That's just the plain truth but then, some of these graduates really want to learn a skill or start up some but lack of fund and having no support system, yet they are been saddle with some responsibility.
For some it's just a very tough world and some are just plain lazy and unrealistic.

Yea, I perfectly get ur point; To learn a skill, u need resources [ But not necessarily money, all the times ].

For instance, I wanted to learn computer programming, that could have been at a financial cost, right? I had nothing, but I had the zeal, I picked up a book and withing a couple of months I was set.

There are certain ways we can reduce financial overheads of skills acquisition. Most esp now that the internet is rife with lots of free guides.

If I say come and learn how to make money with crypto currency now.. People will say I'm promoting hyip and a wicked being.

Two years ago I was very broke that I can't even afford to recharge 100bucks on my phone...i con become beggar in my school and my friends always avoid me when they see me coming.....so I start to hustle 24/7 during a long break given to we students... I saw many job offers but peanut pay...highest pay offer na 7k per month. Then I start doing a day job labourer.....so there was a night I was chatting with one of my online friends who introduce ponzi scheme to me...i was interested then I start risking it.. I made profits and loss during those times sha...but I thank God I made little gain...i started participating in MMM last year which double my money...during the mmm period I start learning cryptocurrency trading....i thank God today I have made millions by Risking in ponzi and Trading cryptos. I will advice you to start Doing online biz...im in my early twenties and already making millions in my bedroom..

I dunno if i should do this................. angry Ok at jobless graduates hmmmmm truth be told we all went through school with a wrong mindset ( go to school, grad, get a job and live happily ever after) we were never taught that we are meant to create jobs and be entrepreneurs, hence while we went into theoretical school our less privileged folk went into practical schooling and came out with nothing but skills and I'll tell you this much that's all they needed to come out and employ you to do the book work for them, hence you end up working for the "illiterate". my brother, you can start with anything you have:
My friend an Elec Elec (HND) - Cook
Me Mech Engr (HND) - Laundryman
My sister Acct (BSc) - Fashion
I can go on and on................ all I'm saying is instead of sitting and weeping all day why not look inwards at what you can put ur hands into that can yield profit ? After which we can then add the book knowledge to it............ Make I stop here go attend to Matters arising wink

though it's not really easy. I like your mentality. I regret coming out from this part of the world. tessy.
This part of the world gave birth to some of the most wealthy, and industrious people on planet earth it's not about where you come from but what you can scratch from the ground where you come from.
Sometimes little things makes us appear not serious in life. Look at ur username. Ihebu4chelsea. Mere seeing that name one would mistake you for an unserious fanatic who spends his life watching, arguing and being unnecessary fanatic of Chelsea. Some of you might not know it but ur username, comments and posts give you off in the eyes of potential business minded people.

Life as an unemployed graduate isn't always easy. Sometimes, things get so tough that you begin to wonder if you wronged the gods, somehow.

Most times, your life can be summed up in one word: frustrating.

Your ability to achieve a mental balance gets challenged each day.

As soon as you get a moment to forget the struggles of life, that friend with whom it seemed like you had become partners in the labour market calls in to tell you how he's managed to secure a well-paying job.

"Ahhh. So my own case is the handiwork of my village people, as feared?!"

"But I thought my destiny and EMX's are tied together nah!"

Then you remember, that other members of your clique like Emeka, Roland, Wale, Aliyu, Emike, and Daniella have all secured jobs since the turn of the year.

Immediately, you look up to the sky (or ceiling in most cases; sometimes stepping outside the house may seem like a privilege) and question God in a Balotelli-esque fashion: "why always me?!"

You begin to feel alienated by success. Emotions begin to pour. But regardless of your reaction, that's not an easy question to answer.

Life gets you to suffer humiliation and hardships of being considered not good enough for any job at all. All the questions that went unanswered, the advances that were met with a stern, unwelcoming attitude at different offices... or is it the people debating issues of whether to turn you to an errand boy so you could earn some 200 bucks for recharge card or just leave you be (to suffer in silence). "Imagine! People wey no reach to even lace my shoes before."

On the home front, some of your siblings' chores become your duty. Why? Because you are not much use in the house. For every meal you eat, every time you go to bed, each time you sit idly, parents want you tasked.

Your value continues to drop on a per-second basis. It feels like nobody cares about you for anything. You grow anxious and frustrated with life. Your happiness is about to be taken away from you by unseen forces.

"But this no be the plan we been plan from the start!" Soon after that thought, you see an advert on TV reminding you that life doesn't always go according to plan. Or is it the pastor in Church reminding you that everything in life is God's design? How then am I supposed to relate to God not wanting me to succeed? You begin to question your belief in God. "Is there even a god?!"

But all of that is not you. It's frustration playing out. So many times, you feel like a lost soul in a human body. Trapped and without help. You're not sure when redemption will come, or if it will come at all.

Carefully redesigning a CV that never gets more than a glance. Your life is no longer filled with fun an excitement. Grief, self-pity, and anger are gradually taking over.

"What a sorry soul!" No money for business, no means to learn a skill or two, and no jobs to keep you busy. Life can't get any worse.

But what can you do in all of these?

You continue to reinvent, hoping that someday, your salvation will come. All that 2.1 from a reputable university doesn't feel so important anymore. Set all of that aside, believing that only grace can rescue you now.

This is my life. I am Aeker.

Things are HARD!

Please help a broke soul.

Must you work for someone else?........ Why not start up your own business.

anybody that is completely idle after graduation is lazy, non creative and proud but life is the best teacher.

i also always ask the question to job seekers " what are u doing now" and 95% of them will say nothing but sucking their parents dry can u imagine. i feel like slapping shit out of such ppl esp if they are boys.

there is always something to do if u keep pride aside n humble yourself. go and hustle, stop blaming ur village people

Just Search Deep down inside you, you'd find that One thing that you can do effortlessly. Relate this one thing to a useful purpose why you're here on earth.

Try to go to God in prayers and then seek all necessary knowledge concerning that one thing and develop it continuously. You'd be doing great in no time and will be a boss of your own.

Example, I studied Geology and graduated with a very high 2.1 but I'm naturally an artist. I'm not waiting to start looking for a white collar oil job but I need to develop this art in all diligence. It's not all rosy but I know I'll be great.

Thanks for taking the time to drop this.

Trust me, have met brilliant and bright peeps yet, they find it hard to feed. Life at times is actually a game of gamble where the lucky ones win and d hardworking ones lose

That some people made it through hard work dosent mean others Are lazy... Cheers

Ok. And what is the goal of those online courses? What is your plan? What do u intend to use the knowledge you acquired from thevcourse to do? The course u are taking, is it relevant to your immediate environment. Can it be transformed into a business? Cos many jobless youth i know take online courses just to boost their cv or even simply to while away time as the keep up with their random applications.

Jobs are scarce and the available ones are often out of reach. My advise to u is to look around ur environment and find something u can do to earn income. No matter how small. Just put ur mind to it and forget about applying for random non existent jobs that dont even pay much and have no security

You think the society owes you a well paying job with your zero work experience? LIE!
Some of you reject marketing job, you want to earn fat salaries after school. You think companies pay people for facebooking in the office? LIE!
I took a marketing job after i concluded a masters programme, and now I train those that interviewed me and plenty other wonderful and unbelievable things I can not start writing about here.
Go and start small.
If you understand the GOLD story, you will learn to humble yourself.

I feel no sense of entitlement, sir. I have roamed the streets of Kano and Kaduna seeking teaching jobs and all sorts - all to no avail. I recognise that I have to start from somewhere.

That why thoz people working shld place d unemployed on a monthly stipend, even as small as 5k can change their situation, 'cos they need cash for transportation, internet, & a few things to make them succeed. They shldnt be abandoned to their fate...which may even make them suicidal
