Even the bible does not believe in equality of men and women, women should be submissive to their husband, I know my right as a woman and I also know that I should be submissive to my husband because he is the head of the house and I know that no matter how much I try to equal to a man, I cannot be, I cannot be a father figure and that is the reason why I dread being a single mother cos no one not even me can fill the void of a father.

Like I said earlier the male gender should endeavor to respect and value the female gender. Removing any form of degradation to the female gender, that's is what I stand for and not some stupid feministic movement.

I am a feminist... I have never understood the concept of a man selling his daughter for a few million naira or quantifying his wife to be's worth to a few miserly property... Scrap bride price, start groom price, doesnt make a difference to me...

Some culture tests physical capability, some test the woman's cooking ability, and the whole bend down to serve your new man thingie...

Stop with the bible nonsense abeg! See, submissiveness in marriage should be a mutual thing. It should imply mutual respect, it should imply you being able to correct your husband when he is going wrong and him accepting your correction. It should imply being able to take a joint decision that would benefit the family! Reason i don't agree with the notion that women must be the one to always submit to their husband is that men are not more intelligent than women and so, they cannot be said to possess the ability to take better decisions than their wives. In other words, men are not all-knowing and incapable of mistakes, hence submission means him being to accept a superior opinion and corrections from his wife for the overall interest of the family, likewise his wife accepting a better opinion and corrections from him. That is why i advocate mutual submission in marriage. Some of you ladies like getting yourselves into trouble with your wrong mindset of "I must submit to every whims of my husband", yet deep into the marriage when the chips are down you start complaining.

Don't bring standard into all these, we all have our roles to play as male gender and female gender. Like I said and I will keep saying I will never reduce my standard for any man or compromise, I know my self worth, and I don't need to be a feminist to know it, most of you that come online to rant about feminism cannot even leave a cheating man or leave an abusive relationship, I don't tolerate cheating in a relationship, neither will I tolerate physical or verbal abuse, I mustn't be a feminist for me to do that. In a relationship, I know I should give my man his respect and he give me my own respect bearing it in mind that we both are not equal, and if that respect is not reciprocated, hell will let loose cos I know I deserve it.

Was waiting for you to explain your social feminism I did gender studies in school and I haven't heard about social feminism, I know about motherism, womanism, Stiwanism etc but social feminism, I just heard it today pls educate me on the term social feminism, is it a new concept?
