Pls your take on fidelity bank, bought @ 3.10

um
- it's on its 3 monthly pull back after a massive rally that started oct last yr
- SP gained over +170% btw Oct - Jan , and closed ard N3.60
- Since then price has closed lower for the past 3 months due to profit taking
- SP is trading above its 3 month low of N2.09 , seems to hv found some support (pref buy area)
- the outlook is still long term bullish while d short term is consolidating pending earnings and all d drama dat comes with it
- d koko of d matter is that ur on d wrong side of d trade and this happens wen we buy too early (im guilty of this too)
- managing a drawdown is another issue or topic rather, wh is where i think ur question is leading to

Real Question
- what do u do , when ur holding is down over -20% ?
a) do u wait
b) do u add to it to avg down
c) do u sell part of it
d) do u sell most of it
e) do u sell all and just move on

My ans is that there is really no ans but tilt towards that wh would make u sleep better wt less headache.

(Note: Also if the DD (drawdown)is greater than 2% of ur capital, then u bought too much, best to reduce first before we approach d above)

Well said. However, I sold my fidelity today at 2.53, I bought 2 weeks ago at 2.49 (no gain, no loss considering charges). I have resolved to wait and see their results before making investment decision on it.

Shareholders of MRS, FO, ETERNA, Mobil etc. take note. Trend will likely continue in a rising oil price environment till the issues around subsidies are tackled once and for all.
