In a way you are equally wrong here concerning the stove. In as much as she didn't state the kind of stove the guy uses. There are many stoves that cooks as fast as using a gas stove. Also, a gas stove with rust and worn out burners could be as stressful as using a bad stove.
About inspection, I could not agree totally with her, it could be a makeup story.
Some Women are fond of taking some quantity of food home after cooking for you.

I don't think you understood what I wrote. The guy bleeped up only because he went ahead to inspect the foodstuff she bought. That does not just scream stingy and stupid or broke, it also shows you the level of distrust he has for her (not necessarily to poison him, it could be financialwise). That's why I wrote that they may have a history she didn't see fit to include in her epistle.
