It wasnt until earlier this year when I met someone who changed the horoscope. Like she is so down to earth and actually loved me for me, without even looking at my paralysis. Things were going smoothly until she started becoming aggressive and emotional over little issues.

It took a while but she was able to open up to let me know how her family vehemently told her they dont want to see her with someone like me. They also threatened to disown her if she insisted on being with me.

Currently, we decided to stop seeing each other for the sake of peace to reign in her family. We do keep communication on a 100. We both love each other genuinely and we do not want us to split just like that.

What do we do?

May your struggles make you a better person. You can't push people to accept you because of your condition or success. The best is for you to be happy first and other things like an accommodating partner will follow. I am not disabled, so I don't know how you feel but you should ask God to give you a right partner.

Take the bull by the horn and go and visit her parents

Well Polio is not a genetic defect so she needs to communicate that to her family. Ultimately it’s her choice though. I think she’s looking for a cheap escape route. Polio is something that can catch anybody if the parents were not enlightened enough

When people say *take the bull by the horn* it cracks me up so much. What if the parents reject him and humiliate him? He’s already dealing with enough. He should not go to a house where he has not been introduced to them by their child... some wicked parents will use the opportunity to arrest him as a thief for entering their house uninvited.

Really sorry about your ordeal. It's painful being stigmatized over a matter that was no fault of yours. Humans will be human. Right now, it's up to her. Sometimes when so called family don't have bases you as an individual consider relevant enough to keep off a good partner you have to stick to what u believe. Same family will still come around. Besides you yourself may not have the heart to allow her tear away from her family. It's a tough one.

If I was to advise, call your girl and have heart to heart with her.....her response will determine if she will be able to stand up to her mother. (to me, it seems she's looking for a cheap way to abandon the relationship) Ask her what she wants you to do now seeing you have done your best so far.

If she says "leave everything to god", just know she really wanted to leave.

If she brings out suggestions on how you can go meet her family or how she can confront her mom, or maybe explain to her..., just know you both are in it together so you can keep pushing and by the mercies of the Great God, you'll over come this.
