Highly likely;

Your mom's visa will be refused 1000000% because you came here 2 years ago seeking advice on how to successfully circumvent the US law by saying you will be attending a conference for 5 days and 2 years later, your adjusting your status to LPR. Your mom is about to do the same thing, so no sorry your mom will not be issued a visa. Unless you want to make us $160 richer then you are welcome to apply.

Lol!...he tried the same tactics with Canada but they were too smart to not have granted him the visiting visas. Apparently as always, the US visa officers were gullible enough to give him the visiting visa thinking he would go back to complete his schooling in Ukraine as he indicated during his interview.

Definitely your AOS will affect your mum's application.

Those are the risks you take when AOS.

P.S by his previous history I believe He had concluded his degree . He got the visa before his final exams in Ukraine

Sorry to hear about that.
I always said that people on here can only play the guessing game as to why a visa was denied. It could be for any reason including things your transcript doesn't reveal such as your tone of voice, your eyes, your file on the vo's computer, the vo's mood and so on. Remember what vo's have a broad discretion to grant or denied someone visa. Just as anyone can't predict someone chance of getting the visa, I dont think anyone can truly say why yours was denied.

The highlighted responses might have been a number of reasons for the visa denial.

I want to believe that this a family of four to five? The total cost of your trip as a family to visit Disney Worlds in Florida is a joke ...to say the least.

This amount can be reasonable.

I know a family of 4 that spent $3,000 for 7 days at Disneyland.
Furthermore, this transcript doesn't say it is a family of 4 or 5 travelling and doesn't even mention how long they will stay there for.

You are absolutely right with the bolded my guy. The interviewer behind

A family of four for 6gs at disneyland is not enough. How long where you going to stay for?

To give you an insight, a family of 4 at disneyland for just 7 days will set you back at least $4,000 for the resort including hotel accommodation. You have to buy plane tickets, at this time of the year its a bit cheaper but still for the 4 of you its another $5000 at $1250 each to be conservative. I'm sure you will want to eat a lot of McDonalds, KFC and Dominos pizza that will be an average of $60 a day if you're being frugal. For 7 days thats about $420 and the cost of taxis or public transport fares each about $30/week. If you factor in your savings and earnings, this will be a very significant chunk of money.

I would like to say you didn't do too badly with the interview. You were on the path of being issued but the budgeted amount is very questionable as one of our contributors just mentioned couple posts ago.

Again, if you remember well, yesterday the question we asked you about whether you had ever travelled with your family on vacation? Voila!

Lastly, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, guys do your research before going to the embassy. Save yourself the emotional torture of refusal and financial stress by being ill-prepared. Don't take the consuls for fools. These VOs are US citizens and they know their country very well. They know the cost of the average budget hotel, the average restaurant, public transportation and more so holiday resorts etc.

Correct. Just as some people tend to say anything as to why a the visa was denied even though a transcript posted on Nairaland is only a slice of all the facts used by a vo to make a decision.
As I have said earlier, anything anyone can said on here is just speculation. Only the vo knows why the Visa was declined

Oh well, AOS brother's mum will hardly ever get that visa, particularly if his name appears on anywhere and at any stage during that her application.

My Disney World family, your budget didn't cut it. Most likely too, your communication during the interview could have sent some message, even for as little as not saying things from your mouth just as stated in the DS160 form you signed off.... Going by people transcript on this site, immediately the VO discovers You See pregnant and You ate either going for honeymoon/vacation, they sharparly issue the blue paper.

I dont know been having mix feeling all through this evening l.
Will this hamper our chance of getting the visa come February next year?

The adjudication then refusal or issuance of a visa is in law I hope you know that? Most likely not.

The VO has to apply the law for the adjudication to either refuse or issue. Some VOs will dislike someone and don't want to issue them visa but that said person is qualified and must be issued a visa. On the other hand you might be liked by the VO but by law you don't qualify for a visa and you will be refused, sentiments are out of the window.

So if you know the LAW and your visa application is truthful and honest, you are very likely to be issued a visa. And when you get refused, in as much as you get served the 214(B) template, you can ask the VO nicely as to the specifics, most times you will yield the answer from them.

Not true at all. The VO might admire your honesty unlike some that will blatantly lie about the situation.

Nothing in the law states it is illegal to go to the USA to give birth. What is illegal is using taxpayers money for hospital bills (a lot of visitors do). So because of that, they want to make sure you won't be a public charge that you have enough funds to cover medical emergencies. Medical emergencies are so expensive (can run in hundreds of thousands for just something minor) in USA very few people have that financial capability without an insurance.

So make sure you have a super healthy bank statement, if you have correspondences with doctors, hospitals etc include them, ties compelling your return back to nigeria and can convince a very skeptical VO at the interview window because of previous statistics of applicants befitting that profile.

It is a tough ask but it is not impossible. Many a people have successfully applied for visa being pregnant and are issued.
