Abeg please with the lol reply either you let it be and the both of you never speak of it again (the coward move), thereby running the risk of some awkwardness since there might always be an elephant in the room. Or you come out and don't hide behind any silly joke defence and say something like "I'm serious. I dont see valentines day as a day anyone should be alone (add more blah blahs).
