When next you see him, dont be friendly with him.And if says he wants to tell you anything, dont listen....instead say you only listen to what the holy spirit says and not the dead.

What do you understand by the Holy Spirit if I may ask you.

That’s actually the Holy Spirit communicating with him.

So many ignorant comments here. Other than Boss13 and few other commenters, all the posters merely regurgitated the teachings in the Bible and Qur'an that are full of lies, half-truths, and contradictions.

OP, dreaming of dead people is perfectly normal and could even be helpful to you in times of need. It only becomes a problem once you believe whatever any poster or pastor, who sees such happening as evil, says.

Our mind creates our realities. When a pastor tells someone, who sees a dead relative or friend in dreams, that having such dreams will lead to untimely death and such a person believes it and becomes fearful, what the pastor said will become the fate of that person.

We create our realities through our mind, which is an aspect of God and a very powerful tool.

I also dream of dead relatives and have been having such dreams for over 15 years. It's normal.

Dreams are a powerful tool. I have got valuable information in dreams from dead relatives and friends at critical moments in my life, when I had no one but myself.

It's during such times that I realize that we're never alone.

Religions normally encourage adherents to fear death. That's one of the ways pastors, imams, etc. deceive people and put them in check (like sheep that can't reason for themselves), so that they can easily control them.

Death isn't to be feared. It's a natural process that all living things go through and will happen at its own time. Death is birth to a new life. The soul never dies, only the body, which is the vessel or tool that the soul uses to seek experience in physical worlds, die.

Hell and paradise are mere illusions, created by conquerors and slave masters to control ignorant and weak people, sheep who can't reason critically and independently with their God-given brain.

Instead of dreading and fighting demons that don't exist in reality, what anyone that seeks to lead a prosperous and peaceful life should do is to conquer FEAR — fear of anything, be it gods, death, diseases, poverty.

Fear is man's greatest enemy, not demons or satan that only exists in the minds of fearful and superstitious people.

P. S.: No religionist should quote me to say trash.

You are right till the last paragraph. Yes, your mind can play tricks on you and when you are not in sync with your mind, you now have mental issues.

The mind is a powerful master, yet a subservient slave.

What part exactly? where I made reference to evil spirits?

Very well said. That’s why I’m unhappy with pastors spreading lies every Sunday. People do not understand how powerful the mind is.

With our mind, we can create our existence. However, I know in Nigeria, if you don’t have material wealth, Na die matter. On the other hand, material wealth is not good. Even the Bible said that. The consequences of what material wealth will do to you during the purgatory phase, if you know, you will run away from money. Jesus was not mistaken when he said it’s easier for a donkey to pass a needle hole than a rich man to enter the kingdom of God. Not that a rich man won’t enter, but it’s difficult because he would require extra cleansing. Same with sex freaks

Now pastors are saying to gain the kingdom of God you have to pay tithe and seed offering. Do anyone here realizes how wicked that message is.

I did a little bit of physics in secondary school. I didn’t pursue it any further than Physics 101 and 102. We vibrate as Souls. Enclosed around our body is some vibrational Force. Some gifted people can see it or smell it. I can’t but I hope to someday.

If you doubt me. Go close to someone, you can do it now. Try to touch the individual without physically placing your hands, get your hands very close. That individual would feel as if being touched. It is called Ethereal matter.

I've done this before here with an old moniker about two years ago or so but this still persist. What can I do? I'm already thinking of seeing a therapist but I thought I should raise it here again.

This happens at least three nights every week and in recent dreams, I see myself trying to help him achieve a feat.

The irony is that sometimes in the dream, it occurred to me that he was dead but yet I still not cared.

This is 10years now that I lost him in a road accident. Even as teenagers, we were so close that we shared clothes and some people thought we were blood brothers.

I discussed this with his mum sometime ago and she told me she had a feeling her dead son was existing somewhere and that got me thinking. Could this be true?

.

Nope. It isn't true.
Bible says its appointed unto a man to die once and after that, judgment.

The Bible also says there is no relationship between the living and the dead

What is happening is a pure case of demonic deception (familiar spirit at work)./

You need to acknowledge that first, then support the belief with prayers. Then it will go.

And you need to do it fast, else it will progress to physical seeing.

Meanwhile, you ought to explain the dreams you experience with him . thanks

In my first year in uni, I solved a physics problem in my dreams.
After hours of trying to solve it on my reading table, I finally slept off. In my dream, I solved the problem then woke up immediately to implement the solution from my dream and it was very much the solution and perfect.

I think it's simply an indication of the bond you both shared while he was alive. You perhaps still think about him and that's understandable. I've been having a similar experience about a school colleague who passed away late last year. I'm not bothered by it though. I'm only sad about his early death. Might be because of my perception of death.

I don't subscribe to dreading the memories of loved ones once they die. I see death as a debt we all must pay. We are all under a death sentence, only some have to die before others. In the end it makes no difference who died first. Memento Mori.

What is your perception of death? .

First of all, I would like you to calm down. It is not a bad situation or case. Here's what I know about such things:

1. Seeing a dead person in your dreams frequently or at any time does not mean that you are going to die. That only applies if you knew that you were about to die or you died in your dream.
So, once again, I say to you, calm down.

2. Sometimes, God might use your dead friend to illustrate things to you, correct you guide you. So, for instance, if you are not friendly to people, you might see him in your dream being rude to people and you might rebuke him and correct him. It is you that God is correcting because you're the one that had the dream. He, God, used your friend as a prop, an illustration of your character, to correct you by speaking through you.

3. He is dead, so it is certainly not him that you see in your dreams. It is either the Holy Spirit or Jesus Christ appearing in your dead friend's image in our dreams to relate to you. If your late friend's English or native name reflects any of the name of Jesus Christ or God, such as Oluwaseun, Oluwafemi, Emmanuel, Chukwuebuka, Uchechukwu, etc., and he doesn't lead you to sin, or lead you to do evil, or hurt or harm you, or do evil to you, then it is either of them you have been interacting with all these years. Can you state his name for confirmation?

4. It is either that, or, an evil person is using his face to appear to you for diabolical purposes in your life since they know that you two were very close during his lifetime. In this case, he would be doing any of the following: leading you to sin, steal from you, fight you, stop you from getting things done in your dreams, stop you from achieving your (good) goals, etc.

5. For the case you stated about you proposing to his girlfriend on his behalf, that is just you, proposing to your future wife, if you are not married already, which might be likely. He is rep'ing Jesus Christ or the Holy Spirit there, and He laughed sheepishly because you didn't understand what you did. His laughter also showed God's love for you. God showed you that He has given you a wife, so if that is one of your prayer requests, kindly upgrade it to, Father, I thank you for giving me a wife. Please bring it to manifestation in my life physically as you have revealed according to Jeremiah 1:12 and Isaiah 14:24.

5. Pray your marriage out. And He will perfect it according to His will and His own time. You have to be patient with Him and faithful to God if you want the good wife He has given you. It has happened spiritually what is left is the physical manifestation.

6. Pray that you will not miss her even if you don't know who she is now. You will know later.

7. If you are already married, then the dream is not good. Pray and cancel the proposal if she accepted it, with: Isaiah 7:7, Numbers 23:23 and Psalm 33:10.

8. Fear not, tight bond or no tight bond, God is just speaking to you. Sometimes when we go back to our former sin or sins or we are briefly drawn to it, God shows us that state by putting a dead person in our dream. God is saying to you that your old self or old man which you were dead to and are supposed to die to after you got born again is trying to come back/creep back into your life.

9. For spirit of death or death, you might see flies or bees flying around you, or a known or unknown dead body, or an unknown person was killed, or, you dream that you were killed or you died or you saw a deep pit or a hole. Dreaming about dying or being killed in the dream means that that death happened to the person that night, that time, that day, in most cases. It is not just a dream but God telling the person that had the dream that he or she had just been killed in the spiritual realm at that time. For those who are close to God, He might show them their death in the spiritual realm in the hands of their enemies a day or some days in advance for them to pray and cancel it so that on the day that they are to be killed by their enemies, their enemies will fail.

Yes I do - they have destroyed the fabric of our spiritual existence. They have confused young souls and led them astray. They claim to be wise, but are foolish. They claim to have knowledge, but know nothing about the spiritual worlds. They are like magicians or tricksters that have no special skills.

If you read comments - it’s echos the teachings of false and ignorant pastors. It took me a while to break free from ignorant pastors and now I’m wiser. I am better. I understand myself more. I am a seeker. I now have a better understanding of death and why we are here on earth.

Chief it’s Sunday, weekend. Starting a thread is not my kind of thing. I’m a busy person. When I read something I believe is not true, I feel it should be corrected.

I am no guru - I am still in self development. Spirituality is a personal issue and not like religion where people are forced or coerced to join. If you care about your spiritual life, you would seek spiritual things to better yourself. Don’t wait for someone to spoon feed you as many do with their pastors. Don’t let my truth be your truth - experience your own truth.

The beauty about spirituality is that you KNOW and when you know and experience God, nobody can confuse you because you are experiencing the Creator in TRUTH and in SPIRIT.

I had a similar experience with my soldier uncle who died in a motor accident some 27 years back. I kept on seeing him in my dreams for more than 20 years. However, there was no interaction between us in the dreams. He always avoids talking to me.

I prayed and fasted. The dreams stopped after over 20 years.

Your dreams about him will come to an end one day.

What is the spirit of the dead? I have carefully read all the comments and shook my head in disappointment. Religion has failed people for not telling them the true condition of the dead. That's the op's problem. Knowing the condition of his late FREIND will spare him the anxiety.
I lost my beloved dad well over a decade now, but still seeing 'him' in my dreams, doing those basics things we love doing together. It's imaginary. it's the work the brain. That's how our brains was built to function. my dad was dead and gone. The dead has no spirit. Ecclesiastes 9:5,10 clearly help me not to be bothered about the whereabouts of the dead. they can't even help themselves talk less of harming us.
That is why Jesus says 'when you know the truth, the truth will set us free'
Millions of people all over the world are being free from the morbid fear of the dead.
