not about comfort but about sacrifice.. what is coming is like winter of game of throne, a major out break in lagos would wipe so many souls that dead body would litter the street..

so the decision is should I sacrifice two weeks hunger strike and have my life intact, or should I go about looking for food and face death

It is better to go about looking for food and face death than stay home like a sitting duck waiting for slaughter.

The truth is two week ain't enough, China didn't conquer it in 2 weeks, neither die Europe/ US conquered it in 2 weeks.
Why you FG locked pple up for 2 weeks is misdirected.

People are just anxious to die.

Even the protest aids transmission of the virus.

In the quest to keep them safe, they still revolting.

the fact that you even have enough money for a phone and data to be here means you can at least survive or have ppl, if the worst comes to the worst you can sell your phone to feed but there are millions upon millions of Nigerians that they cant even afford a phone, it is until they go out on a daily basis that they are even able to eat one good meal a day, some don't even have up to 2000naira as savings, should those ppl now die of hunger so that you can survive? this is the time for everyone to extend that loving hand of help to all those around us, if many ppl tell you what they are passing through or the type of hunger they have passed through, just after these 3 days, you will shed serious tears for them. ppl are suffering and dying slowing out of hunger

at first I also saw the 2 weeks as totally unnecessary until I did a little research

*The Virus incubation period after contact is within 14 days
*Most people after 14 days either die or present themselves for treatment or recover fully without treatments
*The Infection is mostly transmitted by close contact or breathing within few feets of the infected person

so if a town has recorded its first case and it goes on full lock down with total compliance, the weaker one would die, the stronger one would survive, and the smarter one would rush to the hospital.. which makes the virus just disappear if their are no new contacts and our air borders remain closed

. You can easily recover from the virus(not elderly and persons with chronic illness) but hunger is the worst enemy.

look man, am not heartless to peoples plight and I fully understand the hierarchy of human needs, food/hunger is uncontrollable and involuntary and we as a nation we need to do more collectively..

But if only you can just watch the Wuhan patient cough uncontrollably repeatedly at almost 3 coughs per seconds holding their chest badly like it burns, till they die you would understand my point, corona killed more than boko haram in a slow painfull manner, corona killed 300 in just one night.. so I ask you if Boko haram were on the street of lagos killing people would we still come out to search for food?

Your last sentence caps it off..
.. there were new contacts already, those rich motherfhckers brought it from abroad.
And the FG put the fucking country on lockdown.
See, to a hungry person, every bitter food is sweet. When the preferable is not available, the available becomes preferable!

When the going gets tough even the rich will not be safe but first I want those hungry lagosian marched straight toward Boudillon maybe the opolo eye go bring out foods or bullion vans.

no money , no food, no light, no mass testing ,no money, now NO MOVEMENT

(by now there should be corona testing centers in every ward of the federation, there should have been mass recruitments of health workers to help, medical students and everyone should have been brought on board now. INSTEAD, they are now claiming that they have sent 3 billion naira to less privilege Nigerians, money that could have been used to create testing centers nationwide and used in providing equipment and kits. now doctors and nurses are complaining that they will stop work if they are not giving kits,
You guys don't understand the kind of people in power at the federal level. To them, the best kind of assistance to the led is alms giving and that is what they've been doing all this while. From Tradermoni to the present 3 billion claims. They do not understand that putting some things in place is more effective than doling out cash. Any educated man that supports the likes of Buhari to lead is actually uneducated. You all are on your own. I've always said it here that lockdown is never possible in the contraption. Before the week runs out, protests would have erupted across most geopolitical regions. People will fear hunger more than CoronaVirus or even the misdirected 'ahuas' aka 'khaki dogs'.

Shey I said a 2 weeks lockdown in Lagos is almost impossible. The government has to put some certain things in place to get such done. Food and light is the first. You don't expect someone who works to eat per day to observe this with all seriousness.
