The guy went about it the wrong way. Accept it, thank her and then put it away if it falls below your standards. In the past, I have received gifts from girls which were not to my taste, I accepted it gladly, managed to wear it once or twice when meeting up with them then trash it.

It's always good to appreciate the thoughts behind any gifts. I consider myself a person with very high taste and I believe in buying my own items that will meet my own standards. That doesn't mean I should disrespect people who buy what falls below expectations.

Most women know nothing about men's items. A 5k watch is poor quality. Quality mens items cost alot. Women should ask what a man likes, get to know his tastes and if possible keep the gifts simple. Don't go buying aba designers, well except your boyfriend is an aba designers kind of guy.

I will not lie, ive never bought a gift for a man before cos boyfriend na boyfriend, Not husband.

If I'm to buy hubby a gift, I'll look for a nice TM shirt or nice cufflinks I know he needs more of. Yes! And if oga nor like am, I wear it cos I love corporate wears a lot. Even the cuff links, I go wear am.
