This right here is just the crux of the matter,
people have refused to look at the true definition of feminism, thats why anyone can come and say they are feminists (even when through their actions it's clear they are not) and these people can't call them out, then these people go away and think that's all feminism is, the resultant effect is that anyone who dares utter the words feminism again will be viewed through the same lens and immediately dismissed.

This is why I don't call myself a "feminist". I just identify as an advocate for gender equality. ABSOLUTE gender equality, yes. People should be judged purely based on their ABILITIES. Gender is IRRELEVANT! Women are not "weaker vessels" that need "protection" as far as I'm concerned. We're equal. Oh, maybe the average man is PHYSICALLY stronger than the average woman. But why should physiology count? I've met fellow men who are PHYSICALLY STRONGER THAN ME. But you can't tell by these guys are superior to me, "by nature". You'll have to be mentally ill.

And what is "nature", by the way? Take a trip to the jungle if you want to see how nature handles things, then come back to human society to appreciate the fact that ALL the ideologies, beliefs, and orientations we live by are all MAN MADE, and none is Holy Writ or natural. Most of the people here were attacking MISANDRISTS and HYPOCRITICAL IDIOTS [who claim to be feminists, but ARE they feminists?], thinking they're attacking feminism.
