He thinks we will die if Urhobos reject Biafra

Biafrans invited Urhobos out of love and they are free to accept or reject

I just pity them if they reject Biafra because their case will be worse than Southern Cameroon

If I tell you I'm bothered about all these endless threads,I'm a BIG liar.

Governors did not make statements. Socio-cultural groups made statements. Urhobos made theirs through UPU, Urhobo Progress Union.

And don't put words in my mouth. I never said SS hates Biafra. I made a precise statement about the status of the minorities in the South towards Biafra.

Why don't you guys simply respond to the issues like intellectual beings. Must you always get emotional when confronted with intellectual arguments? Was I tribalistic in my article?

https://www.nairaland.com/2735702/urhobos-denounces-inclusion-proposed-biafran

Yeah right, emergency socio-cultural/political groups who are always tied to the apron strings of politicians is what you want us dwell on.

Didn't the former ohaneze leadership claim 'majority of Igbos don't want Biafra"?
Can anyone put his life at stake for that statement?

And like I've always maintained, we won't partake in any referendum because we didn't request for one. Our status is not in question. We are not divided over where to be.

Of course, you would say you invited us with love. Where was that love when we were embattled with the Itsekiris over ownership of Warri? Where is that love now that Ijaws in Warri South West and Burutu are massacring Urhobos everyday over land?

The love only comes when Biafra is involved?

So you want us to take side and kill Ijaws and Itsekiris for you guys

Guy, Biafrans are not murderers.

You see the third point I raised? You are an embodiment of it!

While I do not speak for any of these groups below, I came across official statements from the groups asking Igbos specifically to respect their wishes and exclude them from Biafra. Every group is entitled to self-determination. The SS minorities certainly have made their stand clear!!!

I don't know of the rest but Urhobo Progress Union was formed in 1927 and has been the mouthpiece of Urhobo nation all through colonialism till date. Our stand is official and accepted by all Urhobos.

By the way, you've still not addressed ANYTHING!

So why the near desperation to have the minorities Southerners in your igbo agenda of biafra?
It's clear that the only thing stopping biafra is your fear of going all alone.

Jonathan is NOT Urhobo. Urhobos hated Jonathan and voted massively against him. We were not moved by the Niger Delta sentiments at all. GEJ did nothing for Urhoboland and he used the Ijaw machinery to cause havoc for us all. So this, in no way, affects Urhobos.

Igbos voting for GEJ was not because of LOVE but of political expediency at the time and out of hatred of the Hausa-Yoruba political project.

The mention of a referendum is laughable at best. Referendum for who? Did we ask for one?

Urhobos are Edoid. I hope Edos are getting a referendum too? Itsekiris are Yoruboid. I hope Yorubas will also vote in the referendum? Ijaw extends to Ondo State, I hope the Apoi Ijaws who speak Yoruba very well will also vote in the said referendum?

Immediately I read 'less than 1% of SS want Biafra" I stopped because I knew the rest of the jargon will have no value.

When you make conclusive statements like that my Professor will ask you to show us verifiable evidence and references obtained from the 'survey' you did to arrive at that conclusion.

If you can't, then you are pulling figures from your anus and intelligent scholars like us see it as academic fraud and we have no business with fraudulent fakes. Good day.

Ironically, the only way to get any proof on the matter would be to conduct a referendum in the region, which is exactly what the pro-Biafra groups are asking for.

Why are they so afraid of a harmless referendum?

I am so disappointed in this statement, what do you mean by Igbos voted GEJ out of hatred for hausa/yoruba?
in democracy, you have the freedom to vote anyone you like. Igbos voted massively for obasanjo and yaradua, was it out of hate too?
why will you criticise Igbos who excersiced their democratical right of voting who they want?
free urself from hatred, no matter how you try to conceal it, it is showing.

What I said is not a lie. Many Igbos voted GEJ simply because the opposite would mean a Hausa president.

That statement has nothing to do with hate whatsoever. In my state, many Urhobos voted for Ogboru and Ortega because the alternative is an Ika-Igbo governor. Was this statement also made as a result of Urhobo hate?

No one is afraid of a referendum. You can do that in the Igboid territories that are not sure of who they are.

Why do you want Edoid tribes in your nation yet do not want Edo itself?

Why do you want Yoruboid tribes yet do not want Yoruba itself?

It was because in our reckoning, he was a disappointment to the yorubas and doesn't deserve our votes.
Most Yorubas will vote against Buhari too if they view him as a disappointment.
No hard feeling, but cold political realities.
So, it not because you love Ijaws that you voted for him, not because we love the Hausa/Fulani that we voted for one of their own but political realities.

So I will throw your question back to you, did you vote for GEJ because of your love for Ijaws?

IPOB is asking for a referendum and they have members from some non-Igbo regions in the South-South. Other groups such as the Lower Niger Congress, a body that represents the South-East and the South-South, have also asked for one in the past.

Encouraging what your kin are doing through deliberate silence muddles your anti-IPOB stance and reveals you as an Igbo supremacist.

I don't want any of you guys to join our country as I feel that that would inhibit us from being successful. I just acknowledge that some people from those ethnicities do want to join us and some want to have their own country so they deserve to have their say in a referendum. I believe that these people should be given three choices in the referendum: join the Igbos, create their own nation or stay with Nigeria.
