satan's calendar of battles against you does not include any end of year slogan! But when trials come, always remember that depression (being moody, sorrowful and heavy) is a tool of satan to complete his assignment of killing, stealing and destroying. Pass through every difficulty and trial with faith in God. Force yourself to be happy, even if it means, "pretending." But never, never and I repeat never allow heaviness and depression even 0.1℅ space in your heart. Help yourself with the following:
1. Tell those who are close to you how you feel. Confide with a person that can stand with you in prayer. Even Paul did.
2. Never isolate yourself. Stop feeling inferior and reject self-pity totally. Everyone you see daily has one problem or the other. Reject the devil's lie! You are not a special case. Get out and mix. Attend church regularly.
3. Pray for courage and patience. Read or tell someone to read for you scriptures and books that can build your confidence again.
4. Always remember that you are not perfect. Don't condemn yourself. That you are passing through this problem shows that you are determined to win and your destiny is special. Mistakes and failures or losses are temporary. Forgive yourself and move on.
5. Exercise regularly. Walk in the sunshine. Leave the dark. Leave your bed. Studies have shown that regular exercise can be an effective therapy for depression. Do some housework. Cut the grass, etc.
6. Seek for medical help if necessary. See a qualified medical professional if the feeling of depression persists.
7. Go and see a man of God for a total deliverance check-up. Depression can be a sign of bondage. Prayer is a key that unlocks unbelievable doors. Interact now with Shary Barr: "Expecting life to treat you well because you are a good person is like expecting an angry bull not to charge because you are a vegetarian." Just as David encouraged himself in the Lord in today's 1st scripture, do the same BY FORCE. Encourage yourself daily and put your enemy to shame! Pray now!

TOPIC: IT WAS NOT JULIUS BERGER! HOLD ON!
BASIC SCRIPTURE:
EXODUS 14: 15-25
A mother asked her child what he learnt at the Sunday School session in church. The child's prompt reply was, "The story about the children of Israel and the Red Sea" and he paused. His mother inquired, "What happened?" The child replied, "When the children of Israel got to the Red Sea, Julius Berger (An international construction company) constructed a bridge for them to cross over." His mother said , "No, No, I don't believe that." The boy immediately replied, "If you don't believe this, then you can't believe what our teacher told us." Truly, you can't blame the little boy! How could he comprehend the fact that a dreaded sea like the historic Red Sea could part for people to walk in between on dry land? But as incredible as it sounds, it actually happened! To the human understanding, it is just not possible, but read what Jesus said boldly said in Luke 18:27: "The things which are impossible with men are possible with God." That same power of possibilities is given to is if we have faith in God. Matthew 17:20 declares: "If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove and nothing shall be impossible unto you." Let us not behave like this child in today's write up; we must take God by His Word, no matter how incredible it sounds to our human minds. His thoughts are not our thoughts, His ways are not our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9)! As the year 2016 ends, trust God afresh. Delay is not denial! Your expectations for the year can and will still manifest! God has not finished with you yet! Refuse to allow depression or deceit of the devil! Never forget: "If you have the will to win, you have achieved half of your success; if you don't, you have achieved half of your failure." Jehovah God and not Julius Berger parted the Red Sea and He will visit the foundation of your challenge! Wait on Him! Shame will never locate your address! Hold on! Hold out!

TOPIC: UNBELIEF: THE POISON OF GREAT STARS!

Welcome to today's devotional encounter with He that has the majestic 7 eyes and from whom nothing is hidden! He is the only one that can see up and down at the same time! He is so mighty! He is higher than the heavens and deeper than the depth of the grave! He is the Judge of judges! Mighty in wonders! Immortal! Yes, He is the Redeemer from ages past! He is the STAR of stars, the STAR of our hope and the STAR of our night. Oh, before we continue today's devotional, lift up your hands and begin to worship your great Creator now! Today's second scripture says that there is nothing impossible with this God. No matter how this year has been, no matter how your life's journey has been twisted, determine never to give up or doubt this God. Unbelief wants to clog your soul and reduce it to nothingness. Unbelief causes men to shrink, when heaven says,"enlarge." Unbelief makes a man stingy and hoarding when God says; "expand son, and scatter abroad."
Unbelief sees mountains of difficulties and impossibilities when God says; "advance and possess the land." Unbelief make a man to tremble with fear within and without- fear of the cloud and wind, fear of shadows and fear of the future, when God says, "take hold of your future today by faith and plunge it boldly into My hands." Unbelief makes a man's heart to be narrow, hollow and shallow... It battles with God and His personality. Unbelief can be pious but definitely not holy. It can pretend to be humble but it is merely hollow and horrified. Unbelief sees God as a man who is limited; who needs to be careful lest he exhausts His limited resources. Unbelief anticipates failure! It anticipates hindrances! It melts and decomposes the heart and demolishes men and makes them wander about in their thoughts and consequently all through their lifetime! All the mountains have stood where they are over the years, satan has held up territories; men have remained in perpetual bondage because of unbelief. Unbelief blocked the disciples from spiritual progress (today's 1st scripture: Matthew 17:20). Bury fear and unbelief! Trust God! Close with Robert Ingero: "The greatest test of courage on earth is to beat defeat and delay without losing heart!" I prophesy: "Very soon, heaven will honour you publicly in Jesus name." Hold on!

TOPIC: YOUR TESTIMONY IS NOT IN SHALLOW WATERS!
BASIC SCRIPTURE:
LUKE 5: 1-11
Welcome! When you go after your heart's dreams, vision and goals, life will test you to see how badly you really want them! Every dream, plan or vision must be tested! There is a phase of trials or testing for every dream. As 2016 runs ahead with some DELAYED EXPECTATIONS, you must know that: sometimes, your TESTIMONY is not IN SHALLOW WATERS! That was why the Lord told Peter in today's scripture verse 4: "Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught." Note the word: "DEEP!" So Peter's testimony was not in SHALLOW WATERS! He needed to launch into THE DEEP to locate his testimony! Do you also know that, God will not show up most times until the battles confronting you have become very DEEP to locate His testimony! Do you also know that the more you pray and wait on the LORD, the DEEPER and HOTTER the battle becomes, you must determine NEVER to quit! Why does God show up sometimes only after the best wine has finished? Why does He WAIT till when the world starts asking you: "Where is your God?" The Lord has chosen to WAIT till when the battle seems DEEP and HOPELESS because of 5 reasons:
1. He does not want you to receive the glory!
2. He does not want any man to boast that he/she made it come through for you. In that DEEP and HOPELESS session of your battles, most of your friends would have abandoned and left you. The Lord is glad about that. When the battle is hottest, you will know who your true friends are! Most of your friends will only stay in your SHALLOW WATERS but never in your DEEP WATERS!
3. He wants to mould your character so that no breakthrough will send you to hell.
4. He wants you to LOOK UP to Him and Him alone!
5. He wants to know how committed you are to that goal! If you are willing to make a strong commitment to your dream and you decide to meet all challenges with a determined attitude, then life and problems must allow you passage to your Promised Land. Oh, drink from the golden pen of Johann Goethe: "Until one is committed, there is hesitance, the chance to draw back." That is not your portion! You are the next in line for a worldwide testimony because: Impossibilities vanish when a man and his God confront a mountain. Resist discouragement! Hold on and you will taste honey out of the Rock this quarter!

TOPIC: HE WAS REJECTED: NEVER STOP DREAMING!

GENESIS 40: 12-23
Oh yes, he is one of the greatest basketball players this generation has ever known. When he was asked how he grew into a star, he said that when he was in secondary school, he was shamefully fired from the college basketball team because he was not good enough. He went home and cried! After crying, he began to dream! He wanted to prove to the coach that he had made a mistake. He began to develop his imagination and mental picture of what he wanted to become! He said his thoughts began to grow. Then he started playing in smaller courts. His skill and fame began to spread. The coach included him again in the main team and from then on, he grew and grew in skill till he became so famous that he now wines and dines with presidents of nations. No matter how bad this year 2016 has been, it is not too late or too early to start dreaming of new and better things for the weeks/years ahead! Remember that it is 2016 that is finishing and not your life! The Lord just told me to remind you that He has not finished with you yet and his thoughts ahead for you are MASSIVE and AWESOME! Was Michael Jordan above not counted as a failure? Learn from your weak points; mistakes and failures of this year and start planning for a better next year- your year of GREAT EVEIDENCE! Claim it but never stop dreaming! To be great in life, keep seeing what you want to be. Your January expectations can still manifest. Joseph was not forgotten- Genesis 40:23. Plant your dreams deep, water them daily with your positive declarations and don't allow weeds of dust, confusion or depression to choke it. Mr. Benjamin Disraeli said: " The secret of success is constancy in purpose." Then T.T. Munger further proclaimed: "There is no road to success but through a strong clear purpose." Dreamers built Venice, the most beautiful city on hearth today! Do not stop dreaming! Start preparing for 2017! Cherish your dreams and try to make them real! I see you at the top with astonishing greatness! Amen!

TOPIC: THE RUSSIAN CRASH:
ESCAPE FROM A MISTAKE!
BASIC SCRIPTURE:
ISAIAH 9: 1-8
The news filtered around the world like a cruel tornado seeking into town in the cover of an innocent night: 52 KIDS KILLED IN A RUSSIAN PLANE CRASH AFTER COLLIDING WITH ANOTHER PLANE MID-AIR. The media giants CNN, BBC, VIA, amplified this horror for days. What really happened? How did it happen? What went wrong? Questions rose in the heart of every concerned mortal around the globe. Later, details began to emerge. The seven year-old aircraft left Moscow for Barcelona, Spain after an all maintenance check and the pilot, Alexander Gross, was described as a man of great experience who had served on international routes for 10 years. The likely explanation given for the collision was simply "HUMAN ERROR" of the air traffic controller on duty at the control tower, at Zurich Airport. The air controller radioed the Russian plane to reduce altitude (height) to avoid another incoming plane belonging to DHL. Mistakenly, the DHL plane was not informed about the Russian plane. The plan was to separate the two planes at a vertical speed of 1,000 feet apart. But before the Russian plane could dive, both planes collided when they flew into each other in what has been described as the worst air accident in German history. Imagine this: 52 innocent kids on a holiday mission were sent to early eternal rest by the error or mistake of a man. As 2016 runs to an end, let's pause to reinforce our trust, confidence and faith in the ONE AND ONLY ONE that is beyond errors: Jehovah God. His guidance is perfect. His counsel is sure! Don't rush ahead of Him. He is beyond error and can lead you daily. Ask him questions and listen. He speaks. Nobody has ever counseled Him (Romans 11:34, Isaiah 40:13). Refuse the counsel of Pharaoh. As the year ends, take no decision this year without a prayer. The one called the WONDERFUL COUNSELOR is there for you always. Seek divine direction daily. You are never your best till you are in the center of His will. Don't take a casual approach to life. Casualness leads to casualties.

TOPIC: MEDICAL ERROR:
JUMP THAT TRAP!

1 CORINTHIANS 1: 19-25
A medical report shows that every year, there are more than a million errors or mistakes and accidents in hospitals in Britain alone - a very developed country. Let's consider some cases and the conditions: Years ago, a woman called Debra Law aged 29, died after a trainee anesthetist pumped oxygen into her stomach instead of her lungs, during a routine operation at Glasgow's Southern General Hospital. The anesthetist was seriously criticized, but the deed had been done. Also, Courtney Allen, a young lady, was starved of oxygen before her birth at the Lister Hospital in Stevenage due to a delay in carrying out the C/S operation on her mother. She was born paralyzed. The hospital paid her £3 million as compensation after a court case. Still, Najiyah Hussien, a three year-old baby, died after he was rushed to a London hospital because doctors mistakenly gave him Nitrous Oxide (laughing gas) instead of oxygen. The child suffered convulsions! In fact in the US, medical errors are the third leasing causes of death. Lots of other stories abound, but the emphasis today is that God made foolish the wisdom of this world (vs. 20 of today's scripture). In fact, that same verse asked, "Where is the wise?" There are times when only a word from God is enough. Isaiah 9:8 says: "The Lord sent a word (not words) into Jacob and it hath lighted upon Israel." Expect God to lead you from every end-of-year trap and error. The best of human counsel in the end is vanity. Mistakes, errors and humanity are triplets! The best doctor, engineer, politician, pilot, pharmacist or whatever, are prone to deadly mistakes. Your brain or any other human brain is prone to mistakes! You can watch life pass on or you can make it count. The choice is yours!

A 14 year-old girl stunned a group of prayer warriors in a church at Abak Local Government Area of Akwa-Ibom State of Nigeria when she disrupted a special prayer session to confess that she was a high class witch! The girl said her 'master' who took her from her village to Port Harcourt as a house help, initiated her into witchcraft. The initiation took place via a meal of rice and stew and after innocently eating her normal dinner, she went to bed only to find herself in the midst of people, celebrating and feasting! She said that when she looked around the crowd, she saw her 'master' seated on a throne surrounded by aides some of whom were fanning him. On enquiry, she said that she was bluntly told that she was in the midst of witches and wizards and that she has just been initiated into the cult! Since then, she said she had donated (killed) five of her relatives to renew their blood covenant! To Tue glory of God however, she is now fully delivered! The emphasis of the holy ghost to a user of this devotional today is: As witches and wizards and satanic powers are struggling daily to win souls to populate hell, you must determine to allow God use you to snatch souls from the fire of eternal hell! Why should a new church start with half of the former church members, through fighting and quarrelling? Why can't the new church start with fresh souls? Why are we circulating believers? The devil is a liar! You are a watchman! Let God use your money! Let God use your prayers! Let God use your talent! Rise out of your laxity and false comfort of vanity and become an aggressive soul winner! If you sit in church alone for years and enjoy your beautiful church choir and church groups on Sundays, God will require the blood of sinners from your hands! What percentage of your country's population is truly born again? Help your pastor to start a new outstation parish if God permits! Never allow a day or a week to passes without talking to a soul about heaven! Witches use food to initiate souls! We use the fire of the Word and prayers! This is the time to act! Mr. G. He was born for this purpose! Because of those nail prints, no weapon that is fashioned against you or your family shall prosper! Because of those nail prints, He will supply all your needs according to your riches in glory! Because of those nail prints, engraved in His Hands for eternity, there shall no evil befall you; neither shall any plague come near your dwelling place! Determine to reciprocate that love by setting your love upon Him daily. He will deliver you and set you on high! Some people search for a fountain that promises everlasting youth! Some people need six dozen roses and that is the only to prove you love them. Some seek the world on a silver platter, all to be theirs alone! But what good would it be, with no one to share it with? Some people want it all and daily, like the rush of a mad bull, they pursue the euphoric daily bread! But you, as a child of divinity, must sing daily to your Lover and Maker. "The greatest thing in all my life is loving You." Yes, as the legitimate pursuit of the needed daily bread goes on, never forget to give a thought to the fact that this world is a celebration of vanity: EVERYTHING MEANS NOTHING! As 2016 comes to an end, see Ecclesiastes 2:17 now! Therefore, determine to love Jesus more and more than ever before! Let Him be your daily desire! Increase your daily prayer time of private fellowship with Him! Increase your daily quiet time spent with His Word- The Bible! Behold His love and that Problem, delay or trial would be a shadow! In all your seeking, seek God the more and never forget that life is a celebration of vanity because everything means nothing! I just heard the Lord speak to me that something great is about to happen concerning you. Pray now!

Years ago. Elbert Hubbard said: "Don't take life too seriously. You will never get out of it alive." Life is full of daily stress but you must realize that you have no alternative to winning the battles of life. Read today's 1st scripture Vs. 34 again. No matter how this year has been, I stand as your prophet to declare that you must win! Bit to win, never forget that the joy of the Lord is your strength (Neh 8:10). If the devil can shoot you with arrows of self-pity and depression, then he has defeated you by over 80%. Refuse to loose your joy as the year ends, no matter what the old serpent may scheme or plan.
Note this: "Happiness is not found anywhere, it is created; don't wait for it to come and visit you. Get it!"
The word says, "Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say, rejoice" (Phil 4:4). That means, walking in joy is a COMMAND and not an option based on the circumsatnces around you. The Word says further, "There is a time to laugh" (Ecclesiastes 3:4). Form a daily habit of humour (making others laugh) as the year ends. You will attract new GRACE by it. Who wants to be around a sad and moody person? Laughter will open new doors for you. It will attract new friends from afar off. A person of humour, often make friends easily. Be that person! You were created to create! Create Joy around your world today and daily! Take time of your busy schedule and have laughter and fun! Touch your spouse and children with laughter, don't be the next sadistic and dreaded Goliath! Laughter is a spirit and it is infectious. So is sorrow. Proverbs 17:33 declares that, "a merry heart doeth good like medicine." Be a jolly fellow to be with. Reach out and touch your family, church members and pastors this week. You don't have two lives. Use the beat of this one life. Arise and declare to the devil that he cannot steal your laughter/joy again. Return his properties called DEPRESSION and SELF-PITY. Deliberately create laughter! It is a winning key to life's battles!

It was Williams S. Pollack, a notable clinical psychologist, who noted that under influence of the entertainment industry, many young people, "are spending countless hours dieting, pumping iron (drugs) and doing aerobic exercises all in an effort to transform the shape of their bodies." Some are even going to dangerous extremes, such as starving themselves, in order to achieve the "perfect" body. "Yet", says the Social Issues Research Centre, " The current media ideal for women is less than 5% of the female population- and that's even in terms of weight and size only. If you really want the ideal body, it's probably about 1% despite all the effort ". Do you know too that women all over the world including Africa, are now spending millions just to effect breast surgery? For what and for whom? Vanity satisfaction in a vanity generation! The Bible was on key in today's second scripture vs 7: " Exercise yourself rather to godliness." See the 1st scripture vs 2: "And be not conformed to this world; but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind..." If people are spending so much time, resources and energy to build the physical outer body, how much attention ought you to give to building your spiritual inner man? Looking good is not bad, but in the spiritual battles of life, your physical size or shape does not matter. As 2016 ends, develop your inner man through fasting and prayer, disciplined, daily Bible study and maintaining a clear conscience before man and God. Physical exercise can sometimes be painful and demanding, yet the Word says it's profitable a little. Spiritual exercise is much more profitable! Refuse to be lazy! Build your inner man for victory in the battles ahead as this year ends and 2017 begins. Never expect something for nothing, pay the price and a great testimony of uncommon victory awaits you.

Years ago, terrorists used a cell phone to trigger off a bomb at a Jerusalem university that killed five Americans and two Israelis: it was a shock that threw the world into technological panic! Investigations revealed that there was a connection between the cell phone and the bomb locates in the university. Yes, there was a device (another cell phone) in the bomb. A cell phone in a bomb? Indeed and it was the sound of the ringing phone that triggered the elements of the bomb with a deadly result. The Holy Ghost emphasis in today's devotional is: just like that bomb was carrying a phone which became the point of contact between it and the terrorist, so if the devil has anything he can call in you that will answer to his authority, he will get you really wounded as this year ends and a new one begins. Don't Forget That The Biggest Terrorist On Planet Earth Is That Old Fool Called Lucifer The Devil! Therefore, today's heavenly alarm is, "Disconnect! Disconnect!! Disconnect!!!" Every Satanic habit or secret sin or habit of temper or whatever, belonging to the devil still operating in your life, must be disconnected to prevent a deadly end. Saul refused to let the Amalekites go totally. He kept their sheep and oxen and it destroyed his ministry and life. What are the sheep and goats (properties) of the enemy that you are keeping? I call them 'satanic points of contact.' Man may not see them but heaven does. Clean up today and let go! "The prince of this world cometh, but he has NOTHING in me" -John 14:30. Let the Amalekites go completely. Live holy, clean, and with a clear conscience as this year ends. Don't be your own enemy! Refuse to allow sin or any property of the enemy dwell in your temple. Please read the Basic Scriptures twice today. "Why me Lord? How long am I going to live with this? Lord, why have You forgotten me?" These and many more are the questions that so often like venom, pour out of our bowels when in a crisis situation. The singular wisdom in going through life is to trust God that He has the best of plans for this your one life on this earth.
As 2016 crawls to its end, accept what you can understand and trust God for the Inexplicable (what you cannot understand). Stop reducing your life span through worry and foolish questions. Relax in God for things you cannot just explain but are happening, despite all your holiness, prayers and fasting programmes. Live in praise daily even in difficulties! There is a plan behind the scenes for you and soon it shall be revealed. It's not wisdom to question, for it has poisoned the mighty. Accept the mysteries of life! Accept the inexplicable! Stop asking 'how', 'when' and 'why'? Accept the riddles without answers, because they lie beyond your reach. Accept the miracle of life, the grand work of the unseen Hand. Waste no time in questioning, but in humility think and be thankful. Observe the little mercies of creation, the good and the beautiful, while you still have the light to see, before the inevitable night season comes. The Word says, "that which is far off and exceedingly deep, who can find out?" (Ecc. 7:24). It also declares, "Say not what is the reason (cause) that the former days were better" (Ecc. 7 vs 10). It means: Stop questioning!
Oh, praise God for today, your past and your tomorrow. Do all you know to do and leave the rest to the all-knowing and all-loving Father Gid-Jehovah. The great George Mueller penned: "The beginning of anxiety is the end of faith and the beginning of true faith is the end of anxiety." Pray now!

I knelt to pray but not for long,
I had too much to do as the year ends.
I had to hurry and get to work,
For bills would soon be due.
So I knelt and said a hurry prayer,
And jumped up off my knees.
My Christian duty was now done,
My soul could now rest at ease.
All day long I had no time,
To spread a word of cheer.
No time to speak of Christ to friends,
They'd laugh at me I'd fear.
2016 ending! No time, no time, too much to do,
That was my constant cry,
But at the last time, the time to die.
I went before the Lord,

God looked into His Book and said,

This is the last day of 2016! Thank God you are alive! End of the year has temptation baggages to push you into hurry, worry and procrastination! This is the season when so many souls postpone prayers, Bible Studies, soul winning, etc. Note vs. 2 of our 1st Basic Scripture: "Be instant in preaching the Word" (Paraphrased). Note the word: "INSTANT." It means "Do Not Postpone Crucial Issues Relating to your Soul! Develop a personal END-OF-YEAR MANTRA of " Do It Now." Yes, don't postpone sacred duties of prayers, Bible studies, etc no matter what! Do them by force! If God had no time to bless you, no time to prosper you or assuming as you are reading today's devotional write-up, your name is not yet in the Book of Life because God had been too busy to write it down since the day you got Born Again, how will your destiny end?" Please as 2016 ends, BE INSTANT in all you do! Reject depression or regrets! 2017 will be better and it is coming with an EVIDENCE that will wipe away every shame! Pray now!

This is that year when debate and argument about whether you serve a living God or not will end. Ah! There shall be EVIDENCE! Note that though the first born of all the Egyptians were killed just before the Jews left Egypt, Pharaoh was still able to launch a counter attack. He was defeated but not crushed. Our 2nd Basic Scripture says: "It shall come to pass, when they make a long blast with the ram's horn, and when you hear the sound of the trumpet, that all the people shall shout with a great shout; then the wall of the city will fall down FLAT: And the people shall go up every man straight before him"(NKJV). The emphasis is that the wall fell down FLAT. Oh! I love that word " FLAT"! The wall did not just fall, but it fell down FLAT. That means it fell in a way that God's people were able to MARCH ON IT and MARCH THROUGH IT! Whatever you march on and march through is your EVIDENCE! And in this year 2017, WALLS (obstacles) confronting your destiny shall fall down FLAT and shall not rise again. Indeed, affliction shall not rise the second time (Nahum 1:12). Oh! Welcome to Day 3 of this New Year! It is a special Tuesday which I am led to call: "LOVE YOURSELF TUESDAY!" See what the Lord said in vs 31 of today's scripture: "Love your neighbour as yourself." The emphasis is not on your neighbour, bit on yourself! Loving yourself, forgiving yourself and believing in yourself is the crux (foundation) of the second greatest commandment! Do you know it is a sin when you underrate, pity, hate or compare yourself to others? Yes, it's a sin because it is against the second greatest commandment. Truth is, we so unto others as we do unto ourselves. We hate others when we hate ourselves. We are tolerant towards others when we tolerate ourselves. We are prone to sacrifice others when we are ready to sacrifice ourselves. Start the year by loving yourself on this first Tuesday of 2017! Take back your self-confidence today!
Hear Jessamyn West: "It is very easy to forgive others their mistakes; it takes more grit and gumption (common sense) to forgive them for having witnessed your own." Lance Armstrong had become a top swimmer and a triathlete during his teenage years. Within a year or so, he had competed in the Junior World Championships in Moscow. Sadly, on October 2, 1996, Lance was dealt a crushing blow when he was diagnosed with testicular cancer. The cancer had also spread to his lung and his brain. Bit don't forget that in 1999, the world wit witnessed the greatest comeback in sports history as Lance Armstrong won the Tour de France, the most grueling sporting event in the world, a three-week bicycle race of more than 2,200 miles through the most rugged mountains in France, Italy and Spain. Yes, a man diagnosed to die by doctors bounced back through determination/hope to affect his generation for good! Note that no matter how your past or present has been, or his discouraged you are, you can still bounce back to your dreams! Even if you are spiritually dry/backsliding, make today your comeback date! Hear Thomas Carlyle: "Permanence, Perseverance and Persistence in spite of all obstacles, discouragements and impossibilities: It is this, that in all things distinguishes the strong soul from the weak." Every setback is a set up for a comeback! God wants to bring you out better than you were before! The devil would tell you that it is too late, that God has forgotten you because he fears a comeback! Resist him! Return to the church again! David bounced back! Elisha and Job bounced back! I, Dr Chris, bounced back and you too must bounce back! Lance has established the Armstrong Foundation, an organization devoted to helping people to survive cancer. Hold on to God. You will laugh because this is your year of uncommon evidence! I see restoration! I see whatever you have lost coming back into your hands in your EVIDENCE PACKAGE! It is never too late to be what you might have been. Your past setback was God digging your root deeper because when the root is deep, there is no need to fear the wind.

I remembered years ago when Israel recalled its ambassador to El Salvador after he was found naked, bound and drunk. The long time diplomat, Tsuriel Raphael, was found by El Salvadorian police naked, gagged with a ball and bound in his residence. He was recalled back to Israel IMMEDIATELY by the Israeli government for bringing disgrace and shame to them.
Ah! As human governments recall ambassadors that are bringing shame to them, don't you think that the Lord of lords, deserves more and He can do much more? Have you forgotten that you are an ambassador of the Lord on this planet? Have you also forgotten that heaven has the ability to recall you? When a child of God is alive but no more enjoying an open heaven, then his/her ambassadorial license has been withdrawn. You might still be on the altar without heavenly recognition. Was Saul not retired while he was still on the throne? Was Eli not performing his priestly duties when God bypassed him to talk to Samuel? The great pain was that God started showing another person things that pertained to him-Eli. Do you know that it is possible to manifest some gifts of the Holy Ghost and yet be a stranger to heaven? As 2017 begins, your daily prayer must be, "Lord, do not recall me home. Show me your mercy one more time." Determine to cut off anything in your life/ministry that can bring reproach to the name of your Government so that you can pass through 2017 in purity and power! Close with Robert Greene: "The oak tree that resists the wind, loses its branches one by one and with nothing left to protect it, the trunk finally snaps. The oak tree that bends lives longer; its trunk growing wider, its roots deeper and more tenacious." Is it not better to bend and live longer? Is it not better to be holy and live wholly? Wholly means complete! This is your year, you shall not be recalled! Pray now!

Something weird happened years ago when a man who bought a seaside new house in Spain without seeing it, found the mummified (embalmed) body if the previous owner inside. Jordi Giro bought the flat in the Costa Brava resort of Rosa's at an auction. He told the police that he was shocked on going inside the flat for the first time, to find her body sitting on the sofa. It seemed that the former owner- Maria Luisa Zamora failed to keep up payment on her mortgage because she had actually died in 2001. Experts believed that the salty sea air had preserved the body. Mystery of mysteries indeed! Bit do you know that many believers are just like that newly purchased house? When the Lord bought you with His blood, He was not expecting to meet any property of the former owner- The Devil. Yes, He got you Born Again for His sole pleasure (Today's 2nd scripture). How can He stay in the same house with adultery, lying, uncontrolled anger, bitterness, malice, pride, laziness to spiritual issues, stealing, fornication, drunkenness, masturbation, visiting sangomas/native doctors, fighting your spouse, etc? No! As 2017 begins, you must ask the devil to pack his load and go because the glory will not fall till the house is clean (See Isaiah 59:1-2).
