We all know that gender equality is a good thing but why is it that most women only want the good parts of equality but readily run away from responsibility? Why does society give them free passes? Why does society betray gender equality? I remember seeing two social experiments and one real life situation that exposed the hypocrisy of a society that claims to support gender equality. Here is what happened : 1) 1st Social Experiment : A man was physically harassing a woman on the streets and as he did that, men and women, mostly men, came to the woman's rescue and they were yelling at the man "you can't do such here, it's not allowed." After they had separated them, they asked the woman if she was alright. They were really concerned. When the genders were reversed, no one came to help the man. People just looked with surprise as if they had seen a ghost and kept on walking. Some kept looking without helping the man out. Then the most shocking thing happened, a man passing joined in to hit the man and walked away ---- I kid you not. 2) 2nd Social Experiment : The same thing happened only that no one joined to hit the man. 3) This one was a story shared on nairaland were a woman was raping a man in public. Luckily for the man, another man came to help but I noticed another man was calmly watching before the intervention and he did nothing throughout. Imagine if it had been a man raping a woman, the public would have given the male rapist the beating of his life and he would have been shamed all over the Internet. Why is it that when a man sexually touches or kiss a woman without her permission he is severely punished by society but when a woman does it, nothing happens? People, men including, joke about it and even insinuate that the man should be happy to have such free enjoyment and he should be glad. What happened to equality? If a woman screams rape in the market place and points at a man without evidence, he is in trouble especially if she is very dramatic. If a man accuse a woman of rape in our society, some would mock and laugh at him for being weak or not being able to recognise the "pleasurable privilege" his female rapist(s) is giving to him. This has to stop and we need to start taking equality seriously. If it's wrong for a man to hit a woman, it is also wrong for a woman to hit a man. If it is disgusting for a man to rape a woman, it is disgusting for a woman to rape a man. Society should stop shaming male rape victims as weak and female rapists should face the same condemnation as male rapists. Another way society has betrayed equality is seen in gender roles when it comes to relationships. While society has agreed that a woman is not obliged to do the house chores, cook or wash for her man and men should learn to do these things, society had failed and resisted the introduction of equality in the responsibilities of a man to his woman. Society screams "women are not men's slave and it's not their inherent duty to cook, clean and tidy the house for her husband" but society screams "if you can't spend money on your girlfriend or wife, you are not a man and it's the duty of a man to provide. If you love your girlfriend, you will spend on her." Why can't society support the idea of equality and insist that men don't owe women a dime and it's not a man's inherent duty to provide? Why doesn't society insist that women too should contribute financially and can be the bread winners? Isn't it about equality? This seems like a harsh truth that society doesn't like address. Society thinks men should take part in keeping the home but thinks the man is shameless to have his woman provide for him. So much pressure and exploitation of men in relationships. Men buy into this rubbish all in the name of love and then end up committing suicide when they get dumped after investing so much money. Why should you, as an undergraduate, pay a girl's school fees when her father is still alive? True love?   Why does this happen? Simply hypocrisy. Why support gender equality when you can't truly keep it? Things like this happen when men don't stand up for their fellow men when it comes to gender equality but give irresponsible women free passes even at the expense of their fellow men. Why is it that in the USA and other parts of the world, if a girl accuses a guy of rape without evidence, he goes to jail and can spend years for a crime he didn't do? Even if the girl is caught lying, she is allowed to walk away free. Sometimes, it is proven that the girl lied but the man still stays in jail. Why is it that men have to give women half of what they own during a divorce even when the woman has two hands and legs to go and hustle? If the man can't pay, he goes to jail and many men are in jail because they can't pay child support and alimony. Many men are in prison for rape they didn't commit. If turns out that the child support a man was paying was paid over a child that wasn't his, he still has to keep on paying and the woman is never prosecuted for paternity fraud. In France, the leftist country and soon to be Islamic caliphate, it is illegal to get a DNA test for your own child. What free passes for irresponsible women and betrayal of men despite the so called support for gender equality. Later, people wonder why the MGTOW movement is gaining momentum. Notice who always benefit from these gender equality compromises ------- the female.  There is this movement called the #metoo movement and another #believewomen (google it) meaning that any accusation a woman brings up against a guy should be believed and that a woman cannot lie about sexual assault. I kid you not, these happen and many men have been destroyed by this. Is this not madness? What's more shocking is that many men support these nonsense and can be seen at the rallies voicing their support for this ridiculous garbage. As I have said, things like this happen because men and irresponsible women have joined hands to give women free passes even if it means using men as the scape goats. Men must know what gender equality is and start standing for it without compromise. Responsible women must call out irresponsible women who are hypocrites when it comes to equality. Many women should make up their minds on whether they want equality. Wanting equality without taking responsibilities and facing consequences is like wanting free speech but censoring speeches that offend you or don't agree with you. I know rεtards will come to attack me but if you truly support gender equality, you will agree with me that society can do better when it comes to gender equality. Gender equality should not be enforced only when it comes to academic careers and vocational skills. Cc. I saw the two videos you're talking about on youtube and they were really sad. The people who ignored the man being attacked were asked later why they acted when the woman was attacked but did nothing when the man was attacked replied they thought whatever the man did he deserved it. PRESENTATION:Exactly. I read about the Cardi B story. Bill Cosby is in jail for drugging and raping women but Cardi B gets a free pass because she's a woman. People are even rationalising her case. Had a man said something like that, he would have been in huge trouble by now. You asked "Why didnt she work 2 or 3 jobs combined ? Or raping, drugging and stealing is the only way out of poverty ?" Well, as I said, a lot of women would overlook that because taking responsibility for their actions isn't in their blood. I remember he said "... my wife threw me from the balcony and I fell landing in the garden." Guess what? The audience burst into laughter. Jeremy Kyle immediately corrected them saying that he doesn't see why they should laugh that had the genders been reversed, the reaction would have been different. There was an immediate silence and the guy continued narrating his ordeal. I'm sad but I've knew that this is the true meaning of gender equality. I have made a decision not to give any girl anything because she's a girl. Women are being celebrated everyday; women's day, mother's day, gf day, niece day, aunties day but men....just once. And some brainless guys would say you don't know d struggles women are going through... Excuse me! Which struggle? Women are handed everything on a plate of gold. My elder sister and I got admission into the higher institution, different school...I got into a uni while she got into a poly. Her monthly upkeep is 4x more than mine and before the month runs out, she's already asking for more. If I try same, I'd have to explain how I spent mine. Such an unfair world. I got an interview for my gf of a month old, she didn't go for the interview because she doesn't want to offend her principal (who pays her 10k...that's what she said) cause the school is writing their exams. In the same week she's complaining to me that she doesn't have money...no money for offering. I bet she's expecting me to send her money. I agree with what you all are saying as a Woman that as a youth was a tomboy, I would try to fight boys but usually got beat up, that made me know that physically I am the weaker vessel. Any over powering has to be mentally. I believe in being submissive to your husband, but that is for a man that will appreciate it and not abuse you with it. This is not a thread who should spend on a date or money but a thread about GENDER EQUALITY We have a system that supports and shades women whenever they do something wrong Cardi B has rapped, drugged and stole from people yet she's being celebrated. They said we can't imagine what her life must have been like. Bill Cosby went to jail. R. Kelly (don't know if he's guilty or not) is still paying families for the accusations. Lavinia Woodward stabbed her boyfriend but she didn't go to jail because she was studying a very important course. If the case was reversed, the guy would be in jail. A guy trended on twitter for attempting suicide after he was wrongly accused of rape. The said victim realised that she was raped after two years. Edo state govt passed a bill that sends any man to jail for touching a woman neglecting the number of falsely accused victims in our society.
