Ever since Oritsejafor took leadershop of CAN, CAN has been a political joke.

What has Arabic studies got to do with Islam? If need be Hebrew should be introduced into school curriculum.

What a baseless and void assumption!

Basless indeed.

Why not say for instance, that the alternative being CRK and all muslim student forced to take CRK and where they refuse they should be mercilessly wiped like the boy in Kwara State.

If it sits well with the Islamic caliphate then it is all well.

Baseless indeed.

A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump. Galatians 5:9.

Even FG knows that we christians won't accept it

Until we stop complaining and start acting, these people will continue to have their way

Rather than focus on educating the numerous children / almajiris begging all over the place, it is how to introduce arabic their brains can think about. No wonder the region is where it is.

Education -- > Zero

Indoctrination -- > 100.

Result = Boko Haram

And the region where you focus on education, what do you get out of it;

Prostitution, armed robbery, human rituals, drug trafficking, human trafficking, 419 etc.

Na wa oo, CAN is always complaining, Probably it's for those religion bigostic in the SE and Core North because I could remember my days back in secondary School, we divide the class to two for IRS/CRS class.

Back then in Umunneochi in Abia state, any time we are preparing for solat passerby will open their mouth and locked their leg just to witness what we are doing and I blame them not because it's only Christianity they were exposed to unlike in Southwest where you will see both sleeping in the same room.

Why can't we be trying to improve the science and math studies, African history, philosophy, introductory psychology, ethics studies, etc, instead of introducing and re-introducing and fighting over more of the same toxic shit religions from the stone age middle East ?
I mean, talk about Nigerians being permanently brain-fxxed undecided

This is the reason we don't think well.
Our brains are suffused, no, suffocated with too much poo from Middle East stone age poo religions.
As a man thinketh, so he acts.
A curriculum,f or example, on African Traditional Philosophies would do so much good to the psyche of the Nation.

Arabic and French are languages, is crk a language?

Why must you concern yourselves with what is none of your biz for God's sake?

So rather than calling for the recruitment of crk teachers (assuming the allegation is even true), the way out is to remove Arabic studies? Wtf.

Trying very hard to be clever by half!!! How is ISLAMIC arabic studies the same thing as arabic language?

No introduction of Spanish, German, Chinese or other languages but 'ISLAMIC' ARABIC. They might as well make Christain Arabic studies another option to choose from!

For those of you that have been mislead by the mischief and intolerance nature of C.A.N.Here are the facts:

1.Arabic studies was introduced as an alternative LANGUAGE to French.Adding Islamic to Arabic is a mere mischief.

Islamic Arabic studies does not not make any meaning.Arabic is the name of the Language of Arabs. Not all Arabs are muslims!!!!!!.

French,Arabic,English,Spanish,German, etc are taught in most developed countries as international languages ,no religious strings are attached.

Arabic especially is taught even in christian dominated countries like England and USA,as a language!

I have a friend who had to enroll for Arabic(not Islamic) studies ,having being seconded to Saudi Arabia,by an international oil company.

2.Both Muslims and Christians are to study Islamic and Christian knowledge, for religious understanding and harmony, under one subject: CIVICs.

The earlier you accept the fact that Arabic language is fast becoming an international language, the better for you.

If your headache is the word Islamic,I can only let you cry alone.

Is any Christian being forced to study Islamic Arabic studies? capital NO!

Enough of all these Nonsense.

A certain minister proposed something then suddenly Islam is the problem of the world? You and those that liked your comment stink of bigotry.

Some peeps like CAN lack mental capabilities. Arabic is a language and it's not just for Muslims. It's the language of the Arabs and there are Christian Arabs. Moreso, Arabic been introduced is similar to other languages like French, English, German been studied. I don't think it's a problem is people are exposed to multi languages are a young age, it makes them diversified. Additionally , they should put more strengths on science and technology right from secondary schools which is the most paramount thing.

Religion has done more harm than good to us .

People like you are the problem of the world but you wouldn't know. Either you study French or Arabic as a foreign language, the choice is yours. Muslims forms the majority of the Nigeria population and if they want Arabic as a foreign language, you can't take it away from them. Christians should go for French language, simple.
But CAN and people like you are ready to twist it as if Islamic Studies have been brought back without CRS. The man even lied that IRS has been brought back, a blatant lie just to attract attention.

It is very wrong for nairaland mods to put this kind of post on the home page especially in this critical time the country is. In a country that is tethering along the lines of religious and ethnic divide, you put a potential religious violence inciting post on the front page of a Forum of Nearly 2 million Nigerians. One the first page of the comments, people have started hurling insults at one another. This is how it all starts

First of all, sorry to point this out to you, CAN and other regrettably ignorant people, IRK and Arabic is not the same. If you really want to fight the implementation, ask them to include Hebrew as an alternative not CRK.

IRK and CRK are religious based, Arabic and Hebrew are languages. It seems nobody can even acknowledge that fact.

I don't know why the people of this country are so intolerant. Most of the time Christians go to schools to distribute bibles to students irrespectibe of their religion but I'm certain if those moves were made by muslims people will start shouting Islamization. undecided

About your statement on Buhari not returning to continue his evils . Fortunately, you aren't God. Plus you are a big hypocrite. What did the bible say about always loving your enemies and praying for them? Very funny. People always love quoting things when it suits their need but never following or doing them. sad
