its not every muslim guy who engages in a polygamous marriage sef. My home tutor that taught me and my younger bro wen we were little at the time he got married he just had only one wife, this man is a very devout muslim but till today he's still married with one wife and two grownup children. Polygamy na stress to a man.

Yes there are many Muslims with just one wife. But if a Muslim man takes a second wife, it is expected because their religion condones it and the wife should have prepared her mind down even though he made sweet promises to her about not taking another wife.

But if i marry a Christian, I am not expecting my husband to take another wife...at all!!

Whenever you see two jobless housewives together, just know that they are either gossiping (most times their husbands and men in general) or planning to do one evil thing or the other now or in the future
Stay on the topic bro, the woman you're referring to, you know nothing about her. She's self employed with people employed under her so say what you know. She's here to educate folks based on her beliefs.

To insult you dey hungry me, but make I cool down talk to you. The woman that's the op is an old face on nairaland. She's very pretty and she's married, she used to be on these boards years ago when she was single, that's how I got to know her so don't imagine that this is her alternative account. She's very gentle and you can see she didn't respond to any insults or provocation because that's her nature. So I hope you understand her point and what has informed her opinion.

In reality all these women making mouth, will stay put!
They think it's easy training and taking care of kids alone ? Then paying house rent join. Them go taya.

I don't have the energy working my mind to a pulp cos of husband, biko.

I grew up having the best of life and I was even the favorite child amongst the young crew in the family. My dad loved me to a fault. My siblings too had rosy life's when our dad was alive. It was indeed rosy.

Every child in my family were trained to university and hnd level. We were all catered for well.

So for me, I ain't going nowhere as long as he still fulfils his responsibilities.

true, but if i find myself in such a situation,i would make the man impotent, then file for a divorce and drain him dry and make sure to get custody of the kids also. life is too short to be sharing a man.

that is why i advise work to work on their marriage till the level that a guy thinks twice before trying such nonsense

I was discussing with a new friend of mine, she is married, calm, kind of shy, but no nonsense lady.
So we were discussing about men and husbands.

She was like she doesn't disturb her mind about her husband tantrums most times and she will just keep quiet while he speaks especially when he's angry but one thing she cannot accept is if he marries another wife. She can end up killing him in his sleep or poison him, and she can't take such.
I looked at her and smiled.
She asked why am I smiling? Don't I know all men are cheats?
I said I know most men are cheats but if my husband cheats on me and marry another woman, I won't even bother myself killing him or fighting him or even fighting his mistress or second wife.
My own is as long as he is still taking care of his responsibilities at home. No wahala. He should make sure the children school fees are paid, house rent is paid, money for upkeep is given to me. Then we can have sex once a week or once in two weeks no problem.

I don't have strength or time fuming or master planing how to teach him a lesson.

She said what? With shock in her eyes

I said babes, I have seen enough about men in life. I have bp issues ( hereditary) , at this level of my life, I need peace and joy. Thank God my body is in a calm and peaceful mode.

As long as my kids are OK and growing well in front of me, he can do what he wants jare but he shouldn't bring any disease home.

My dear, I don't have time watching my man upandan. Have been thru hell and back.. I just want relax and enjoy my hardwork and kids, then enjoy him whenever he is available. Thank God i have friends. Both work and home. So no big deal jare.

Have hang my boots on men and their antics ,jare

Lol

What's your take ladies?

Will u kill your husband or kill his mistress if he marries another woman.

Will u pack your stuffs and go with the kids or leave the kids behind

Will u fight him and cause hell at home.

How will u handle yours?

smiley
I don't wish any good woman to share her man with a strange woman...I don't wish a man to fall into the trap of a desperate and strange woman; polygamy never works, NEVER. Killing anyone is not worth destroying your own life and mortgaging your future when you can get a better man to do right by You. Just walk on biko...there are endless possibilities out there; there's a man for every woman and a woman for every man who's worthy of you.Shioor, love no be by force oh...it's just a complex thing, lack of healthy self esteem to want to kill another person for their choice...maybe there are other things that may factor as betrayal etc...it still is not worth it.Life is too beautiful, if we all were to take into account all the wrongs done us, we will just go about popping everybody.

Re: Ladies, What's Your Take On It by Nobody: 6:37pm On Oct 30, 2018
Now to answer the question, cheating should not be condoned but it is very easy for a person who has such tendencies to do so. Even if the woman is wealthier, a man with the tendency to cheat will do so. During the era of Diego&Paloma on AIT, my flatmate invited a babe from Babylon hostel and they kpanshed. His girlfriend came from Abuja unannounced and she knocked the door, no answer, so she went to out of the compound and round to the window of the bed room.

She could hear the sounds of 2 adults getting down and she just waited, she tried calling his number to confirm if he was the one in the room, but luckily for him, his phone was off and I had gone to a party and I returned at past 7.

Babe now said if I was a true friend I should tell my friend the truth that he was the one in the room, and he had told her Shaggy's line "it wasn't him". That was Friday night. On Saturday night the chick got mad and she slapped my guy, my guy slapped her in return, in anger she was looking for an item to strike him, when she found the iron, my guy don run comot jump fence when she burst out of the room and into the compound she still walked to the gate before she returned and began to cry. Na im I begin dey beg her o, so she could calm down. Last last she smoked a cigarette before she could calm down.

Now imagine my friend didn't run, she would have hit him with the iron and hurt him, and they weren't even married. Now the guy's sisters never liked the babe, what would they say if she had injured their brother? It would become a serious case.

Both went their separate ways a few years later. So in my opinion if push comes to shove there's no need for violence, just leave instead of doing something you will later regret. It's not everyone who can stand sharing their partner but some can because of their temperament. We all have different temperaments, we need to understand the temperament of the person we want to marry before we do so.

For instance a sanguine guy would use his temperament to woo as many girls as possible and he believes it is an achievement, without realising that he was just expressing his personality and the women opened up because he is an extrovert extraordinaire.

all I hear is men cheat, men cheat,
please this cheating that is taking place,
is it men and baboons, or men and standing fan or what?
please, this generalization is overbearing.
and in truth, there are lots of men that do not cheat, I mean thousands of men.

You can hardly hear of the polygamous shitt in Igbo land, full Christian man and someone that abides in God's word won't bother bringing in second wife to add in his home.

Op, becareful what you wish for

Women and your dillusions.
There is nothing "unchristian" about having multiple wives.
Not every Christian need be a deacon.

Polygamy is not wrong. That it has been made to seem that way is just because society in general is easily manipulated by female agenda....especially out here in the west.
