Hmm... Many people complaining about the way the story ended. I'll explain everything, including those who happen to be confused in some areas.
Myra left with anger and hate in her heart.
And certainly, she must have been planning her revenge and keeping tabs on them all this while.
When the wedding didnt go down well, she must have been very happy. And then when she got to know that they were taking a DNA test, she knew she had to do something.

Of course she didnt know that they wouldnt have turned out to be siblings, but she just wanted to make sure.

And then with the help of an insider, she was able to find out the results stated Negative. And then she faked a Positive result and had it switched in the Laboratory, tho she was caught escaping the hospital.

As for those saying Nathan shouldnt have died, well, life is never a bed of roses. Shits happens. People go through so much pains and misfortunes.

U havent heard of newly wedded couples dying on a plane crash for their honeymoon.
You havent heard of Brides sleeping on Friday night and not waking up when Saturday happens to be the day of their wedding?
You havent heard of Coupls being murdered in cold blood in their hotel room on their wedding night? What are we not saying?

What happened to Kainene and Nathan is just part of life.
Not everyone has happy endings. I'm just trying to portray real life situations in the story.

He stopped, eyed me and turned to leave. He was in a very foul mood today, i could sense it.

'hello Mabel, any news?' she asked immediately.

I let out a sigh. Deep down, i knew what i told her was a lie. Nathan was capable of doing anything. I didnt know what to believe anymore.

Monday came.
The monday everyone was expecting. The monday when the fate of two souls were going to be sealed.

The doctor stared at everyone of them. They all had a fearful look on their faces.

'who do i hand over this envelope to first?' he asked holding the brown envelope.

Kainene swallowed. She deserved to know first, didnt she?

'i'll do the honours' her father said immediately.

She quickly looked at him, wondering why God ever gave her someone like that as a father.

The doctor handed over the result to him and he opened it. They all stared at his face.

Then suddenly, he started sweating, his palms became shaky and the paper fell from his hands.

Kainene rested her head on Nathan's chest immediately, unable to look at the result.

Mabel picked the result. Then she started crying 'i said it! I knew it! I said it that i knew who was responsible for my pregnancy. I knew Kainene and Nathan were siblings!'

Everything came to a standstill. Even time.

Kainene was the first to run out of the office and i quickly followed her.
As i was running after her, i bumped into someone.

'Nene, stop it, drop the gun' Nathan said. He was obviously terrified.

'there's no point Nath. There's no life without you' She placed her index finger on the trigger.

Nathan knew she was going to do something stupid if he didnt stop her.

He rushed to her immediately in a bid to snatch the gun from her and they started struggling.

'you both should stop it!!!' Mabel screamed.

'its dangerous. Kainene just hand over the gun' Kaka said scared about what might happen.

Then there was a loud sound. A bullet was released.

Then everywhere was quiet. Everyone's eyes were tightly shut.

And when they opened their eyes, it was to see Nathan, clutching his stomach as blood gushed from it.

Kainene held him 'no! Nathan...i'm so sorry. I've every sorry. No! Please dont die, Nathan please dont die!'

Chuks was already making a phone call to his doctor friend.

'lets rush him to the hospital' Kaka spoka hastily at loss for what to do.

Nathan weakly reached for Kainene's hands 'my love' he muttered weakly.

'shh, save your strength, dont say anything' she cried 'dont give up please. I love you. I love you notwithstanding anything. Everyone watched in tears as Nathan's body was taken into the ambulance to be taken to a mortuary. They just couldnt believe what had went down earlier. How their lives turned upside down within a few days. Because of a memory regain.

Chuks' phone rang immediately.

He stepped aside to pick it 'hello doctor?'

'hello sir. A lady with the name Myra Benson has just been caught sneaking out of the laboratory with the results of your tests. Your result was switched sir. The original test results here says you fathered only the girl. You're not the father of the guy. Thats to say, there aint siblings so they are free to be.....' Chuks wasnt listening anymore.

He looked at everyone 'Kainene and Nathan aint siblings'

Inside his one room apartment, bright onuwa is lying face down on his bed covered with an old bedspread that seriously needs to be replaced with a new one. He sighed as he looked around his barely furnished apartment. Saved for the 12 inches television and the now worn out curtains that was given to him by his younger sister when she graduated 5 years ago from the university, and a wall hanger where he neatly handed his clothes, the room was really nothing to write home about. He sighed again, and dragged his small frame from the bed, and reached for his towel and his bucket of water near the door. He is already late for his afternoon shift and segun will definitely be mad.
'abeg make he vex!' to go work today just tire me' he silently grumbled.
20 minutes later he wore his work clothes and set out for the hospital where he works as a mortuary attendant. Yes! He takes care of dead bodies for a living, but who cares! So far he dey receive salary, he can work anywhere.

'oboy you nor dey try oh' I nor tell you say my pikin dey go back school today and I go need to go bank before I reach house make I for give am chop money?' segun accosted him.

Bright flew to the door, and stopped in his tracks,then he slowly came back to the table and observed the figure lying before him. Though bloodied, but very good looking nonetheless and in a flash a finger twitched. That was all bright needed to know the the body before him is still alive but unconscious.
He raced towards the hospital complex a fast a his legs could carry him shouting ' nurse come oh, doctor, nurse!
Les than a minute saw the nurses running out of their station towards the mortuary.
