Forget friendship.... Even family sef.... I don't give out my account details anyhow, especially for lame and flimsy excuses of money transfers. Nah.... The level of fraudulent activities going on these days is alarming.

One has to be careful before getting roped into a money laundering racket.

Don't go to the bank immediately.

Firstly, make a report to any Police station close to you. They will take the case from there.

Do you have records of your conversations, chat or messages you had with your friend who initiated this fraudulent transaction? Make a print out, swear to a court affidavit and make formal report at a police station while you keep your lawyer informed. Then you can proceed to the bank, pls note you may be arrested cuz your account may have been flagged for fraud but this steps will make ur case a lot easier. The purpose of this, is to come clean and clear your name from this mess for the purpose future bank transactions unless you have concluded you have no needs for banks again in Nigeria. Your bvn will always give u up anytime, your friend used you.

Don't ever go to the bank, the bank is going to hand you over to the police immediately..First go to the police and make a report before any other thing..

So I sent him my account details and the person sending him money credited my account 50K I told him that I revived only 50K not 300K he said yes that the person has reached his limit for the day ..

I seen him his money later in the evening via Quickteller because the server was not good and I was left with only 22K that was in my account before ok good ..

Fast forward to yesterday Evening I tried checking my account my login in and I noticed my account has been restricted I was confused on what might have happened I thought it’s something simple that I’ll walk to the bank and perfect it .. then I decided to message the costumer care I was told I need to update my Bvn informations that I should dial a particular number and follow instructions I tried it but it’s not working .

I’m suppose to visit the bank today but I was busy

Just after my Pratical in school today I was sitting when my guy called me again that is there anything wrong with my account he said I should not go to the bank because the 50K transaction that was sent earlier was fraudulent I was like wtf but he dropped the call ..

I called him again his contact was not available so after sometimes he messaged me online telling me the guy that sent it used his brothers account and he told him that it’s not from his account that his own personal account has been locked too because he later revived money directly from him and that’s how he got to know ..

What i’m after is a solution now can I go to the bank and explain my self already or what can I do to make all this not to bounce on me because I know noting about it I’ve never received any fraudulent transactions before someone said I should take him along to the bank and just hand him over when anything happens all
I need is a solution right now me mad the guy went to same primary school and secondary so I know him very well and made me trust him with my account what can I do right now

What are you afraid of, if you are sure you are not "dirty" go to the bank and report your observations or else if they come for you, you will be worse off

Kindly report your self quietly to the nearest police station as soon as possible. When you gate to their gate, say police I am here.

If I were you, I will call my guy again and record the calls or even send him a message, then forward same to the bank explaining all you went through.
Honestly, with my experience of NPF operations, I'd rather you go there with a good lawyer and not all by yourself else those black dressing guys will reap you off

Contact a lawyer, he knows what to do.

if you know any police officer personally, approach him. if not, report to a respected person in your area to accompany you to the police station. don't go alone. report yourself before you get arrested. the account has been reported that's why it was restricted. once you get to the bank, you'll be arrested before you explain anything. by the way, what state are you in?

You only need to report to the police. Just tell the police that you received an unsolicited fund and you suspect it's a fraud proceed from a friend you barely even know. Don't immediately indict your friend so they won't arrest him. So proceed to the bank to regularise your acct. but don't touch the money. You can only spend to the 50k limit in the account. No need telling the bank anything...The bank is likely to call you in few days if indeed it's a fraud proceed and the owner is already looking for the money. Then, proceed to the bank with a police cos they would have waited...then, you will all go to your friend to effect his arrest. End of story. Nollywood, happy ever after.

My dear, I advise you get a lawyer first, get an evidence from chats or recorded audio of your conversation with your friend.
Meet the police with your lawyer, so they don't detain you there.
Then, proceed to the bank.

Go to the bank. They will ask you questions explain the implications and warn you not to give out your account again. But wait, Banks don’t update customers nvm online. Are you sure you have not compromised your account?

I really hope the guy doesn't see this post otherwise he will still preparing his own defense.

First thing is to bait him, you need to do this in case it's really a fraudulent issue that might put you in trouble, you can do so by calling him with a phone that has a sound recorder or memory card or something, call him, put it on record and ask him (in a calm manner so as not to make him angry and end the call) to explain what really happened as you didn't get the gist when he first explained it to you the first time, tell him you just want to know what's up, make sure you get him to explain everything from beginning to and. After you much have gotten enought information then you can go to the bank, if it is a case that can put you in trouble at least you'll have evidence that he sent it. All you need do is gave him talk! Don't even hint him when it has to do with bank and the police, just act cool.
