Both Jehovah and YAHWEH are rendering of the Hebrew word for God...Just that Yahweh is closer to the Hebrew word than Jehovah.

I think he did as the KJV has been in existence long before Jehovah's Witnesses adopted that name. So he is making sense!

If JWs had not claim to come and restore THE ORIGINAL NAME OF GOD in the Bible, that won't be an issue but claiming to come to restore original name of God, also knowing full well that Jehovah isn't close to the original form and went ahead to ADOPT it just because people are already used to it. It's the most ridiculous part of it!

In the Hebrew~Aramaic scripture[Old Testament] the divine name was replaced with the title 'LORD' as all the alphabets are written in capital letters, the translators of KJV only make use of the name Jehovah where the message could sound odd. For example at Exodus 6:2,3 and Psalms 83:18 there it was clear that a REAL name must suffice for the scripture to sound meaningful!
But in other parts like Psalms 23:1,110:1 the KJV rendered the divine name as LORD. These is why the JWs restored the name in all it's proper places!
So whenever you're reading the Bible, anywhere you find the title LORD in capital letters know that it's Jehovah or Yahweh that's supposed to be there.
Jehovah's Witnesses only corrected that!

When I come across a post like this, I feel for jw and their doctrine. If my son calls me daddy or my real name what is the difference? Of course, I could take as insult for my child callingme by name everytime for every reason.
